राजाले सबै दललाई वार्ताका लागि आह्वान गरेका छन्। नयाँ वर्षको अवसरमा दिइएको शुभकामना सन्देशमा वार्ताको आह्वान भएको हो। देशभर जनआन्दोलनको उभार बढिरहेको बेला नयाँ वर्षको अवसरमा दिइने सन्देशमा कुनै नयाँ कुरा हुन्छ कि भनी नेताहरुले समेत प्रतीक्षा गरिरहेको जस्तो देखिएको थियो। तर, सबैले सोचे जस्तो यसमा कुनै नयाँ कुरा छैनन्। यसको मुख्य विशेषता भनेकै दलहरु भनी नामै किटेर वार्ताका लागि आह्वान भएको छ। नभए सबै पक्ष वार्ता गर्नुपर्यो भनिन्थ्यो। संवादको ढोका सँधै खुल्ला रहेको पनि भनिएको छ। शान्तिपूर्ण कार्यक्रममा गोली ठोक्ने काम भइरहेको बेला राजाको यस आह्वानलाई नेताहरुले गम्भीरतापूर्वक लेलान् जस्तो मलाई लाग्दैन। अनि यो सन्देशको अर्को विशेषता भनेको यसमा संसदीय निर्वाचनको तिथि तोक्ने काम भएको छैन। जबकि पोहोरको नयाँ वर्षको सन्देशमा केही समय सीमा तोकिएको थियो। नगर निर्वाचनको ऐतिहासिक असफलताबाट नै तिथि तोक्ने साहस नआएको हुनुपर्छ। बाँकी

Hey Sat Dal, now you have two options left either accept MB’s call to join hands to topple the king or sit with the king for dialogue. Where is your Kitta now? Had you done enough homework before you called this movement? If not, keep aside, let the new leaders take leadership of this agitation. You have no moral right to keep lingering the movement for the sake of your hidden hope that one day king would call you and hand you over the power. Stop day dreaming and declare what you want, otherwise you will be left behind and the new leaders will take the charge from you all. So, what is your Kitta, wake up and speak out clearly in simple language such that a normal citizen can also understand.

I read your opinions and my blood has began to warming up. We must chase Gyanendra and his devel family from the Nepal. The Royal members never thought the development of the country, all they do is entertainment in the Royal Palace, look at Paras…do you think he would be king??? this ould be just a joke if it happens. *******…how would he be king of Nepal???

I would like to deliver this message to the Nepalese people, don not step back….this is the golden chance of Revolution. Leaders neverever negotiate with the king, this is a golden oppurtunity to chase him out of the country.
Hey security forces, wake up and point your weapons towards the king Gyanendra and his family as he did to king Birendra….wake up guys, this is our country. we love to be called Nepalese and we are do sacrifice to build out lovely nation.

Nepal is ready for republican, there is noway Nepalese people will negotiate with the king. We don’t need king anymore, we have seen how did he do? he consumed a year budged just for his entertainment that sort of budget should have bben used for the development.
Once we sack him, there will be lots more better in the country. If we look at the queen in Britain, she just a symbole of the nation, she never interfares in politics, if Ganendra should have in the same position of Britain queen he would long last but this is the last stage of Ganendra. Yeah political party should have to accept the talk offered by Gyanandra. But But But only with the clear road map. The roadmap should also include the minimum demand of Maoist to resolve the Maoist problem of the country. No one can now ignore the force of Maoist.
Parties please make talk with Maoist and find out the safewayout for their peoples army and other main issues. Only then SPA will have something to make deal with Gyanandra. The negotiation only for pariliament reinstate will be fatal. This movement must give the clearcut direction to the constituent assembly with clearcut issues like wether to go for Monarchy, or monarchial democracy, or even there should be option of Republic for the Nepalese People.
King is no more the symbol of unity.
We all are Nepal and Nepal can be united more firmly without this brutal and costly king.

