शिवरात्रीमा पशुपति मन्दिरको यो मनमोहक तस्वीर अोमप्रकाश यादवले खिच्नुभएको हो।
धर्मनिरपेक्ष राष्ट्रको घोषणा भएपछि हिन्दूहरुको महान चाड शिवरात्री आज पहिलो पटक मनाइँदैछ। गएरातिदेखि नै पशुपतिमा ठूलो लाम लागिसकेको छ। यस पटक शिवरात्रीमा विशेष पासको व्यवस्था नगरिने भएको छ। पशुपति क्षेत्रमा बाबाहरुको भीड पनि अस्तिदेखि नै लाग्न थालिसकेको थियो। आजदेखि हिन्दू अतिवादीहरुले काठमाडौँमा हिन्दू अधिराज्यको घोषणा हुनुपर्ने माग गर्दै दंगा मच्चाउने तयारी गरिरहेका छन् भन्ने खबर धेरैअघिदेखि आएको थियो। शायद त्यसैलाई ध्यानमा राखी आज दुई हजार प्रहरी, १२ सय सशस्त्र प्रहरी र २ सय सेना त्यहाँ परिचालन गरिँदैछ। हेरौँ, के हुने हो आज। त्यसो त आज पनि एउटा अर्को रेकर्ड बस्दैछ नेपालको इतिहासमा। सेना दिवसको अवसरमा सेनाले टुँडिखेलमा पहिले जस्तो राजालाई सलामी नदिई प्रधानमन्त्रीलाई सलामी दिनेछ। अस्वस्थ प्रधानमन्त्री त्यहाँ पुग्न सक्नुहुने हो कि हैन बरु।
मस्तीको जीवनः पशुपति क्षेत्रमा शिवभक्त बाबा।
यी नाङ्गा बाबाहरुलाई हिजो हिउँ परेको काठमाडौँको जाडोले पक्कै सताएको छ होला।
जय बम भोले।
शिवरात्रीमा पशुपतिमा देखिने यी बाबाहरु पनि आकर्षणका केन्द्र हुन्।

Oh! I forgot to mention in my last comment that the Shiva-bhakta and Ram-bhakta babas don’t get along very well. In fact they have been arch enemies at times.

Nice photographs Umesh jee and thank you for putting my photograph too. I would like to make a small correction here:
The yogi you have in the second picture ‘Shiva bhakta baba’, well he is actually a Ram Bhakta baba, Babas with three vertical stripe tikas are Ram bhakta. The three lines denote Ram, Lakshman and Sita; the red line is for Sita. The Shiva bhakta babas have horizontal tikas or simply a small tika of ash.

yes!!! it was great moment of nepalese political history army most be loktantrikaran they must respect civil not to royal. I dont belived they will as fast respect to people & not only be care in sivaratri allways care with hindu atibadi.

12. In both, you can only enter but not get out. A Muslim who wants to convert into another religion is killed, so are Maoists. There is a one way entrance and no exit in life.
Some differences
1. Muslims over-believe in God, Allah, Maoists DO NOT
2. Muslims marry the women of the victims of war and multiply thier children; Maoists do not have such a strategy
3. Muslims are growing day by day all over the world; but Maoists are disappearing, except only in Nepal
4. Muslims are over-spiritual but Maoists are materialists.
