राजालाई कारबाही !
संभव छ ?
छ/ छैन/ थाहा छैन
जवाफ जस्तोसुकै होस्, जनआन्दोलन दमनसम्बन्धी छानबिन गर्न गठित उच्चस्तरीय रायमाझी आयोगले राजालाई कारबाही गर्ने सिफारिस गरेको छ। आयोगले बयान नदिने राजालाई केही गर्न सकेन। अब के सरकारले आफैद्वारा गठित आयोग सिफारिस कार्यान्वयन गर्ला ?
अहँ, मलाई त विश्वास लागेन बा ! देखिएकै थियो नि, सुरुमा नै सबै सुरक्षा प्रमुखहरुलाई निलम्बन गर्न दिएको सुझाव प्रधानसेनापतिको हकमा कार्यान्वयन नभएको। अब यो सिफारिस पनि त्यही हालतमा पुग्ने त होला नि। त्यसो भए किन यो आयोग मल्लिक आयोग जस्तो हुँदैन भनेर गफ छाँट्नु परेको त ? कुन्नि कुन्नि !
आयोगले महिनौं लगाएर गरेको छानबिनको प्रतिवेदन यही हप्ता प्रधानमन्त्री गिरिजाप्रसाद कोइरालालाई बुझाउँदैछ। नम्बर एक त १४०० पेजको यो प्रतिवेदन नै जस्ताको तस्तै सार्वजनिक हुँदैन होला। त्यसमा आन्दोलन दमन गर्न दोषी भएको ठहर गर्दै राजासहित १७० जनालाई कारबाही गर्नुपर्ने सिफारिसको कार्यान्वयनको कुरा त परै जाअोस्।
अब त सरकार र संसदमा माअोवादी पनि जान लागेको छ। के माअोवादीले यो आयोगको सिफारिस अनुसार राजालाई कारबाही गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने बारेमा केही अडान लेला त ? सेरेमोनियल राजा चाहिने र अहिले संयमित हुनुपर्ने धारणा राख्ने गिरिजाप्रसाद कोइरालालाई ‘गुरु’ थापेर सत्तामा जान लागेका माअोवादीले पनि यस विषयमा केही गर्लान् जस्तो मलाई त लाग्दैन बा !
त्यसो भए प्रतिवेदनको भविष्य ? एउटा अँध्यारो कोठामा थन्किनु।
कि गर्छन् कारबाही ? कारबाही त अन्तरिम संसदले गर्ने भनिएको छ। कानुन नभए कानुन बनाएरै कारबाही गर्न सुझाव दिइएको छ रे त्यसमा। आँट होला त यिनीहरुको राजालाई कारबाही गर्ने ?

First time in the history of Nepal, someone has recommended formally to take an action against the king. No matter how long the process will take, this is one of the greatest achievement of the democratic movement. If the government is able to compell the king to defend from his side, I would think this is the victory of public movement against the suppression. God bless Nepal.

SPA + Moaist >>> SPAM should have the guts to form a Truth Commission and that comission should have the right to investiagate all those who were responsible for responsibilities of thousands of innocent people who were killed in the front line in safe guarding the nations, innocent who were brutally murdered. Does GPK,MKN,SBD, Prachanda & Moaist have the gutts to form such commission and face the truth. All these persons are responsible to bring nepal to this stage.
Not only 31 people killed during andolaan, but all those who died within these 14 yrs shoyuld get a fair share of their bravery and those who are totally disabled and now living a vegetable life in various hospital.
I doubt those murderer like Prachanda, baburam have these gutts, as live alife of zero tolerance, just like they killed the President of Displaced person, just because he burnt the effigy of Prachanda. These murderer are only ass gutts because of the arms they possess, minus that they are living dead.
Lest first have a fair trail from the people who are directly responsible for the loss of 14 thousands innocent peole.

We have been eyewitnessing for long time we have lack of implimentation of anything comes out from government. I have no hope if that will happen in this time as well. Leaders are same only few new faces but with Nepali blood are going to include in the government. We can’t comment anything until they get in power.
On the other hand, when our leaders withdraw aananolan-2 after King reinstate parliament they had a grand design what is meant only Girija knows had happened. It was not peoples victory it was the victory of maoists. Because maoists were the ones who force the people to take part in the demonstrations. SPAs were power hungry group of people honestly not all like bijukhe is pure (farmers party) leader I have not found a single time he has been fighting for power even after successful of the second aanandolan he did not even ask for the power. He is really ideal politician. If we look at other parties they were fighting in between to get influential ministerial posts. This shows that they (leaders) are not honest to the people I doubt if they spend their time for how to make Nepal developed. They don’t bother themsleves.
Redarding the punishment to King is itself a ridiculous since that situation was created by political parties, splitting party into two or three or more for personal ego to fulfill how can they claim they are democratic. Its only theoretical illusion I think. What king had done nothing he did what he supposed to do during his tenured. Girija also killed many people during demonstartion I don’t exactly remember when did that happen but I clearly have image what he did in the past. If you ask me whether king should be punished, I would say no. Because its the duty of the state head to protect people, he tried to propect but it was too heavy for him and could not do it. Therefore, forget about the past put hands to hands for the prosperous Nepal ahead.
We will wait and see who comes first in the race development or crimes or chaos.

