तराईमा तनाव बढेपछि उपेन्द्र यादव एकाएक चर्चामा आएका छन्। उनको मधेशी जनअधिकार फोरम, सशस्त्र तथा भूमिगत पार्टी जनतान्त्रिक तराई मुक्ति मोर्चाको गोइत र ज्वाला सिंह समूहभन्दा बढी छाएको छ। को हुन् त उपेन्द्र यादव ? आउनुस्, बुझौँ।
उपेन्द्र यादव सुरुमा नेकपा मार्क्सवादीका कार्यकर्ता थिए। माले-मार्क्सवादीबीच एकता भएर एमाले पार्टी बनेपछि ०४८ को संसदीय निर्वाचनमा उनी सुनसरीमा एमालेको उम्मेदवार भई उठेका थिए। तर उनी त्यस निर्वाचनमा विजय गच्छेदारसँग पराजित भएका थिए ।
मधेशसम्बन्धी एमालेको नीतिबाट असन्तुष्ट भई उनले मधेशको सम्बन्धमा बौद्धिक अध्ययन गर्ने संस्थाको रुपमा अर्को शब्दमा एनजीअोको रुपमा ०५४ मा उनले मधेश जनअधिकार फोरम स्थापना गरेका थिए। पछि उनी माओवादीसँग नजिकिन पुगे।
तर, दिल्लीमा मातृका यादव र सुरेश आले मगरसँगै उनी गिरफ्तार भए। मातृका र सुरेशलाई भारत सरकारले नेपाल सुपुर्दगी गरे पनि उनलाई भने रिहा गरियो। त्यसपछि माओवादीले शंकाकै आधारमा भौतिक कारबाहीको निर्णय गरेको भन्दै माओवादीबाट टाढिएका थिए। उनी सोझा र इमान्दार मधेशी कार्यकर्ताको रुपमा चिनिन्थे। तर, उनको सोझोपनको फाइदा नेपालमा विभिन्न दङ्गा, तोडफोड मच्चाएर राजतन्त्रलाई बलियो बनाउन चाहनेहरुले खोजेका त होइनन् – भन्ने आशंका उब्जन पुगेको छ । किनभने, आफू राष्ट्रिय एकताको प्रतीक भएको बताउ“दै अहिलेसम्म शासन गर्दै आएको राजतन्त्र यतिबेला यस्तै साम्प्रदायिक दङ्गाहरु फैलाएर आफ्नो आयु लम्ब्याउन चाहन्छ । मधेशमा हुने यस्ता तोडफोड, हुलदङ्गा र साम्प्रदायिक दङ्गाहरुले राष्ट्रिय एकता कायम गर्न राजतन्त्रको आवश्यकता छ भन्नेहरुको तर्कलाई सघाउ पुर्याउँछ ।
तराईका अर्का विद्रोही नेता जयकृष्ण गोइत। उनको जनतान्त्रिक तराई मुक्ति मोर्चा सशस्त्र संघर्षमा छ। यो पनि माअोवादीबाट फुटेको समूह हो। गोइतबाट पनि फुटेको समूह ज्वाला सिंहको नाममा सशस्त्र संघर्षमा छ।
