शिवरात्रीका दिन पशुपतिको दर्शन गरेर फर्कन लागेका राजाको गाडीमा प्रदर्शनकारीहरुले आक्रमण गरेका छन्। शिवरात्रीका दिन हिन्दु अतिवादीहरुले दंगा मच्चाउने भनी खबरसँगै सरकारले आज त्यस क्षेत्रमा सेनासमेत परिचालन गरेको थियो। शिवरात्रीमा पशुपति मन्दिरमा पूजा गर्न राजा एक्लै करिब सवा छ बजे आएका थिए। आएदेखि नै हिन्दु राजाको पक्ष र विपक्षमा नाराबाजी भइरहेका थिए। यसपल्ट राजाको सवारीका बेला पहिले जस्तो घण्टौँ सर्वसाधारणलाई नरोकी राजाका लागि एउटा द्वार खोली अरु तीन द्वारबाट सर्वसाधारणलाई पनि पूजा गर्न दिइएको थियो। अर्थात् राजा र जनताले एकै सरह पूजा गरेका थिए।
पूजा गरेर फर्कँदै गर्दा ७ बजेर २० मिनेट जाँदा राजाको गाडीमा आक्रमण गरिएको थियो। राजा कै गाडीलाई लक्षित गरी प्रहार गरिएको भए पनि ढुंगा भने एडीसीको गाडीमा लाग्न पुगेको थियो। ढुंगा प्रहारबाट एडीसीको गाडीका शिशा फुटेका छन्। ४५ मिनेटमात्र दर्शनका लागि समय छुट्याइएको भए पनि राजाको विपक्षमा चर्का नारा लगाएर तनाव उत्पन्न भएपछि राजा मन्दिरभित्रै आधा घण्टासम्म रुङ्गेर बस्न बाध्य भएका थिए। पछि सेना, सशस्त्र र प्रहरीको एस्कोर्टसहित त्यहाँबाट राजाको गाडीलाई लगिएको थियो।
यो घटनाका प्रत्यक्षदर्शी कोटेश्वरनिवासी अनुजबाट घटनाका बारेमा सुनौँ।

I dont have enough knowledge about conspiracies in current political situation in Nepal. bhitra bhitra hune kura haru sayad dherailai thaha hudaina hola jasto lagchha malai. Gyanendra was not a good king, i fully agree to this.Infact he is a moron surrounded by his stupid “bhardar” in his so called “darbar” But what’s the point at throwing stones to “oralo lageko mirga”. If we all nepalese people love our country, we should kick the whole damn bunch of “bhardars” out after stabilising the political situation as soon as possible.

people are still not clear what they want in Nepal…do they mean it’s good to pelt stones to the king who is already dissolved and has no existence in truth..this will cause extreme anger in him and watch..the day is coming when there will be intense anarchism and chaos within the country due to this issue…coz King is not going to stop himself to do some twist in the coming days to regain his power and throne…beware Nepalese..as it’s strange to get snow after 62 yrs it can be strange for all of us to get strange activities and strange outcomes from the king..let’s watch wht really king is gng to do in coming days with curiousity and carefulness….

i think this is a bullshit..
showing stones at the same man whom u worshipped one day seems nothing but just a mere behavioural sickness of we nepalese people.
when we had named him as a king a little bit of mistakes are to be fordibben yah u can shout at him but throwing stones at him the person once called the other form of god makes nepalese people one of the most irresponsible peoples in the world neither i am from kings party nor i have any involvment in democracy but like others i am too worried for my country.

When I look at Gyanendra’s photo in Nepal news he style looked bit like his deceased brother Birendra which Gyanedra managed to finish all possible claimers of the reign. After trying so many brutal ways and suppression when everything failed, now it appears that he has started playing another drama that trying to look like his murdered brother, having mustache, bit of smile, and some rehearsal of humble nature from outside though he was trying to get some sympathy of people in desperation. So it shows that he can play thousand different roles for the sake of power. But unfortunately he is so badly exposed and lot all respect and gathered so much hatred of people I felt pity on him. But who is to blame for that to be a good king he should have learned to respect the people not to suck their blood.

What happened in Pashupati today is definitely not civilised way of dealing with the situation. These are the extremely unhappy people those who are highly frustrated and may who have suffered too long under Gyanendra’s rule. How looking at the mood of the political climate and all the criminals and murdered should have been punished in a legal way. Possibly that would have put Gyanendra in prison and perhaps he should have been completely stripped of power and his all illegal possesion. When the government does not have courage to punish the thugs, criminals and murderer, and ordinary people can not see that there is no justice for them these sort of uncivilised activity will continue though it really unfortunate in the name of democracy. So there good lessons for the wrong doers and the impotent government who has no credibility so far.

I was really surprised with the comments of the fellow bloggers.
In one hand they were talking about democracy and freedom and in the other hand they were actually happy of somebody getting hurled by the stones.
We as a human should despise these kind of activities. In the name of “Loktantra” we just couldnot do what ever we want to. There are systems and ways of doing everything.
If we can’t even protect the king( u may argue he is not the head of state, but he is still in the palace and getting salary) , no wonder maoist do all those extortion.

i am not supporting king but there is more stupid politician leader they are the one who not leading a countery such a good direction there for king want to keep and maintain the countery but same stupid leader come again there and advise to the king and making again very difficult situation so alone king how can he make the countery even you or me can think when such as can maitain not making a difficult situation for the poor people every day you want to close so 85percent pepole are so poor how can they save their live they have kids they have family so they always thinking for everyday how to survive they are all innocent people not like a politician leader to have eat if possible all nepal and make other countery they never thought about NEPALI BHUMI in my point of vew make the new leader and give them to handle all this situation it might be change before we left the some diffrent and i want to let you all guys my english is not so good enough to you may be you will write down about my advise so think we all came from very very undevelop countery

Devotees are arranged to be entered from all four sides of the temple. Pashupati Area Development Trust had previously told that it won’t block devotees to enter the temple during king’s visit. But, it blocked one side of the queue, keeping all other three doors open to the general public. So, the devotees of that blocked side were protesting for being restricted to enter the temple area. Then, devotees threw stones when the king was coming out of the temple after offering prayers. Power was cut at the time when people started throwing stones to king. Then, he was taken back inside the temple area. He remained there for around 30 minutes. Meanwhile, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force dispersed the protesting devotees who were shouted anti-king slogans.Then, after 30 minutes, around 7:45, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force escorted him outside. Then, protesters again started throwing stones to him. He was driving himself.
Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation confirmed that Stone damaged a vehicle of the Military Police and the Armed Police Force.
A devotee, named Roshan, is arrested in accuse of throwing stone to the king.
