प्रधानमन्त्रीले वार्ताका लागि आह्वान गर्दै देशवासीलाई सम्बोधन गरेपछि तराईको तनाव हट्ला भन्ने ठानेको त आज आएको एउटा समाचारले झन् डरलाग्दो हिंसातर्फ पो जान लागेको हो कि जस्तो देखियो। विराटनगरमा प्रदर्शनकारीहरुले एउटा प्रहरी चौकीमा आक्रमण गरी सब इन्सपेक्टरलाई मारी हतियार समेत लुटेर लगेछन्। यसबाट अब मधेशको आन्दोलनलाई अर्कै दिशातर्फ मोड्ने प्रयास हुन लागेको प्रष्ट छ। के मधेशीहरुले आफ्ना जायज माग पूरा गराउन हिंसाको क्रुर बाटो अपनाउनेहरुलाई रोक्न सक्लान् ? कि देश फेरि हिंसाको चक्रमा फँस्ने हो ?
प्रधानमन्त्रीको सम्बोधन ३ बजे भएको थियो। त्यसको साढे दुई घण्टापछि मधेशी जनअधिकार फोरमका सयौँ प्रदर्शनकारीहरु विराटनगरको बुद्धनगरमा रहेको प्रहरी चौकीमा आक्रमण गर्न गएछन्। त्यहाँ चौकीका इञ्चार्ज नरेशजङ्ग कार्कीलाई घिसारेर बाहिर ल्याई कुटेर मारेछन्। भिडन्तको क्रममा सनानन्द यादव पनि मारिएछन्। प्रहरीको दुई वटा राइफल र एउटा रिभल्वर पनि उनीहरुले लुटेछन्। राजावादीहरुलाई पक्रिएपछि यी दंगाकारीहरु अझ उग्र भएका हुन् कि के हो ?
विराटनगरको मुख्य शहरी इलाकामा भने मंगलबारदेखि नै अनिश्चितकालीन कर्फ्यु जारी छ।
यता, काठमाडौँमा पक्राउ परेका पूर्व शाही मन्त्रीहरुलाई ३ महिने थुनुवा पूर्जी दिइएको रहेछ शान्ति सुरक्षामा खलल पारेको अभियोग लगाएर। त्यसका विरुद्ध सर्वोच्चमा रिट परिसकेको रहेछ। अब उनीहरुलाई छाडिने त होला नि पहिले जस्तै।

What is Bahun Bad in fact? Can you define? Majority of Newar are over representaed in every aspect of life in Nepal. There are 100′s of Bahun Chhetri are poor like others. Majority rich people are from Newar,Marwadi, Shaha, Dhakuris NOT Bahuns. Even leaders like Girija, Makune, Manamohan, Prachand, BabuRam are not rich like others either.You should stand for class struggle not for race that divide society and country. Every race has got rich and poor.Even Newar has got lower cast like Mandhar, Chyame, Pode. Mddhesi has Bahun and lower cast. Every cast has descrimination againt own people. Therefore, we should stand for unequality for all but NOT against particular race. What would happen if any clashes between group Bahun Chhetri from surrounding Kathmandu and inner Newar abrupt like in Madhes. What would hapen in Narayangat or Dhankuta if fight broke out between Newar and others. Newar is the raciest cast in Nepal who wants to segreagte from other cast.Do not blame Bahun/chhetri have have got racist mind. They do have organisations like Guthi,Newa Manch,Manda Khala etc. If there are two newars and 10 others,you do not care to speak Newari.No other cast like Gurug, Magar or Tamang do that.
Country is turning into Sri Lanka and you are saying that Janajatis and Madhesi to continue a violent protest. You are stupid “DESHDROHI” You the minority will suffer than Majority like in Sri Lanka.

British India is now three country. USSR is now may countries. East timor seperated from Indonesia. Simlarly, many countries seperated from Yogoslavia. Now, Kosovo is trying to seperate. We have only seen breaking of countries except Germany and Yemen(?). In India new states are coming. Some are fighting for new independence. Sikkim and Tibbet were not pleasant. So, the era of unification is gone and this is the era of seperation and Independence. If selfdetermination is a right, then why not independence?
I am not favoring splitting Nepal now but asking a academic question.

For those who wish to dispatch NA and Moist forces to Madhesh, they will find out how many paharis die for every madheshi killed. They will see how long it will take to chase away all paharis from madhesh and create a de-facto independent state. There will never be enough NA and Moist forces to enforce pahari will on madheshis.
So it is only show of bancrupcy of intelligence when they talk about use of force, if not outright bigotry. Legitimate rights of madheshis must be given. Same standard should be applied to madhesis as expected by SPA from King and Moists from SPA. Accusation of India and Mandalee fueling this movement will inflame madheshi movement and a show of hipocrisy of SPA and Moists.