तोडफोडहरु फोरमका नाममा भए पनि त्यसमा राजावादीहरुदेखि लिएर जनतान्त्रिकसम्मको हात रहेको आशङ्का गरिएको छ । फोरमनिकट मानिने मधेशी विद्यार्थी फ्रन्टले समेत मधेशको पूर्वी भागमा भएका यी तोडफोडहरुमा घुसपैठ भएको भन्दै सार्वजनिक विज्ञप्ति दिइसकेको छ। बारामा एक जनाको ज्यान जाने गरी भएको झडपमा समेत घुसपैठका कारण भीड अनियन्त्रित भएको भनी फोरम कै जिल्ला नेताहरुले बताएका छन्।
लोकतन्त्रको पुनर्बहालीभन्दा केही अघिदेखि अध्यक्ष उपेन्द्रको भारतको राष्ट्रिय स्वयंसेवक संघस“ग सम्बन्ध रहेको छ । लोकतन्त्र पुनर्बहालीलगत्तै नेपाल आउनुअघि भएको फोरम केन्द्रीय समितिको एउटा बैठकका लागि खाने, बस्ने, सुत्नेलगायतको सम्पूर्ण व्यवस्था राष्ट्रिय स्वयंसेवक संघले पट्नास्थित आफ्नो कार्यालयमा मिलाइदिएको थियो । राष्ट्रिय स्वयंसेवक संघलाई भारतीय जनता पार्टी, शिवसेना, बजरङ्ग दलजस्ता भारतका कट्टरतावादी हिन्दूहरुको छाता संगठनको रुपमा लिइन्छ । भारतीय जनता पार्टी अध्यक्ष लालकृष्ण आड्वाणीसमेत संघद्वारा भाजपालाई मजबुत बनाउन पठाइएका नेता हुन् ।
उपेन्द्र र सो कट्टर भारतीय हिन्दूहरुबीच सम्बन्ध रहेको कुराको खुलासा त्यतिबेला हुन पुग्यो, जब गत १९ डिसेम्बर -पुस ५ गते) गोरखपुरमा सो संघका सह-सरकार्यवाह (उपप्रमुख) सुरेश सोनी प्रमुख अतिथि रहेको कार्यक्रममा उनी अतिथिको रुपमा उपस्थित भए र नेपाललाई पुनः हिन्दू राष्ट्रको रुपमा स्थापित गर्न ‘हिन्दूत्वको संकल्पना’ गर्नुपर्ने अभिव्यक्ति दिए । हिन्दूस्तान दैनिकको लखनउ संस्करणको २० डिसेम्बरको अंकमा उपेन्द्रको भाषण उल्लेख गर्दै लेखिएको छ- ‘मधेशी जनअधिकार फोरमके केन्द्रीय अध्यक्ष उपेन्द्र यादव ने कहा कि विना हिन्दूत्वके संकल्पना के नेपालमे पुनः हिन्दू राष्ट्रकी स्थापना नहीं हो सकती ।’ राष्ट्रिय स्वयंसेवक संघका उपप्रमुख सोनीलाई प्रमुख अतिथि बनाएर ‘नेपाल-भारत सीमा क्षेत्र हिन्दू संस्कृति सङ्गम’ विषयक सो कार्यक्रममा राजाको माघ १९ को कदमलाई र्समर्थन गरेको नेपाल सद्भावना पार्टी अध्यक्ष लक्ष्मणलाल कर्ण् माघ २६ को चुनावमा विराटनगर उपमहानगरपालिकामा सो पार्टी तर्फबाट उम्मेदवारी दिएका दिलिप धाडेवा आदि पनि उपस्थित भएका थिए । धाडेवा र कर्णलाई पनि अतिथिको रुपमा मञ्चमा राखिएको थियो। (स्रोत)