Kanak Dixit, Editor Himal South Asian and Publisher Himalmedia, was arrested in Kathmandu on Saturday, April 8, with a host of other professionals for defying curfew to press for democratic rights in Nepal. He remains in detention. This column was smuggled out of jail.
All over the subcontinent, every day, the most disadvantaged fall through the cracks. They are pummelled by the forces of state, market or feudalism. The middle class, the political parties, or those linked to the state have recourse although it may not be always available or efficiently delivered. The tragedy of Southasia is that those who are left out are not the exception but the rule.
This abuse can cover a whole spectrum of activities, from displacement of tribals from forest reserves which has been their traditional homes, to trans-boundary missiles that land in the middle of shanties of NWFP, to street-side youngsters devoured by the security machinery of an autocratic state bent on repression.
Taken in by Kathmandu’s royal regime with two dozen other protesters last week for willfully (and with prior announcement) breaking the curfew order, this writer had opportunity to see how a ‘militarising’ autocratic state machinery can ride rough-shod over some of the weakest members of society.
What we have seen during our incarceration is something that the privileged with contacts in high places or money to buy oneself safe passage rarely care to see or understand. Of the types of inmates in this makeshift detention centre at the Duwakot armed police barracks outside Kathmandu the relatively well-known human rights activists have little fear of violence once they are taken in.
But there is an entire category of true innocents. Most of these young adults are migrants who have left their families in faraway hills and plains, to work in menial jobs.
Firstly, it is the chase on the streets, the attacks by batons and staffs, the abuse, and the bundling into the back of trucks. Once in the holding centre, the toilet facilities are non-existent, then they are transported from one detention centre to another, provided with no information whatsoever. No food is provided for more than a day, and when it is it is of the lowest grade imaginable. There is fear that authorities in need of proving Maoist ‘infiltration’ of the democratic movement can with the flick of a pen declare you an insurgent and do away with your life prospects.
Who will tell the family, who will inform the employer? Who is to defend you, and to charge the regime with wrongful imprisonment, and seek a writ of habeas corpus, and demand release and reparation?
Dambar Nepali, is 14, from Udayapur in the hills of the east. He works as a construction labourer and was taken in and beaten while coming home from work. Ramesh Basnet, 23, from Dhading, was returning from the printing press where he works. Ram Kumar Tamang drives a microbus, license plate No 4266, and was crossing the road during a curfew when he was detained. Biraj Sharma, 18, was loitering outside a roadside shop in an area outside curfew limits. “The policemen were like demons,” he recalls, “they kicked my head as if it was a football.”
Some policemen can be fine, sensitive individuals. But they take orders from an insensitive state run by a ruler who has sought again and again to prove his contempt for the people of Nepal.
This is one more reason for a quick return to democracy, pluralism and peace.
Ramesh Basnet told me the day before yesterday before he was taken away: “This turns out to be the kind of country I was born into. I love my country, but I hate the government. I have not picked up a stone, I have not burnt a tyre in protest, why am I here, and where will they take me?”

Does it make any difference if a goat about to sacrifice weeps for its life before butcher? No right. It is the same, so lets not appeal to dictator. But if you can, appeal to our deaf leadership who still try to ignore peoples’ call. We freedom fighters appreciate your encouragement for the complete democracy or to be clear- a republican setup.

rama sinha suks,,go and drown yourself in a cup of water for reading this kind of message from this self procalimed king. his message sounds funny,,dont make sense. He and the so called cheifs of surakshakarmis should be tried in public court of the inhumane acts that they have committed. If a general public kills someone he gets life sentence, what about the police, their chiefs and the kings, they should not considered any higher than a normal person. Right now they are criminals as well, guilty of initiating mass killings.

This is message conveyed from newly constitued New Nepal Officer Corpse (NNOC) within RNA:
Fellow Nepali Brothers and Sisters:
Since November, 2001 many of us young officers in the Royal Nepali Army, despite having our serious doubt about the Royal Massacre, have been diligently fighting to bring the Peace to the country.
However when we are in the frontline putting our lives on the line of fire, we have been reassessing this spectre of violence and its ultimate outcome.
We by no means enjoy taking our fellow Nepalis’ life and it’s only due to the respect for the chain of command and duty to protect the motherland from chaos that we committed ourselves to fighting.
Over the years many of us younger officers have collectively come to the conclusion that this conflict is resolvable but for the stubbornness of King Gyanendra.
We can not let our beloved country to slide to abyss for one individual’s failure.
We here by announce the formation of the formation of New Nepal Officer Corpse (NNOC) and immediately call on all patriotic, nationalist and true sons of Mother Nepal, men of all ranks and positions to join us and thwart this unfortunate bid to a grave danger to our national sovereignty.
It is of our view that our national sovereignty and safety of the motherland can only be guaranteed by the coming together of all the national forces in Nepal. Hence we call on the political parties to start dialogue with the young officers within RNA and Police force.
Similarly we call upon our Maoists brothers to join hand and avert the danger to the national survival by initiating a dialogue process rather than outright attack on our outlying base camps and barracks. Many young officers within the camps and barracks are already member of NNOC and will commit to come to a common understanding as to how to throw this yolk of corrupt Gyanendra regime.
Finally due to the turn of events over the years we have come to the conclusions that Monarchy as an institution in Nepal has over-lived its usefulness. Now time has come to usher in a new Republican Nationalist mode of government. We also hereby announce the renaming the RNA to New Nepal Army (NNA) to reflect the true composition of its formation.

