अमेरिकी राजदूतावासले आज एक विज्ञप्ति जारी गर्दै माअोवादीसित गठबन्धन नगर्न प्रमुख राजनीतिक दलहरुलाई चेतावनी दिएको छ। सात दल र माअोवादीबीच वार्ता भइरहेको समाचार प्रकाशमा आउँदा दूतावासको यस्तो चेतावनी आएको हो। दूतावासले नेपाली र अंग्रेजी भाषामा जारी गरेको विज्ञप्ति हेर्नका लागि भित्र आउनुहोला। बाँकी
राजदूतावासद्वारा माओवादी-दल गठबन्धन विरुद्ध सचेत रहन आग्रह
अमेरिकी राजदूतावासले एक वा बढी मुख्य राजनीतिक दल र विद्रोही माओवादी बीच अगाडि बढिरहेको “गठबन्धन” को सम्भावनाबारे हालै नेपालमा प्रकाशित प्रतिवेदनहरुलाई संत्रासपूर्वक लिएको छ।
संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका यो उल्लेख गर्न चाहन्छ कि दलहरुले विगतमा भनेका थिए
माओवादीले जबसम्म हिंसा दृढतापूर्वक परित्याग गर्दैनन्, उनीहरुको हतियार बिसाउँदैनन् र प्रजातान्त्रिक प्रक्रियाको र्समर्थनमा वचनवद्ध हुदैनन् तबसम्म उनीहरुले माओवादीसंग कुनै औपचारिक सम्बन्ध जोडने छैनन्। गत भाद्रमा तिन महिने युद्धविरामको घोषणा गरे पनि माओवादीले दीर्घकालीन रुपमा हिंसा त्याग्न तयार रहेको संकेत दिने किसिमका कुनै कार्य गरेका छैनन् – अपहरण र रकम असुली जस्ता कार्य कुनै कमी बिना जारी छन्।
संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका नेपालमा प्रजातन्त्रको पुनस्थापना र माओवादी सत्ता-हरणको रोकावटलाई समर्थन गर्दछ। यी उद्देश्यहरुमा पुग्ने सबैभन्दा राम्रो बाटो नेपालका वैधानिक राजनीतिक शक्तिहरु अर्थात राजा र राजनीतिक दलहरुको एकता मार्फत् हो भन्ने कुरामा अमेरिका विश्वास राख्दछ। नेपाललाई अहिलेको सकंटबाट मुक्त गर्न हामी दुबै शक्तिलाई प्रभावकारी कार्यगत सम्बन्ध पुन-स्थापना गर्न र यस देश र जनताको प्रजातान्त्रिक र शान्तिपूर्ण भविष्यको लागि कार्य गर्न आग्रह गर्दछौं।
हामी आशा गर्छौं कि माओवादी असल-नियतिका साथ सरकारसँग शान्तिवार्तामा आउने छ, हतियार त्याग गर्नेछ र राजनीतिक मूलप्रवाहमा आउने छ। यी कदमहरु नचालुन्जेल माओवादीलाई वैधानिक राजनीतिक दलको रुपमा व्यवहार गर्न सकिदैन।

Embassy Warns Against Maoists-Parties “Alliance”
The U.S. Embassy notes with alarm recent reports in Nepal media on the emerging potential for an “alliance” between one or more of the major political parties and the Maoist rebels.
The United States notes that the parties in the past have said that they would not enter into any formal relationship with the Maoists, unless and until the Maoists firmly renounce violence, put down their weapons, and commit to supporting the democratic process. Despite declaring a three-month ceasefire in September, the Maoists have done nothing to indicate that they are prepared to abandon violence in the long term, and abductions and extortion continue unabated.
The United States, which supports the restoration of democracy in Nepal and the prevention of a Maoist takeover, believes the best way to reach these goals is through unity of Nepal’s legitimate political forces – the political parties and the monarchy. We urge both to re-establish an effective working relationship to lead Nepal out of its current crisis, and to work toward a democratic and peaceful future for the country and its people.
We hope that the Maoists will enter into peace negotiations with the government in good faith, abandon their weapons, and come into the political mainstream. Until these steps are taken, the Maoists cannot be treated as a legitimate political party.