Darwin’s theory – Struggle for Survival, this struggle is for existence for FOOD not for human rights as claimed by the maoist, parties & human rights rganisations,civil society . Human need food,shelter,clothing. Ask any maoist cadres whose child have been borned lately, do they still believe in the principle of communism & dedication OR they want a future security to survive for their child. Parents sacrifice their lives for their children NOT for any individual leader. Therefore all nepalese should unite for a democratic system.

One thing is certain, both Girija and Prachanda are corrupt and undemocratic politicians who want to make deals to rule whole Nepal sidelining almost half the population of Nepal. Decades of humiliation and insults aside, Madhesi’s deserve equal rights and if these leaders use Madhesi’s as puppet for their political lusts, it is time for them to face up the consequeces of their deeds. Time is running out for these incompetent leaders and soon they will be sidelined and left with barren mountains. Time is gone when Girija can win election from terai region and use terai as a secure refuge.

Hindi language is common mode of communication among people of different placesin terai.for example……..people of birgung speak bhojpuri mostly and people of janakpur speak maithali mostly.hence the people of janakpur and people birjung communicate among themselves in hindi language……..

The people’s voice in the Terai is logical and this is the result of the Stubbornness of Girija to Keep Ceremonial King. If the Interim Constitution was designed as demanded by Maoists and UML, this problem would not surface now. Girija and a few others were scared to give right to the Madhesi people because they feel the are the kings in the Terai. Now madhesis have expressed their true voice. BUT BUT BUT they should be very careful not to be puppets of the King’s Grand design to destablish Nepal. Be aware of Badri Mandal and some other Royalists ( Like Upendra yadav).
I suggest all the 8 party leaders from the teari should get involved in this movement and drive it to the positive and peaceful direction so that the Roylist will be exposed!!!

You sre right. We should decide ourself our fate. BUT- are you aware that some of top leaders from different parties (NC, UML, Nc-D, Maoist….)are in Delhi to discuss on this issue, although they have said that they are joining Gandhi’s program.
Prachanda is now busy in convincing India that “we are your asli chela”, No need to say abt other parties and their leaders. BUT, be sure, Madhesi donot have to do anything such. Yeh, they have realised very lately who they are and why they are suppresed withing their own country.
Be critical and realistic man.

If guys want to know more about Upendra Yadav, he used to be Secondary level Science teacher at Jaycess Bal Sadan school (Biratnagar-17). He was a good teacher and a good guy. I am just surprised to see this guy leading Madhesi extremist group.
He was involved in poltics for long time and suddenly disappeard few years before.

It’s funny that BJP wants nepal to be Hindu Country! why should they bother? If they like they make their country a Hindu country. If they need King, take Gyanendra or Paras or whatever and make the king of India. We don’t care. But let Nepali people decide what is better for us.
We all are talking about religion, community and so but the real problem is the access to power and money. If you don’t have both you will suffer even if man from your religion or community is in power. A poor braman from KTM, a poor Jha from Janakpur, a poor Musahar from Siraha, a poor rai from Dharan will have the same fate if the country or its administration is run in the name of religion or community.
There is no denying that the country must be divided into different administrative units and that can be done in different ways. But the guiding principle of the country should not be religion or the community but fairness and equal opportunity and protection from the state.
I like to say again that if we have many countries( one of madhesi only, other for chaudhary only, other for Rai only, ohter for Magar only etc etc) the problem will just be there. People will ask for a country for Hindu, ohter will ask for Muslim, other will ask for other religion.. This will go on.
Let’s go to the root of the problem and solve it togher for the benefit and welfare of the masses not a handful of people.
Power, money, food, music,knowledge,job water, air has no religion, no community. If we can share them why not share a country, society and remove them(culprits) who try to have big share on them. If we fight we will loose chance to for betterment because if we are divided there will always be someone who rules us.

आपके विचारोंको देखकर मुझे आपपर तरस आ रहा है । भारत और नेपालके सामाजिक , साँस्कृतिक , आर्थिक सम्बन्धमें काफी समानता है , हमें इसबात पर भारतके साथ और सहयोग लेकर हि चलना चाहिए वो तो सब नेपाली समझते है लेकिन नेपालके राजनैतिक मामिलों पर भारत जिस तहर से हस्तक्षेप करता है वो नहि करना चाहिए । जैसे कि नेपालके मधेशी भाईको अपना हिसाब से अपने अधिकारों पर लड्ना चाहिए , आपको पता होना चाहिए कि भारतने नेपाल से अपने देशके लिए राजदुत किसको चुनलिया और किस हद तक नेपाल सरकारको उसके लिए दवाब डाला । अगर भारत सचमुचमें नेपालके मधेशी भाईयोंको आगे देखना चाहता तो मधेशी भाईयों में से हि एकको क्यों राजदुतके लिए नहिँ मांगा? भारत कितने सालसे अपने आपको दुनियाँके सबसे बडा लोकतान्त्रीक मुल्क मानता है लेकिन भारत ने कब और कैसे नेपाली भाषाको राष्ट्र भाषाके सुचिमें रखा ये तो आपको पता हि होगा और आजतक भारतमें अपने पहचानके लिए लडरहे नेपालीयोंको लैण्ड नहिं दिया है गोर्खा लैण्डकि मांग के बारेमें आप ने सुना हि होगा । अरे जादब जी नेपाल ने तो अभि भि तानाशाही से पुरी तरह मुक्ती नहिं पाया , हम सब मिलकर नेपालको गणतान्त्रीक मुल्क बनाना चाहिए और उसके बाद मिलकर हि हम सब आगे बढसकेंगे । मगर समस्त मधेशी भाईको आगे बढाना हो तो जिसके कारण आजतक मधेशीभाई को अनागरिक कि तरह बर्ताब भुगतना पडा उसीको साथ नहिं देना चाहिए और ना हि इस कदर भारतको तरफदारी करना चाहिए । भारतके साथ हमारा देशके सम्बन्ध में रहे घनिष्ठताके मतलब ये तो नहिं कि जब भि नेपालके राजनैतिक निर्णय दिल्ली से हि हो जाए ।

