अन्तरिम विधान चाँडो लागू गर्नु पर्यो भन्ने माग राख्दै प्रधानमन्त्री निवास, बालुवाटार घेर्न गएका नागरिक समाजका सदस्यहरुलाई प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरी खोरमा थुन्न लगेका छन्। बिहानैदेखि कहिले जनआन्दोलनका घाइतेहरु र कहिले नागरिक समाजका सदस्यहरुले बालुवाटार घेर्न आएकाले ‘टेन्सन’ भएर त्यसरी नागरिक समाजका कम्तीमा ६३ जना सदस्यलाई हिरासतमा लिइएको हो कि किन गरिएको हो, त्यो भने थाहा भएन। नभए पहिला पनि यस्ता धर्ना त हुँदै आएका नै थिए त।
आज म त्यहाँ जान्छु भनेर सोचिरहेको थिएँ तर हिजो राति फोन गरेर एक जनाले ठीक त्यही समयमा कमलादीमा बोलाएका कारण जान पाइनँ।
गिरफ्तार हुनेहरुमा नागरिक समाजका अगुवा डा. देवेन्द्रराज पाण्डे, पत्रकार महासंघका सभापति विष्णु निष्ठुरी, श्याम श्रेष्ठ, ‘आलोचना शिरोमणि’ खगेन्द्र संग्रौला, कवि बुद्ध सायमि आदि रहेका छन्।
अन्तरिम विधान छिटो जारी गर्नु पर्ने र संविधान सभाको निर्वाचनको तिथि घोषणा गर्नुपर्ने माग अवैध रहेछ कि के हो ? नभए किन हिरासतमा लिनुपरेको होला ? पहिले पनि त्यहाँ विरोध प्रदर्शन नभएको भए पो एउटा कुरा। आज त १ बजे धर्ना बस्न के लागेका थिए, झ्यापझुप पारिहालेछन्। ब्यानरहरु च्यातचुत पारिदिएछन्। प्रहरीले दुर्व्यवहार गरेको पनि उनीहरुले बताएका छन्।
लोकतान्त्रिक सरकारको स्थापनापछि पहिलो पटक नागरिक समाजका कार्यक्रम माथि हस्तक्षेप गरेकोमा सरकारलाई बधाई दिन मन लागेको छ- बधाई छ !

This time maoists seems using civil society to pressure their demands to be in government without arm managment which will have big effect in CA election to threaten people for their advantage and so on. Nagarik samaj should be working more independently and without biasness for greater interest of nation. Of course police actuon is deplorable as in democracy all have right to do peaceful protest and demonstration but is this nagarik samaj is not biased? It is Ok to pressurize government but they also should pressurize maoists not to impede necessary thing that can remove doubt in common people’s mind and ehart that they won’t be polpot and they should ask with maoists why they are not changing in grass root level. It is not question of arm managment alone but their cadres’ action which definitely will have effect. One comment today read in BBC nepali program is accurate that if SPA conducts polls in present situation without establishing ppolice post and VDC activities a and complete free movement of all political parties in villages, it will be suicidal to SPA and liberal politics. Why civial society donot see that danger. Do they think NC and liberals can be pulled down like that. How can they assure that maoists will not miliatrirly take over if government of nepal remains weak? You can see sitaula was hero till yesterday and today he becomes villain. except Dr Pandey, who are democratic civil society member today taking part? Most of them have extreme left philosophy and we can not expect from them liberal democracy with invidual rights. Can they erase my this douybt? But police today did wrong by arresting them.
Perhaps it is somebody who wants to discredit Mr Sitauala and PM did it without their knowledge as Sitaula has said. Beware of such dirty politics.
I donot see anytime civil society memember putting pressure to maoists to change their behaviour and return property of nonmaoists people which they have captured at local levels.

Reading your news made me too much sadness. I was thinking Girija Baaje has improved his image, but he is still a BHAT of Gyane. That’s why time to time people should give him some pressure,otherwise he will easily forget the mandate of people. Regarding today’s case, if Minister for Home has not given that order to the security force, who has this power? Either with GYANENDRA OR SECURITY FORCE? If the order is given by the government, then the Minister for Home shold apologize with people commetting not to repeat this kind of fault again in the future, otherwise, the government must find and punish the culprits as soon as possible.

First of all happy New Year Nepal Sarkar! I was not expecting such a shameful news in the first day of year 2007. As we know this sarkar as a powerful coalition govt established in the base of April uprising(half revolution) and mandated by sovern peoples of Nepal. Then now we have started to arrest the civil society leaders and journalists! Shame on you!!
It is not difficult to understand the inner motives of fundamentalists and their approches one after another, it is not coincident but it is a prelimenary conspiracy against the dream of Loktantrik Ganatantra Nepal and their advocates. Koirala, Oli and company(a fundamental group of ceremonial monarchy)are trying to supress by different act and attemps. We got to be very aware with this types of politicians.

Those who are still not familiar with Girija and his coterie must have surprised,but I am not. Actually, Girija has never been in favour of complete democracy without monarchy.His optimum demand is the ‘constitutional monarchy’ not more than that. His surreptitious nexus with the royalists is an open secret to all Nepalese. He knows well that if the constitution assembly election is held in time, the decandent monarchy is going to be rooted out for certain. So he seems hell-bent to obviate the promulgation of the interim constitution and the CA election. In this senario, the Civic Society has become his number one enemy, because, it has been pressing the government time and again to holding the CA election in due date and time. The othere thing that the Civic Society has been doing is awakening the people from city to the village about the people’s rights and the they are also teaching people to dream a new Nepal without tyrant monarchy. In this way, the Civic Socity has proved the pain in the neck for Girija. So, shouldn’t they deserve the lathi and kicks for their ‘crime’? Well done Girija babu, keep it up.

The govt. must apologize. I’ve heard that the our GRIHA MANTRI said he wasn’t aware of the situation. If he wasn’t, who ordered for the arrest? Whatever the reason, the struggle must go on and we must back up NAGARIK ANDOLAN.
If we can, let’s make it to SinghaDurbar tomorrow at 1 PM to show solidarity and to support another DHARNA to request the govt. to implement interim constitution.
