लोकतन्त्र नआएसम्म नेपालीहरु बन्दले हैरान थिए। खाली बन्द हुन्थे त्यतिबेला पनि। लोकतन्त्र आएपछि त्यसमा केही सुधार हुन्छ कि भनेको त के खाएर हुनु। झन् पो अराजक हिसाबले बन्द भइरहेको छ त। यसको चरम रुप आज पर्सामा देखिएको छ। त्यहाँ आज एउटा हैन दुई वटा हैन छ-छ वटा संस्थाले बन्द आह्वान गरेका छन्। एउटै जिल्लामा विभिन्न माग राखी छ वटा संस्थाले छुट्टाछुट्टै आह्वान गरी बन्द गरेको यो नयाँ रेकर्ड बनेको छ ।
सरकारले गरेको वार्ता आह्वानलाई लत्याउँदै मधेशी जनअधिकार फोरम आजदेखि तराईमा िहंसात्मक आन्दोलनमा उत्रिएको छ। िहंसात्मक यस कारणले भनेको कि यसअघिसम्मको आन्दोलनलाई उनीहरुले शान्तिपूर्ण आन्दोलन भनेका थिए। शान्तिपूर्ण आन्दोलन सकिएपछि िहंसा नै हुने हो हैन र तर आशा गरौँ िहंसा नहोस्।
फोरमबाहेक सरकारमा रहेको नेपाल सदभावना पार्टी आनन्दीदेवीले पनि बन्द आह्वान गरेको छ पसा्रमा । आदिवासी जनजातिहरुको पनि आजै बन्द परेको छ भने चुरे भावर प्रदेश एकता समाजको बन्द पनि आजै परेको छ । समाजले भने बन्द फिर्ता लिएको भनिएको थियो ।
बाराका यातायात व्यवसायीहरुले भने बन्दका विरुद्ध बन्द भन्दै आफ्ना यातायात ठप्प पारी अर्को रेकर्ड राखेका छन्।
अहिलेसम्म चुप बसेका चेपाङहरुले पनि भोलि मकवानपुर चितवन धादिङ गोरखा बन्दको आह्वान गरेका छन् । अरु कहाँ कहाँ बन्द छन् शायद आयोजकहरुलाई पनि थाहा छैन होला।
के छ त विचार तपाईँ पनि बन्दको आयोजना गर्ने कि। झन् चरित्रहीन चेलीहरुले त चुलो र चोलो बन्द गर्ने भनिसकेका छन् पुरुषहरु नि !

Let every primary schools have teachers,,,,
Students hard work is not judged by his ethnicity…

Noodles came to the market, and everybody started instant noodles factories – so much so that they seem to run out of names for new products. But did anyone ever try bringing in a different stuff? Garment factories are complaining about declining market, but did they ever think of changing their equipments to produce better products? That’s how things work in Nepal. Now it’s bandha, bandha and bandha. Can anyone come up with an alternative? Bandhs have yielded results but only on papers and promises. Nothing has come out of it. So why more bandhs? Just so that you have nothing better to do? Or just so you don’t need to work?
Umesh, I guess you should put up notices for the days when there are no bandhs.

WHY ? Don’t we deserve Democracy? or what?
Does federalism solve problem? Does republican solve problem? Is there no problem in India? Does removing or keeping the religion solve the problem? Is there no problem in Pakistan? Isn’t Britain democratic?
what is self determination? who is asking for more freedom? Isn’t is who was/is enjoying, or is it who does not know what is freedom? Who is coming to the protest? Is he coming to the protest by enlightenment or by getting assurance of food, or out of fun or out of curiosity? If they are injured or (if dead) do they know for what they are being injured?
People when united forced the King (once absolute powerful) to surrender, why we are unable to force leaders to carryout the solution? Do we have trust on us? Are we become selfish? Are we been pawn of others? what is going on? Or, do we not deserve the freedom but deserve the autocracy as “Rana Shashan”. Before rana regine, country was not stable. It was stable for 104 years. Due to the change in India we get rid of them. But why could not we preserve our democracy? Then cam panchayat. It was stable for 30 years. Then came another democracy. It was still unstable. Then cam Magh 19. Then April, and then it seems the cycle is reduced. Why?
Is it because of curse of some sort? Is it because we never learn? Or,is it because we are happy with all this? Why?
The easient answer is to blame each other. Why to think in unsion and have a headache ?