There is only one Patriotic (DESHBHAKTA) remains in our Country, That is King Gayanendra. All Leaders are oppertunities, Dalal of outsiders mainly India. We need Demoracy not with out King but should be Constitutional not Autocrat. All powers must be togrther to solve present problem with meaningful dialogs with King. So-called Demostration will be benifitted only for a handful of so-called leaders and india not for People of Nepal, who are brain washed.

The cash-strapped Nepal government is becoming the target of overseas conmen.
A dubious Britain-based organisation, headed by a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), is trying to snare the royalist government by offering to lend high sums of money at ridiculously low interest rates.
With foreign assistance drying up and domestic revenue mobilisation being hit by a spate of blockades and closures, King Gyanendra’s government is looking at desperate measures – and becoming the target of money launderers.
Triad Finance Ltd, based in London and headed by British passport holder, Prashant Dey, recently approached the Nepal government through its representative office in Kolkata, offering to lend $150 million payable in 20 years at less than one per cent interest.
According to a Nepali weekly, State Minister for Finance Rup Jyoti, who almost convinced the King and started the process for finalising the deal, took up the offer.
However, the King, who was a businessman before he ascended the throne, wanted a background check on the company.
The investigation found no evidence of assets or balance sheet and the deal was dropped.
This is not the first time that overseas companies have approached the government with such tempting offers. Prior to Triad, an Australian firm offered a loan of up to $500 million.
Nepal has an unfortunate track record of being taken in by dodgy companies.
Almost 25 years ago, a similar deal resulted in a company misusing the bank guarantee pledged by the country’s central bank, Nepal Rastra Bank, to raise loans from elsewhere, creating a scandal.
The government lost a good deal of money and a senior central bank official had to resign.
“Why should a genuine company provide loans to a government that might fall any time?” said an opposition leader.
“Much of the loan would be used for weapons that are now being used on civilians to suppress anti-King protests. When a people’s government comes to power, why should it honour the loan that contributed to its repression?”

I am not the opposer of the dialogue but I think it is better for political party and nepali janta to continue their peace andolan. And before starting to talk with the king, I think it is better to arrange a special meeting thats include all the forces( SPA, other small party, Nagarik Samaj, Human Right group, student group, Maoist delegation, Dalit and other discriminant group of Nepal) and our target should be to get the maximum liberty from this king so that history ma yasto din pheri nadorihos. Yo andolan ma nepali ko bhabisya adkeko cha.
So please donot go to the king for peace talk right now. Wait patiently.
And keep continuing what you are doing in nepal for last 7-8 days.

There is nothing new in the King’s message to the nation, now it is up to political parties to continue their agitation or compromise with king. Political Parties are in Limbo now, they don’t have staright forward road map, after King what will be in Nepal, the 7 parties have no answer for it…if there is no king there will be no consitituion or parliment…does 7 parties have interim consitutaion. So, this is vague situations now, I wish & parties have total contorl over their agitations..if it goes out of control..then Nepal will be no where.
Maoist and the king both are preety much self centred force…Niether will be well wisher for 7 parties..if this struggle of & parties goes out of hand then the big winner will be KING and The Maoist. Comments please……

