आज बिहान नौ बजे इन्द्रध्वजसहितको लिङ्गो गाडेपछि काठमाडौंमा इन्द्रजात्राको अौपचारिक सुरुवात भएको छ। यसपालि तिथिको गडबडीका कारण पहिले जस्तो आठ दिन नभई सात दिनमात्र इन्द्रजात्रा मनाइँदैछ। आज यःसिँ (लिङ्गो) गाड्ने कार्य सकिएपछि परम्परागत रुपमा नै नेपाली सेनाको ब्यान्डले पुरानै राष्ट्रिय गान श्रीमान् गम्भीर नेपाली बजाएको थियो। राजाको प्रतिकका रुपमा दरबारबाट ल्याइएको खड्गलाई शाही सलामीसमेत परम्परागत रुपमा नै अर्पण गरिएको थियो।
लिङ्गो ठड्याउने समारोह हेर्नका लागि बिहानै हनुमानढोका पुगेको थिएँ। जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय अगाडि यो लिङ्गो गाडिएको थियो। लिङ्गोको टुप्पोमा इन्द्रको ध्वज रहने गर्दछ।
सयौंले मिलेर डोरी तान्दै लिङ्गो ठड्याएपछि पृथ्वीनारायण शाहको सेनाको प्रतीकका रुपमा रहेको हनुमानढोकामा मात्र बस्ने कालो र सेतो पहिरन लगाउने परम्परागत सेना ‘गुर्जुको पल्टन’ ले दरबारबाट ल्याइएको खड्गलाई शाही सलामी अर्पण गरेका थिए। त्यसअघि उनीहरुले लिङ्गोलाई तीन पटक घुमेका थिए। शाही सलामीसँगै नजिकै बसेको नेपाली सेनाको ब्यान्डले श्रीमान् गम्भीर नेपालीको धून बजाएको थियो।
सलामी दिँदै गोर्खाली सैनिकको प्रतिक।
यो धून वास्तवमा पहिलेदेखि नै सलामी दिनमा नै प्रयोग हुने धून नै रहेको र पछि त्यही धूनमा श्रीमान गम्भीरको शब्द भरेर राष्ट्रिय गान बनाइएको भन्ने सुनिएको छ।
इन्द्रजात्रा लिच्छवि कालदेखि नै मनाइँदै आएको भए पनि लिङ्गो ठड्याउने परम्परा भने पृथ्वीनारायण शाहका छोरा प्रताप शाहले आफना छोरा जन्मिएपछि चलाउन लगाएको भनिन्छ।

i always had a doubt in my mind about the implementation factor of the government policies. this time also the implementation factor was not so strong. so not only is it the case with the national anthem, there are also some government offices that has still the hoardings of the HMG. i had seen it at the police station in kamalpokhari at the room beside the jail at the map. so government has to make and announce such policies that they can implement. otherwise there is no meaning in just making policies.

I agree fully with the above bloggers. We have to identify our major weakness, blaming someone else. When are we going to ignore these nonsences and move forward in creating proper democracy in Nepal? This focus and blaming the king has become a side track for SPA to face the truth: the other muderer’s attack on our country.

I fully agree with KS and Raj. Why don’t most of us just realize that we are Nepalese because Shah dynasty did something for Nepal. More or less, but they have done something to protect the sovereignity . Its not koirala, dueba, bhattarai,Dahal or Mahara dynasty were the cuases of formation of Nepal.
Now the King has practically handed over all the power to the present great leaders in the history of Nepal. Now friends, shouldn’t we just stop nagging over the by-gone stuff and come up with some constructive ideas for the development of our Nepal?

Ram Lal ji who kill Birendra is not important for Nepali you and me. We need peace.How many people killed by Maoist. It is very hard to say who are murderers.Country is toward civil war Maoist are ready in Kami Dada for another war. Do you want civil war? No country wants Maobadi to run country like another form of Dictetorship. Monarchy is not a individual thing it does not matter Gyanendra or Paras. We look as an institution of monarchy to unite people.Now parliament can control heir to thrown.
Do you thing Girija, MAkune, Deuba and Prachanda are better than Gyanendra. I can not say Paras is better , but all are same.
We all should remember that when Gyanendra seize power from Deuba majority of Nepali were happy due to SPA action. Therefore all are EUTAI DYAG KA MULA HUN.
Therfore we want king, SPA and Maoist work together bring the country in stable condition. If we choose one or other, it is a start of civil war.

We are heading like “KAM KUMLO EKATIRA BATO LAGAU THIMI TIRA”
Is Nepal’s problem is only the KING, it is NOT. As all power are taken from the King means nothing to do with the King any more.The King has clearly said that his power is given to the people.Now time to fix the real problem/Maoist problem and make peace in the country. As SPA have not able to control Maoist therefore they are after the KING doing this and that.The country was in dire situtation only 4 years ago whlile leaerds were fighting for the power. Gyanendra came only than. What did SPA did in last last 12 years before Ggyanendra came to power.
I can not believe that Country will be better off with out the King. A ceremonial King is better for country unity as head of state is not belongs to any particular party. SPA and Maoist are seem to be fighting like a dog for the power. Yet maoist do not want to disarm indincating that they will rule by the gun not by the ballot.
We all need to press SPA and Maoist to make peace inthe country.

I think instead of making unnecessary comments on culkture (Except national Song, we should put our effort to modernisation our culture. Other countries are doing same and quite fruitful in attracting tourist.
Scotland every year organise summer festival and host more than millions of tourist.

In fact the music was prepared first. Famous mucisian Mr. Budapirthi had arranged it. Later, poet Chakrapani Chalise prepared words for the music.
So using this tune in “salami” should not be taken negatively. The music should be understood without the words because it is older and independent.
Though the song may seem irrelevant with new context, the anthem (music) should be victimized.