i am suprised with the comments from the people that they are expecting some legal actions against king. is it necessery? i think this is not necessary because he is already punished for his past works. i mean people are expecting that the new interim SAMSAD will make some act to punish the king. for punishing him, making law is not good but law should be made in such a way that no future country head will repeat the same mistake. i am using the word country head because we r in the process of having no monarchy.
he is already punished. so it is the matter of pride that RAYAMAJI AAYOG is corageous enough that it doesnt repeat the attribute of the MALLIK.

Looking at the political maneuvering by different parties and action taken by SPA Government so far prosecution of the King is next to impossible. Government has so far failed to indict or bring any one to justice. No actions have been taken so far against the police, army or the administration who were behind the suppressing the Janandolan. Instead the SPA Government has given ample opportunities to the culprits to slip away. Girija’s stand for the King paved the way for the repressive elements to come out from hiding and raise their voice. Recent management take over of the Bangladesh Bank by Nepal Rashtra Bank and not making investigation against NB group clearly indicates that the SPA Government is in no mood to take any action against the King or anyone who were involved in helping the repressive Monarchy or those who had looted the people of Nepal.

Umesh ji, thanks for throwing this issue to us. I think all the people demand action against the supressors ( no matter who it is). If Saddam can be executed why not Gyane? Copmpared to Saddam Gyane has commited more crime. If the leaders boast of bringing the king under the law, they should penalise him or they should forward this case to international court of justice.
Perhaps, they are scared because one day they will also be punished by the people.

** Who will Bell the Cat ! **
It has become the case of, “Who can bell the Cat”.
Right from the beginning every Nepali knows that Raymajhi’s commission was just another Kangaroo court to pacify the public. It was not powerful enough to interrogate the king at its office but passively sent questionnaires to the king. His report on the atrocities committed to suppress Janandolan II must have indicated the king as responsible person for excesses and atrocities of Janandolan II but who can take the action on the king ? The report is just a white wash and it will remain as a museum piece only.
I believe the king will neither relinquish his authority nor abdicate his throne. He must have been looking for his position in new constitution (adopted after the election of CA) and as long as it is not secured, he will carry out any action. He still got supporters and also all means (money, weapons) and trusted loyal army (RA). He must be calculating the best time to strike back. He will certainly take drastic action to save his throne.
The Peace Talks failed to take a decisive action to abolish the monarchy institution and it has deceived the people’s aspiration of Janandolan II. The Prime Minister has already indicated his preference for the ceremonial monarchy which Maoists failed to show strong objection. I believe, Maoists in the interim government will not be powerful enough to implement recommendation of Raymajhi’s reports.

Yo sab samkarman kaal ko katha ho. What I believe is politics of Nepal is still very fluid. Many of us have reached in a conclusion that that Monarchy is bad in Nepal and King is useless in Nepal.

The question posted here has no meaning. Nepal and her people have witness that the brutal act of Maoists have been forgiven because we wanted peace. In past, Deuba (chiefly) and successive government were responsible for creating maoists (because at that time they were defending for themselves). Maoists revolotion too contributed to several killings (even unarmed people brutally). Eg. Madi and chief of Police. We have forgotten the past for the sake of future generation and future Nepal. The King at that time did mistakes – no doubt about it. What form of “karbahi” are we looking for him ? Are we bold enough to prosecute Baburam and Prachanda – NO. Why, because we want peace. And therefore, everybody should be pardoned if he or she is willing to contribute to peacse and prosperity of Nation. There is no meaning in getting after King. The Monarch is down to his knees and should be given a chance to contribute to better Nepal. All he did was to see how Nepal is responding to his rule. He checked that for a month and finally understood that Nepal wants change and he complied with the aspiraitons of people and we got a “successful” peace accord with Maosit after JanaAndolan 2.
Several act of brutal use of force have been experienced in past. Believe it or not, streets of Kathmandu was warm when Com. Madan Bhandari died. God knows if that was an accident or murder. But then, UML pointed Nepal Congress (and Girija – then primeminister) for killing of Madan Bhandari. Now, do you want to prosecute Girija for using force at that movement ? Well to run a government, use of force is required – one way or other and its considered fair in political movement. The people (maoist victics) were brutally forced to get away form Singhadurbar during their protest to current government. Do you want to prosecute current government for using police in that movement ?