आन्दोलन फेरी शिथिल हुन थाली सकेको छ। यसको लक्षण हामीले काठमाडौ बाटै देख्न सक्छौ। आज सबै सवारी साधन सुचारु भैसके, सबै अफिस हरु खुला थिए, क्रीतिपुरमा, गोङ्गबु मा पनी तेती राम्रो सहभागीता थिएन। भोलि शुक्रबार बाट त सबै सवारी साधन सधा झै सुचारु हुने प्रबल सम्भाबना छ। यो पटक पनि सरकार आन्दोलन दबाउन सफल भएको छ। अब काठमाडै मै सवारी साधन चल्न थाले पछि मान्छे त काम मा ब्यस्त भै हाल्छन् अनि जब काठमाडौ मा नै आन्दोलन सिथिल भयो भने त देशका बाकि भाग मा कैले सम्म आन्दोलन चल्न सक्लार? सरकार ले तेसै पनि आन्दोलन सिथिल पार्न का लागि मान्छे हरुलाइ सुरुमै गोली ठोक्न थाली सकेको छ।

गणतन्त्र नेपाल निर्माणका लागि अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सञ्जाल

नेपालको २ सय ३७ वर्षदेखि नेपाली नागरिकमाथि शोषण दमन र उत्पीडन गर्दै आएको राजतन्त्रका विरुद्द पूर्णगणतन्त्र नेपाल निर्माणका लागि ससक्त एक अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सञ्जाल गठन भएको समाचार प्राप्त भएको छ।
अमेरिका, युरोप र एसियाका २५ वटा राष्ट्रमा बसोबास गर्ने नेपालीहरुको सक्रिय सहभागीता रहेको यस सञ्जालको नाम “गणतन्त्र नेपाल निर्माणका लागि अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सञ्जाल” रहेको छ।
यस संस्थामा छोटो अवधिमा नै २५ राष्ट्रका ५ जनादेखि २ सय जनासम्मको सक्रिय आवद्दताबाट एक हजार पाँच सय १६ जना संगठित सदस्य भइसकेका छन्।
यस अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सञ्जालमा अमेरिका, क्यानाडा, बेलायत, जर्मन, जापान, अस्ट्रेलिया, चीन, दक्षिण कोरिया र फ्रान्स रहेका छन्। त्यसैगरी अन्य राष्ट्रहरुमा बेल्जियम, रुस, साउदी अरब, कुवेत, मलेसिया, हङकङ, भारत, पाकिस्तान, बंगलादेश, थाइल्याण्ड, सिंगापुर, डेनमार्क, स्वीजरल्याण्ड, स्वीडेन तथा आयरल्याण्ड रहेका छन्।
यस सञ्जालको मुख्य उद्देश्य नेपालमा निरंकुश राजतन्त्रको अन्त्यका लागि अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय समर्थन जुटाउनु, विदेशमा रहेका सम्पूर्ण नेपालीलाई नेपालमा रहेका आफन्तहरुलाई त्यसमार्गमा लाग्न संगठित गर्ने, सात दल र माओवादी समझदारीलाई अझै शसक्त र प्रभावकारी बनाउन दवाव दिने, माओवादीहरुलाई शान्तिपूर्ण र प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक राजनीतिमा आउन उत्साहित गर्ने र निरंकुश राजतन्त्रका पक्षमा लडिरहेका नेपाली सेना र प्रहरीलाई गणतन्त्र नेपाल निर्माणका लागि शाही सत्ताका हतियार फ्यांकेर शान्तिपूर्ण जनआन्दोलनमा अघि बढ्न प्रेरित गर्ने लगायतका छन्।
स्थापनाको विशेष अवसरमा यो सञ्जाल सेना र प्रहरीमा रहेका सम्पूर्ण नेपाली दाजुभाइ तथा दिदी बहिनीहरुलाई शाही रछ्यान्को रक्षाका लागि आफ्नो अमूल्य जीवन खेर नफाली तत्काल लोकतान्त्रिक जनआन्दोलनमा सहभागी हुन र्सवप्रथम आहृवान गर्दछ।
इमेलमार्फत प्राप्त समाचारमा भनेको छ – सञ्जाल निर्माणको प्रयत्न सन् २००६ जनवरी १ देखि शुरु गरी अप्रिल ९ मा औपचारिक घोषणा गरिएको हो। यसको मुख्यालय संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिकाको न्युयोर्कमा रहेको छ। यो अभियानमा विश्वभर रहेका नेपालीहरुलाई तत्काल सहभागिता जनाउन सञ्जालले हार्दिक अपिल गरेको छ।
