नेपाल सरकार, मन्त्रिपरिषद्को आज बसेको बैठकले श्रीपेच भएको श्री ५ को सरकारको लोगो पनि परिवर्तन गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। बैठकले वार्ता टोली बनाउने विषयमा पनि छलफल गरेको छ। वार्ताका लागि शान्ति सचिवालयको समिति गठन गरिने भएको छ। तर मन्त्रिपरिषदको विस्तार भने अझै हुनसकेको छैन।
यसैबीच सरकारले सबै सरकारी कार्यालयहरुमा रहेको पुरानो बोर्डहरुमा नेपाल सरकार लेख्न निर्देशन दिएको छ। यसअघि, जनताले स्वस्फूर्त यस्ता बोर्डहरुमा नेपाल सरकार लेख्ने गरिरहेको भए पनि आज सरकारले अौपचारिक रुपमा नै यस्तो निर्देशन दिएको हो। यसैगरी रबर स्ट्याम्प, लेटर प्याड आदि पनि परिवर्तन गर्न भनेको छ।
त्यसो गर्दा मितव्ययिता अपनाउन पनि सरकारले निर्देशन दिएको छ। अहिलेलाई श्री ५ को सरकार लेखिएको शब्दलाई केरेर भए पनि काम चलाउन निर्देशन दिइएको छ।
शाही राखिएको शब्दलाई के परिवर्तन गर्ने हो, सुझाव दिन पनि आग्रह गरिएको छ। लौ साथीहरु तपाईँहरुका पनि केही सुझाव छन् भने दिनुस्। सरकारका कसैले हाम्रो सुझावमा पनि विचार गर्ने पो हुन् कि !

We should wait until the new government after the CA election is formed. This goverment will bring all the changes according to the constitution. The changes made now may either be improper or may needed to add more information. All the changes made in this transition period are interim carrying a temporary nature.
More permanent and concrete changes will be later according to the constitution.
In my opinion, the Passport (temporary) and Citizonship (permanent) documents issued before can remain as before, until the new constitution is in action. Then all the replacement and changes will be be according to constitution.
Focus should be to the interim constitution, interim goverment and election for the constitutional assembly.
In my opinion, during the election time of teh CA, all these positive comments made here will have their good value and relavance.

Thank you for your ability to pick up the relavant matter and asking for suggestions/comments.
Keep also the comments that are unhappy with the future Nepal. We can read how the mandales are reacting. How low is their mentalities? and so on.
In my opinion, the crown and two slippers should be removed and replaced by more common thing for example mt everest, or similar.
I am in the same opinion as Bishnu Ghimire says from UK.

I think the change is for good. However, in addition to the removal of symbols that reflects king/queen, we need to reform all of our government office activities and practices. Say for example, DHILA SUSTI, AANA KANI ra GHUS KHORI as a few. Office workers and managers attitudes need to be changed so that people do not have to suffer for smallest things (specially think of people coming from remote villeges). People in the cities may not care this much but for majority of Nepalese, rigths and justices in work places are very important matters. Hopefully, this will also be changed on the days to come. First and foremost, people need to empower themselves against any sort of descrimination and autocracies. God bless!

Since our country is secular now, Cow is our FOOD; it is like a broiler chicken. this is how we can make our country America and Japan. The cow looks funny in the government logo. It can rather be replaced by a real “broiler chicken”.
Nepal has broken all taboos now. The king was cruel, inhuman and a murderer. Now, we SHOULD destroy our WHOLE IDENTITY; THERE should be no Dashain vacation, no Tihaar celebration, Our government radio should not start with DHARMIK Kaaryakram and Buddist preachings, our TV should not give any program on Sanatan Dharm (the undemocratic feudal religion), the Saskrit Schools, which are already extremely poor, should be demolished or replaced by Madrassas or churches. And this way the Royalists will come out and say, “the religion was protected by the King (the idol thief)” and then we will hate Hinduism and Buddism even more.
And yes, our nepali dress also should be changed. It should be changed into Maoist combat uniform, because Gyanendra wears dauraa suruwaal; we should ban that dress too.
This is called total “GANATANTRA”

The “shahi” word should disappear completely from everywhere, such as the army (RNA), RNAC and so on. The reason is Gyandendra is going to the court for the 2001 Palace massacre. And his son Paras is also following his father for the murder of Pravin Gurung and all other insults he has done in public places.

My suggestions:
1. Change the names of the places and municipalities: Mahendra Nagar, Birendra Nagar, (surkhet), Tribhuvan Nagar (dang), etc.
2. Change the Names of Universities and Campuses: Tribhuvan and Mahendra Sanskrit Universities, Tribhuvan, Dipendra, Birendra, Mahendra, Prithvi Narayan Campuses, etc. Change the names of the institutions too like RONAST.
3. Names of Jungles and National Parks: Royal Chitawan, Shuklaphata, etc. Change Mahenra Tal to Rara tal too.
4. Names of highways and city streets: Mahenra Highway, Tribhuvan Rajpath, etc. Mahendra Chowk, Mahendra Pul, etc too.
5. Names of Awards: Mahenra Bidhyabhusan, etc.
6. Remove all the statues of dead and alive kings and their families from public places.

It is necessary to change all official papers. But it it would be foolish and waist of time to remove everything across the country that carry the word Royal. Note that the word royal also has its own meaning and not necessarily denotes the Royal regime of Nepal.

To replace the word Sahi, jana is the exact word according to my opinion. For example; sahi nepali sena means nepali jana sena . It is the name like maoist sena, but it represents all nepali people and their devotion for democracy. So, we should not hesitate to adopt name if it is of any origin and may be maoist. e.g., all party have reached in the agenda of constituent assembly as it was the agenda of maoist before 1 year. So the word sahi can be replaced by Jana.

In Logo, there should be photo of Nepali geography along with culture and the photo in NRs currency, there should be photos of our stars like Buddha, Sita, Vrikuti, Laxmi Prasad Devkota, Lekh Nath Poudel etc.
I would advise Sadavawan party member to speak Nepali local language like Maiteli, Bhojpuri, Awadi (all Terai local language) not Hindi because Hindi is not our local language if they are representing Terai nepalese otherwise it is ok what they are doing. If they speak Hindi, it proves that they are not representing Terai Nepali, they are representing India or ???????????

There is already नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंक, why not नेपाल राष्ट्र सरकार!? It is better than, unpalatable राष्ट्रिय नेपाली सरकार which connotes नेपालिको people (जनता) सरकार rather than नेपाल रास्ट्र nation(देश)सरकार।

The word Shahi should be deleted for ever. If I were to decide on it, I would not replace it with anything. Just delete it forever.
I have a curiosity, what will happen to the language while addressing the king? I do not think it will be same BAKSYO type. Was this constitutionally directed to use that kind of words? If so even it has to be changed of course the media must start using as we do to the common day to day language with any other fellow Nepali.

Umesh Ji,
jana andolan_II makes king to down to earth. But why maobadi is not stopping abduction and extortion of money from the people. I listen the interview of baburam bhattarai. But he seems arrogant and does not think what 2 crores nepali wants ( i leave 50 lakhs who may wants total communism).
If maobadi does not change their stance i think we should start jana andolan -III to make these maoist democratic.

yep, it is really good news that goverment took initiatives to change the name from “His majesty of goverment” to “Nepal goverment”. No doubt, the word “royal” has to be replaced by word “Public”.