There is always a better way to solve problems with dialogues and negotiations peacefully. You can just get idea from the history and recent development with maoists. If you are still happy with killing others and doing violences, then there is no way to suggest stupid people like you. Why madhesis…why pahares?? I am from madhes, I know madhesis and I have equal sympathy with them. I have never seen any differences. Aren’t we all Nepali people? Pls dont try to destroy this beautiful small nation..!! I am astonished at how Pahares, as a class are reacting to this janandolan. I want to ask those communal Pahares, How many pahares are killed during this andolan, rather Pahare satta has killed 12 madhesis during those two weeks. And madhesis are portrayed as some kind of monster and indiscipline police force as savior. What was happening during janandolan in 2046 and 2062…..same thing. I do not support violance but what is happening there is not a type of criminal violance. Political violance have been part of the history of Nepal. Now look at prachand, he is willing to mobilise Army and his PLA to crush the madhesi movement. I see a deliberate attempt by pahare satta and pahare media to insult this movement. I request all madhesis to live up to the calls of our mother land. Do whatever is possible for you at this moment. At least write blogs to teach those communal people that we are here and everywhere to oppose you. Our brothers are being killed and we are losing patience. Non of the pahare leaders are listening to us….so now onwards no Barta until and unless you people recognize this andolan……those who will go fro talks without recognizing sacrifice of our 12 brothers will be treated as traitors.

If you think Madhesi will get afaird by the gun of army and Maoist (terrorist’s army), then its no more than nightmare. If you put more pressure on ballon beyond its limit, it bursts rather than it strech.
If you donot have knowledge, then read some history of Nepal and get some data about Nepalese cultural diversoty and their role in national arena. But donot write just whateve you like.
Remember- its cautiionary for Pahariaya people like you (not to all)- enough is enough. You people are communal who want to enjoy over the resources of Madhesh and Madhesi. Shame on people like you… who is suggesting action, which might lead toward separation of Nepal.

It seems to me that you have a deep knowledge of the political history of Nepal.That is very good.I appreciate your analytical skills.
But I just want to point out one thing,if we consider our brother as a best friend he is the best friend ,but if we consider him as your enemy he will be the biggest enemy.So is the relation between pahadi and madishe.
janakpur is a land of wisdom.it is a holy place and was the center for many intellectual person for quiet a long time ,I know’tirhut brahmin ‘are very intellegent people.
There are some reason why madishe and pahadi tries to dominate each other.
1)I believe the prestige of tarain people in Nepal was harmed by the people in bihar.and the trend
continues.
2)to dominate ,or to hate ,these things depends on the person also.madishe in kathmandu and villages in pahad brings kauli ,vegetables door to door.Cuts hair,says khali shisi botal.wears dirty cloth.does not have good looking personality.This is human nature.if you are in the place of pahadi you will certainly do the samke kind of behaviour to those people.
If you dont agree,why dalit,womans are also dominated by pahade community because they are simple and they are not educated and so on.
But think,you are madishe,You are in USA .who can dominate you.
3)Lower class people,are back ward in all community(they are uneducated,poor,does not wear good cloth etc)
I know you are talking about the discrimination done by kingdom.Not individuals.I agree .Because pahade has all dadu ,paneu in their hand.for this you guys should fight with pahade.that is what is happening in madesh now.Keep it up.

The Government has failed to fulfill the wishes of the people. The rights of the underprivileged people the Janajatis have not been addressed. Proportional representation has been ignored. The people who have ruled on the basis of religion and caste still want to hold on to the power and not share with others. The king is gone but his supporters still occupy 95% of the top posts. Monopoly of the privileged class in the power structure must end. Kick them out and hire disadvantaged people. Until that is not fulfilled Nepal will see no peace.

I agree with you. Most of the leader from Terai are Indian agents and they work according to Indian grand design. I am afraid of our Terain Neplease, or Madhesi (but i dont like to pronounce Madhes)better say Terain will not have peaceful life either by now because of Indian agents. Am also a terain and felt terain politics very closely. I have never found any Terain origin political leader ever innocent to their community. Those who does not think for their community (Terai), how can we expect from them to Nation.

It is none of your business to write who is doing what.
It is true that all the Madeshes are treated as second class citizen of Nepal.I think for the first time in hisory of Nepal, the madhese people are feeling proud of their culture and ethnicity.
They have every right for equality and Girija has failed to realize the gravity of the situaion.
The forthcoming constitutional election should be based on equal representation. The present distribution of electoral seat is biased towards Pahade and is unfair for Madhese.And, everybody should be prepared for the result of new election. If the elected constitutional body make new constituion chosing Maithili as national language of Nepal, every pahede should be prepared tp accept it.

