यी माथिका अनुहार गौर काण्डमा ज्यान गुमाउने दुई युवतीका हुन्। उनीहरुको ज्यान मात्र लिइएको थिएन, पाशविक बलात्कार गरी यातना दिई तड्पाई तड्पाई मारिएको थियो। मानवअधिकार सन्धि अनुगमन समन्वय समितिले गौर घटनाको स्थलगत प्रतिवेदन सार्वजनिक गरेको छ। प्रतिवेदन अनुसार मारिएका २८ मध्ये दुई जनाको अझै सनाखत हुन सकेको छैन भने पाँच जना बेपत्ता छन्।

१.मधेसी जनअधिकार फोरमले पहिला देखिनै तयारी गरी आयोजना गरेको आमसभास्थलमा नै माओवादी पक्षले पनि सभा गर्न तयारी गरीनु माओवादीको गल्ती देखिएको छ ।
२. दुवै पक्षले आमसभा एकै स्थानमा राखेपछि हुन सक्ने सम्भावित भिडन्तलाई स्थानिय प्रशासनले नजर अन्दाज गरी सुरक्षाको प्रवन्ध गर्न र सभा रोक्न कुनै उपायहरू अवलम्वन गरेको देखिएन ।
३. जनअधिकार फोरमका कार्यकर्ताहरू हतियार सहित सुसज्जित हुनुले उनिहरू पूर्व तयारी अवस्थामा भिडन्त गर्न तयार भएको देखियो ।
४.मधेसी राष्ट्रिय मुक्ती मोर्चाको कार्यक्रममा माओवादीले पहाडिया समुदायका Y.C.L सदस्यहरू लैजानु हुँदैनथ्यो ।
५.फोरमका कार्यकर्ताहरूले ५ किमि उत्तर सम्म गएर निर्मम तरीकाले माओवादी कार्यकर्ताहरूको हत्या गर्नुले उनिहरू हिंसात्मक राजनिती तर्फउन्मुख भएको देखियो ।
६. मृतक र घाइतेहरू अधिकांस पहाडिया समुदायका भएकाले जातीय दंगा भडकाउने फोरमको उद्येश्य देखियो ।

Hi Umesh-ji, I thank you so much for following up on this tragic issues, this incident sadden and shocked me more than any news that I have heard or seen in my life, hence I have been reading everything I find.
I find most people try to blame one or other or both. But this matter is much more than that. The Indians killed Nepalese in Nepali soil. This is an assault on our motherland. There could have been war had this happened in other country but we are just busy analyzing and proofing who is right and who is wrong. Just understand a Nepali would not hire Indians to slaughter Nepalese.
I think we have to think new ways to secure our boundaries and protect our people of tarai.

It’s a matter of 29 lives , we shouldnot debate on who is more or less responsible,the heineous crime was comitted and both of them has equal blood in their hands, no one should get excuse due to it’s political background.
MPRF must be brought to justice and so does the MMM and the party leadership who has given a green signal for the rally there. We have to find the root cause of the problem sothat nothing like that happens again.The laymen cadre should not be made scape goat for the crime of this magnitude. The maoist and the MPRF leadership must explain the arrangments and rearrangements on that day and who was in charge of issueing go ahead for the cadres which lead to this massacre, the body who was incharge of rallies in the maoist party is equally responsible for the crime which should have been avoided.Why nobody in the maoists are talking anything about that??Why nobody demanding any internal probe inside their own party about the illfated decision??
I guess, even maoist cadres wish to know that!!

The thing I’m not clear here is; when MAOIST killed so many people for whole one decade with much brutality and inhumane than what had happened in GAUR. So, why a person who seems quite concerned in this gaur case didn’t try to remember those incidents? Is it just because we Nepalese are very good in forgetting the past? No matter who killed or who died, afterall he/she is also belongs to same the country.

Gaur incident could be avoided and I feel sorry for the loss of so much life in Gaur incident. However, I have few questions to so called Human Rightists that where they were when Maoist were beating forum activists, obstructing forum programmes in different place and killing forum activits. Moreover, why the decesed people from Rukum, Rolpa, Jajarkot, Dang, Makwanpur had gone to Gaur? They may be gone to Gaur to kill, if not beat the forum activits where the people turned negatively to them.