I think the issue raised in Terai is a just one. Very much valid. The democracy is for everyone. The Maoists cunning leaders almost went to the power simply by dropping many points for which they started the movement. One of them is federalism. But Maoists became now highly unsuccessful, becasue Terai friends have picked up the point which Maoists dropped for their vested interest. In reality Maoists movement was not a real one at all… it was a fake one. But Terai bashis are now on the right track… Please do not shout that India is inciting Terai.. Everyone in politics of Nepal are incited and guided by India. So this is not a point to discuss.
Empty handed Tribhuvan who ran way from Nepal, brought back democracry to Nepal? Yeah, you’re right. Since the day He returned to Nepal, India has been ruling Nepal. All nepalese kings and leaders since then were simply the pawns of India running state daily businesses since 2007.

I read some of the comments supporing the movement of terai above. Its is crystal clear that the movement is genuine, but can this person seen above (called as Upendra yadab) takes responsibility of the vandalism and the loss of national property of the country. I am sure that this work is done by indian extremist and I don’t think he has such number of goondas in all the terai working for this NGO(TERAI JANADHIKAR FORUM), formed to receive money from BJP for his personal benefits. Lastly his participation in the Gorakhpur program proves that he is also receiving money from king gyanendra to save him.

अत: नेपालकी वर्तमान स्थितिको देखते हुए, तराईवासी उपर हो रहे अत्याचार और हिन्दु धर्मकि उपर मिसनरियोँका जो योजनावद्द ढंगसे रचा हुआ प्रहार है , उसके विरुद्द लड्नेके लिए अगर कोही भारतीय मित्र हात बढाके सहयोग देतेँ है तो ये सहयोग लेनेमे कोही हर्ज नहि है । आजतक सहयोग लेने और देनेका ये सिलसिला चलता ही रहा है । उपेन्द्रजी , नेपाल भारत कि सांस्कृतिक, धार्मिक और भावनात्मक सम्बन्धके मद्यनजर आप जो ठीक समझकर करेंगे उसमे समस्त हिन्दू और तराइवासियोँका साथ रहेगा ।

It would be great if you bring out most promising models for federal governance. I think a model based on watershed will be the best in terms of economic prosperity, equity and sustainability of the natural resource.

Umeshji you have really exposed the identity of person who is trying to create rift between the Madhesis and the Pahadis. How can he fight for the cause of the Madhesis when he himself is a Raja Bhakta which is clear from his attendance of the Gorakhpur Meeting where all supported the reinstallation of the King and make Nepal a Hindu Rajya. Maoists are the first person to teach voilence in nepal. And now every body knows that it will never end it will be like Ruwands. To come over it first all nepalese must be literate enough to select the wright path. And more than half of the person are illetrate.
Why don’t the maoist and the king talk each other. They adapted the same thing as the Maoists has adopted coz. if some one easily get to be in the position to rule just by making voilence why not now tarai people and the king.
Its obvious from the scenario and the wrong steps that dwells in the voilence.