अर्को बिषय जब माओबादिले सोघटनाको बिषयमा समेत माफिमागिसको अनि सायद नेपालमा अहिले सम्म त्यसरि जनता समक्ष माफिमागने नेता र दलपनि कोहि जन्मियको छैन होला।
नत्र भने जब मधेसको आनदोलन सहि हो भने किन गणतन्त्र पहिला घोषणा हुनु पर्छ भनिदैन त?
यहि हो मुख्य बिषय यदि सम्बिधान सभाको चुनाब नै हुदैन भने माओबादिले १२ बर्ष सम्म को युद्ध गरेको सक्ति एकै पटक देखाउन सक्नु पर्छ।
सो सक्तिले यहि समयमानै गणतन्त्र घोषण र माओबादिकै नेत्रीत्वमा नेपाल सरकार र नया सम्बिधान सभाको चुनाब गर्ने हिम्मतका साथ जानुपर्ने देखिन्छ। माओबादिका सेना कन्डोमेन्टबाट नै किन ननिस्कन परोस्, आफ्ना सम्पुर्ण मिलिस्सिया र सेनालाइ, काठमाडुर तराइमा सिमित गरि देशलाई क्याप्चार् गर्नु प्रर्छ्। देश टुक्राउने धन्दामा लागेको छ दरबार र त्यसकै ओरिपरि अन्य भक्तजनहरु।
यति गर्न सकेन भने माओबादिलाइ देशबाट बडार्ने त पकै छन् त्यसमाथि देश टुक्राउने भारतको चाहना अबस्य पुराहुने छ।
त्यस्कारण सबैले माओबादिको दम बिचार गरेका हुन्
सबैलाइ चेतना भया- आ- आफ्नो बिचार राखने अधिकार सबैलाइ छ तर देशटुक्राउने अधिक कसैलाइ छैन,
कसरि संघिय हुन सकछ राजतन्त्रनै जिउदो छ भने अनि कसरि देश संघियमा जान सक्छ।
यदि यसो होइन भने तराइको जुन नारा छ किन सम्पुरण सान्ति समयमा हुन सकेन र अहिले देशलाइ केहि बाटो तय गर्न लागेको बेलामा यस्ता गटना हुन्छन् त?

I don’t want to go into discussion about parmendra Bhagat ….but How dare you say that any madhesi has not contributed to the Jantantrik Andolan in Terai. Here is list of some names you can do a little bit research on them.
Raghunath Thakur: who was freedom fighter against Rana Shashan and wrote a book titled “Madhesh ki sanskriti” in 2007 BS and noted historian Rahul Sankritayan wrote foreword of the book.
Ram Narayan Mishra: Senior leader of nepali congress who served as Udyog Mantri in First elected government of B P Koirala. He was arrested with BP and put in Sundarijal for 7 years where he refused to be released on condition of writing a bintipatra to king even if he was suffering from cancer. He died of that disease within 1 month after being relesed for treatment.
Durganand Jha : Who bombed King Mahendra in Janakpur and was subsequently hanged. First Martyr of Panchayati shashan
Mahendra Narayan Nidhi: You may remeber him. He died when he was general secretary of Nepali congress.
Gajendra Narayan singh: You may not like this name but he was a senior leader of Nepali congress before he left Nepali Congress on the ground of discrimination of madhesis.
And many more whom you don’t know because we and you have been taugh a Panchyati history. So, my dear freind before writing such sentences at least think how much it pains for people and families who have suffered during raja ko Shashan. If you think that all the madhesis are Indians then there is no way out. You can not evict all of them from terai so better take the suggestion of Jay Krishna Goit. Non of the Madhesis sold koshi , Mahakali and kalapani neither non of us work as mercenaries for India and britain but we are touted as Bidesi.
I had thought that this Janandolan and maoist movement has inculcated some sanity in Nepal….but I admit I was wrong. Democracy is a dangerou idea. If you don’t want to give up you right, it will blow you off. I am astonishe how everybody of pahare community is welcoming PM’s speech eventhough it did not contain a word of remorse for 9 madhesis. I had posted a coment somedays ago saying that the government made a mistake and it will further worsen the situation. This is well orchestrated and well planned. The King is sidelined,army is in barrack and Maoists arms in the container. Nepali nationhood is very weak at this moment. Noone in Kathmandu understands this. People enjoy singing parody on King Gyanendra.The situation will gradually slip from the hands of SPA and Maoist. It is all part of the Nepal Game Plan. The government should crack down on this seperatist and terrorist movement. The situation is very grave. The government should not be afraid of street protests. India has been fighting agaisnt Kashmiri and Naga nationalists for 50 years.

U are right. That NATARWARLAL sent mail everyond and he send me too. but i tried to read some news. but he always bias and want to nepal seperate .
actually that natarwall claimed himself leader of NSP in before. Now he is claiming he is among intelectual in america.
if parmendra have any kind of wisdom , please not to spread wrong thing among simple terai people.
Natwar lal , if you have any good idea to save country and claim your right with peacefully.