Gaur massacre is against humanity and humankind. Whoever was involved on that case should be penalized according to the law. In my view they should be hanged but Nepalese law does not allow that.
Any way there are some people like Narendra Bista who are still in illusion that Gaur massacre was done by maoist not by Forum. But both are responsible and the peoples of Forum are not human. If they are, they should not act like this.
Condemn Forum and its leaders as well as followers.
Do not say them animal because this will be the insult of animals.

I think the carnage was more like revenge than politically motivated. In order to stop the revenge attacking and killing, the guilty must apologize for their mistakes. As far as I know Maiost never apologized for what they did in the past. If Gaur killers should be arrested and tried in the court, the Maoists who beat, tortured, (if not killed ?) after they join the government as a political party should be arrested (even if we forget and forgive about their past 10 years crime). I haven’t seen such arrests yet. I am not from Medesh but I came to know that they have suffered a lot in their own country. I could not believe that they were not given citizenship card all this years. I think all this kind of suppression was about to explode and the Gaur incident occurred. Moreover, I think they(Madeshis) felt that they were betrayed by Prachand when he said that they should be outlawed. Law and oder should be applied to all people and equally practiced.

Gaur incident was very sad and cruel like Madi incident, so I even don’t want to remember. But it should be investigated properly and also to be punished the culprits, and would like to pray such incidents never happened again.
From the news and independent sources, it was said that Incident happened due to the Forum’s criminal planning but also blamed Maoist + YCL for its provocating acts.
As said by some, Indiscreminate shooting during incident by Automatic weapons was not proved as there was only 2 person with bullet wounds. According to Human Right Group, from 2 YCL cader, they got Pistol.
And also as said, 2-5 women were raped and murdered, sofar I know from the media and other sources, their rape case was not medically proved. Although it was for sure a Heinous crime.
So, as I said it before, it was very sad and criminal incident, should be investigated and punished all the criminals.

The incident is inhuman. It reminds the maoist’s inhuman actions in the past years. The maoists should now realise they had done the similar inhuman activities to the Nepalese people.

Maoist have now finally seen that violence is a bad practice for getting into politics, but on the other hand Maoist in Government also encourage others to involve in violence and later negotiation with peace to acquire the big fish. But every one knows that Maoist are supported by India to sweep away the King, because King was always unfavourable for Indian Politics of Hydropower and citizenship, so if any of the violence is supported by India, that can long last, otherwise not. In this case, India is not supporting (seems like that)(but who knows Indians, it can’t be longlasting.

Although, Maoists are apparently partially responsible for this tragic event. However, Maoist will be FULLY responsible if they don’t punish the culprit after enjoying the facilities of interim government. I am very pessimistic that Maoist will forget this tragic event like UML did when they enjoyed the 9 months rule.

Gaur massacre is inhuman and reminds to one of the brutal chapter in Nepal’s history.
However, when we read all the newspapers (national and international), it cleary appears that the MAOISTs have crossed the limt. Why do they need “Young Communist League” ? Why do they need to take those YCL figthers to Terai knowing that a few days back they had to run away from Birgunj ?
Anyone can say that YCL is not a disciplined organization rather it is similar to MAOIST’s MANDALE. If they support king, they will be called MANDALE. But they are now under Maoist’s umbrella, no one dares to tell them Mandale – but their activities are not acceptable in this society.
Now, MAOISTS should not keep YCL or similar forces, as they are now in the Government. They should know prove them to be the rescuer for the poor and proletariat. Lets see !

The pahade Maoists cadres underestimate the strength and braveness of Madhese people. They assumed that even if they organised the program in the place where the Madhese people had already reserved , no body could dare to do anything.
But, time has changed!
Other people can turn violent too.
If the Maoists do not change their attitude, many more Gaur incidents will repeat again.

What happend in Palace Massacre was closed incident But what happend in Gaur is a public massacre in daylingt. If this government could not severly punish the criminals then we can not believe this government.