मेरो बिचारमापनि उपेन्द्र यादव यो आन्दोलनमा फसे जस्तै छ । अब त उपेन्द्र यादब वार्तामा जादैमा र उनको संगठनले उठाको माग पुरा हुदैमा यो हुलदंगा रोकिने छाट छैन । उनको आन्दोलनभित्र मजाले घुसपैठ भैसक्यो । यो घुसपैठले गर्दा मुलुकमा प्रति क्रान्ति होलाजस्तो पो छ ।
फ्रान्समापनि राजा फाल्ने समयमा यस्तै प्रतिक्रान्ति भयो जसले गर्दा झन्डै निर्दोष ६० हजारले ज्यान गुमाए । नेपालमापनि राजा फालेको भए यो दिन आउने थिएन । नेताहरुले गनाको राजतन्त्र राख्छु भन्दा यस्तो भको हो । यसले गर्दा अझै कति मान्छे मारिने हुन् र कतिको सम्पत्ती स्वाहा हुने हो थाह छैन । जनआन्दोलनका क्रममा सार्वजनिक या व्यक्तिगत सम्पत्तीको सानो अंशपनि स्वाहा नभएकोमा बिश्वभरीका संचार माध्यमहरुले प्रसंसा गरेका थिए र नेपाली जनता राजनीतिक चेतनाले भरिपूर्ण मान्छेहरु भएको टिप्पणी भएको थियो तर अहिलेको तथाकथित आन्दोलनकारीहरुले देशको बेइज्जतै गर्ने भए।
यिनीहरुका माग जायज छन् तर बिरोध प्रकटको शैली महाआतंककारी भयो । बरु यिनीहरुले शान्तिपूर्ण आन्दोलन चर्काको भए राम्रो हुनेथियो ।
एउटा नेपालीले अर्को नेपालीको संम्पत्ती स्वाहा पार्नु हुन्न भन्ने कुरा सबैले सोच्नुपर्छ । यो कुरा उपेन्द्र स्वयंले बुझेर उनका कार्यकर्ताहरुलाई संयमित र अनुसासित भएर प्रदर्शन गर्नकालागि प्रेरणा दिनुपर्छ । जबरजस्त आन्दोलन र हुलदंगाले अशान्ति मच्चाउंछ र सरकारपनि बाध्य भएर दमनमा उत्रनुपर्छ । त्यसैले उपेन्द्रलाई सल्लाह छ राजै चाहिएको हो भने सीधा माग ल्याउनुपर्यो होइन भने शान्तिपूर्ण आन्दोलन गर्न पर्यो । देश तपाइ हामी सबैको साझा हो । देश रहे तपाइ नेपाली म पनि नेपाली हाम्रा छरछिमेकपनि नेपाली । देशै नरहे केही भन्न सकिन्न। देश रहे बारंबार आन्दोलन गरौला उपेन्द्रजी । समय खेर गको छैन । जनतामा अथाहा राजनीतिक चेतना भरिएको छ । त्यसैले अनुरोध छ यति राम्रो राजनीतिक पृष्ठभूमी भएको मानिसले गल्ती स्विकारेर अगाडी आउनपर्यो । खराव मान्छेको संगतले तपाइले बाटो बिराएजस्तो लाग्यो ।

यसलाई भन्छन ” माछा परे दुलामा हात, भ्यागुता परे पाखामा हात” आन्दोलन को जस चाँही लिने, अनि नराम्रो कुरा जति घुसपैठ को हात , हाम्रो कार्यकर्ता हैन रे, क्या मज्जा हगि । पकड छैन आफ्नो भने बन्द गर यो रगतको होलि। बिचरा मर्ने त गरिब नै हुन्छ। यो त कुनै बिना कुनै लगाम , गर्दैजाउँ, हेर्दै जाऊँ के के पाईन्छ भनेर गरेको आन्दोलन जस्तो पो भयो त । के भयो र भएको तोडफोड को जिम्मेबारी लिनु पर्ने होईन , तिर्नु पर्ने होइन क्यारे । मान्छे मरेमा सरकारलाई दोष लगाएर क्षतिपुर्ति मागे भईहाल्छ। तर बहुलाएको बेलगाम घोडा चड्यो भने त्यहि घोडाले किचेर मार्छ है।

India has supported all these people. India is trying to bring Goet, Singh and all madhesis together. Why hw was released whereas Matrika and Alemagar was extradited? Who has given them ultra modern weapons? Why people are blaming King for all evils? India has not changed its election constituentices for 50 years and why they are demanding population based constituencies? India wants chaos in Nepal. All parties and even the king should come together and save the nation at this moment.