I bet people will be in same situtaion eve nafter Maoist come into political mainstream and King is deprived of power. In future again Ministers will be minsiters and they will misutilize power and people won’t raise their voice but present their frustration within their friends circle unless another big group is formed and repeats the cycle.

It’s better that all the agitating parties have nepal bandh in the same day rather than everyother day. People atleast can have respite in remaining days
.
And I strongly believe there needs to be stringent laws regarding vandalism during agitation, the concerned agitating party must be made accountable for all the destruction and make them pay, if not their leaders go to the jail. Or else, I can just gather 50 of my friends and agitate saying there is too much air pollution in kathmandu and start burning tires

Dear Umesh Ji,
Thanks for the nice blog and writings. I think we have to consider ongoing all Bandh, Crisis, and pieces of violent activities (in comparison to insurgency) as a normal sort or nature of a post conflict country. Obliviously it is very big issues for normal people but the conflict experts and matured politicians use to take such incidents as a normal way in international arena. You may see the Iraq, Afghanistan etc, I think; it will take minimum 2-5 years time to get peace that we expect now if everything will go in normal way. I have feeling that our expectation is much faster then the natural speed of peace building. Thank you.

अरुलाई खसालेर आफु ठुलो हुने मानसिकता आम नेपालिमा छ। अरुको भन्दा राम्रो काम गरेर पो ठुलो होईन्छ त! तर यस्तो कुरा गर्ने मान्छे नेपाली समाजमा “narrow minded” हुन्छ। राजनितिक रुपमा खुब नारा ले काम गर्छ, सबैको प्रतिनिधित्ब रे, के साँच्चिकै गरिबको ले सिंहदरबार मा सिट पाउँछ त???? चुनाबमा उठन सक्ने औकात हुन्छ उस्को??? आखिर हालि-मुआलि गर्ने त ति शोशित उत्पिडित को नाम बाट अहिले भैरहेका तिनै भित्रका ठुला ठालु नेता भएर आउने त हो। अथबा ( तर्साउन हैन, सहानुभुति पाउन) एक दुई जना “बुख्याँचा” (scare-crow) को रुपमा देखाबटि प्रतिनिधित्ब हुने त हुन । चाहे जति वटा संघ किन नबनोस “जस्तो समस्या हरु समग्र नेपालमा छन, तिनै समस्याहरु प्रत्येक टुक्रामा पनि हुनेछन” ( whole to part ) । जब सम्म स्बतः स्फुर्त रुपमा कुनै पनि नेपालिले आफ्नो योग्यताको भरमा गरि खान सक्ने हुँदैन, र नाताबाद कृपाबाद को अन्त्य हुदैंन, र हामी नेपालीले गुण र दोषको आधारमा मुल्याङ्कन गर्न सक्ने हुदैंनौ, जस्तो नेपाल बने पनि नयाँ त बन्ला तर राम्रो नेपाल चाँहि पक्कै हुने छैन।
जुन सुकै देशले पनि प्रगति गरेको छ भने त्यसमा केबल शिक्षाको ठुलो योगदान हुन्छ। भारत को अहिलेको ९.३ % को आर्थिक बृद्दी राजनिति ले मात्रै लेराइएको पक्कै होईन। मेरा एक मित्र ले रुढ्की बिश्वविद्यालय (हाल आई आई टि) जाँदा को अनुभब सुनाउँदै हुनुहुन्थ्यो। त्यहाँका प्रोफेशर लाई बिद्यार्थीहरुले आदर गरेर खुट्टामा ढोगेको देखेछन। अहिलेको भारत को आर्थिक बृद्दिको जग तिनै प्रोफेसर हरु ले हालेका हुन। के नेपालमा यो संभब छ???? हाल को अबस्थामा छैन, किनकी हाम्रो शिक्षाको स्तर समग्रमा धेरै तल छ। भारतका सरकारी बिद्यालयहरु निजी भन्दा पनि गुणस्तरिय शिक्षा दिन्छन। शिक्षामा जनताको पहुँच सर्बसुलभ भएर एउटा शिक्षित समाज नबनाई हाम्रो दिगो बिकास संभब छैन।
