गगन थापा पक्षधरको भारी बहुमत, संस्थापन पक्षको लज्जास्पद हार
विवादका बीच सम्पन्न नेविसंघको महाधिवेशनको निर्वाचनको गएराति भएको मतगणनामा गगन थापा पक्षधर गणतान्त्रिक धारका उम्मेदवार प्रदीप पौडेल भारी मतले निर्वाचित भएका छन् भने संस्थापन पक्षका उम्मेदवार भनिएका बद्री पाण्डले लज्जास्पद पराजय भोग्नुपरेको छ। पौडेलले ८३० मत प्राप्त गरेका थिए भने पाण्डेको मत थियो जम्मा १ सय ७९। नेविसंघको यो निर्वाचनले देखाएको छ कि नेपालमा गणतन्त्रको पक्षमा जनमत कति छ। अहिले पनि सेरेमोनियल धार लागू गराउन खोजियो भने के हालत होला भनेर नेविसंघको निर्वाचनले कोइराला लगायतका संस्थापन पक्षलाई राम्रैसँग देखाइदिएको छ। प्रजातान्त्रिक पार्टीको भ्रातृ संगठनमा प्रजातान्त्रिक तवरबाट गणतान्त्रिक धारलाई निर्वाचित गर्न सफल भएकोमा नेविसंघका सम्पूर्ण विद्यार्थीहरुलाई बधाई।
यो निर्वाचनले नेपालको राजनीतिमा प्रत्यक्ष/अप्रत्यक्ष प्रभाव पक्कै पनि पार्नेछ। यस्तै परिणाम आउने डरले नै होला, यो महाधिवेशनमा व्यापक धाँधलीको तयारी भएको थियो। महाधिवेशन स्थलमा तरबार र खुँडा समेत बरामद भएको थियो। महाधिवेशन प्रतिनिधिको विषयमा पटक-पटक विवाद भएको थियो र यस पटक पनि निर्वाचन नै नहुने हो कि भन्ने शंका उत्पन्न भइसकेको थियो। तर संस्थापन पक्षका सबै षड्यन्त्रहरुलाई चिर्दै विवेक प्रयोग गर्दै गणतान्त्रिक धारका विद्यार्थीहरुले देखाएको संयमको प्रशंसा गर्नै पर्छ।
संस्थापन पक्षको चरम धाँधलीले दुई दिन लम्विएको महाधिवेशनमा संस्थापन पक्षका उम्मेदवार बद्री पाण्डेले १ सय ७९ मत, सुजाता कोईराला निकट मानिएका सागर खनालले १ सय १३ मत, बिकास कोइरालाले ४ सय ३ मत, लक्ष्मण ढकालले २ मत (एउटा आफ्नै एउटा गर्लफ्रेन्डको होला) र देबेन्द्र पौडेलले १ मत (शायद आफ्नै मत होला, विचरालाई गर्लफ्रेन्डले पनि पत्याएनछ) प्राप्त गरेका छन्।
केन्द्रीय सदस्यहरुमा पूर्वाञ्चलबाट ललित बहादुर श्रेष्ठ, केदार कार्की, राकेश खत्री र अनोज खडका बिजयी भएका छन । मध्यमाञ्चलबाट सदस्यमा मुकुन्दराज काफले, निलकण्ठ रिजाल, दीपक भट्टराइ, सुनिल श्रेष्ठ, रमेश रायमाझी बिजयी भएका छन । पश्चिमाञ्चलबाट हिमाल दत्त श्रेष्ठ, युवराज पाण्डे, सन्तोष पहारी र आनन्दराज त्रिपाठी बिजयी भएका छन ।
मध्यपश्चिमाञ्चलबाट केन्द्रीय सदस्य पदमा भुपेन्द्र जंग शाही, टेक नारायण भुषाल, दीपक भण्डारी,र खडग डा“गी बिजयी भएका छन । त्यसै गरी सुदुर पश्चिमाञ्चलबाट वीर बहादुर बिष्ट, गोपी प्रसाद उपाध्याय र बिष्णुदत्त जोशी निर्बाचित भएका छन । महिला तर्फाट टिका कुमारी चौधरी, कृष्ण कुमारी बस्नेत, उर्मिला थपलिया र निलमखान नजबुन निर्बाचित भए । प्राबिधिक तर्फ डा. सान्तोष कुमार ढुङ्गाना, बिदेश बिभाग तर्फ नारायण कोइराला निर्बिरोध चुनिएका छन ।
यसैबीच गगन थापाले नेविसंघको राजनितीमा पहिलो पटक विचारले विजय पाएको बताउँदै नेपाली कांग्रेसको कान्छो पुस्ताका विद्यार्थीहरुले विवेक प्रयोग गरेर नेपाली कांग्रेसलाई गतिलो जवाफ दिएको भनेर भनेका छन्। ।
निर्वाचित अध्यक्षले सबै पक्षलाई समेटेर छिट्टै केन्द्रीय समितिलाई पूर्णता दिने र लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्रको विचारलाई अगाडि बढाइने बताएका छन्।
स्मरण रहोस्, बन्द सत्रमा संस्थापन पक्षका विद्यार्थी नेताको निरंकुश राजतन्त्र अन्त्य गर्नुपर्ने राजनीतिक प्रस्ताव पास गराएका थिए। त्यसमा गगन थापाले निरंकुश मात्र हैन, सबै खालका राजतन्त्र अन्त्य गर्नुपर्ने भनी सशोधन राख्न खोज्दा बोल्न दिइएको थिएन।
तर नेपाली काँग्रेस भनेको अचम्मको पार्टी हो। कुनै दिन पार्टीको सेरेमोनियल धारलाई अगाडि बढाउन बाधक भएमा यो निर्वाचित समितिलाई भंग गरेर टिके समिति ल्याउन नसकिएला भन्न सकिन्न। तर यदि त्यसो भयो भने काँग्रेस नराम्रैसँग नांगिनेछ। शायद त्यसो हुन नदिनका लागि नै विद्यार्थीहरुले भारी बहुमतले पौडेललाई विजयी बनाएर संस्थापन पक्षलाई चेतावनी दिएका हुन्।

Rajesh Thapa Jee you are 100%right. Gagan Thapa is not democrat. Personally I do not have anythings to tell him because he is also struggeling to gain political height. He claimed himself as a democrat but his behavior is not like that. But it is true that he used to speak those things which catch the VIDVAD immediately. He is highly undemocratic and centrist. Just media is uplifting him to heared hot things. If there was possibility to win President of NSU in Chitwan then he had announced his canidency. He used to support to those who were his HANUMAN. He never think about NSU futer and always think about his own future. If he is a good student leader then he could think the future of NSU. Only communist and some extremist are supporting him. It is because they do not want to progress of Nepali Congress and NSU. They do not want to see strong NSU.

I agree on you point, krishna. This is a victory of group. This group was alreday established in the history of NSU. Even, Pradip is the only one of the follower of this history. I know this group is in more in the favour of republican.Chandra bhandary could not became the NSU president. He retired student poltics from general seceretary. Dhanaraj gurung became the president latter and they promoted the influential leader bishwa prakash on their team. On thousands attempts of then then presiden gobinda bhattarai, bishwa won the election of NSU on chitwan. then bishwa support Guru. But this guru was so ambitious. He crossed the group and decide everythings by himself. Actually, he showed to develop his own group but failed to acheive. Presonnaly,his carrier to be a president of FSU in biratnager, was not suffieicent to lead whole NSU. He was not so experienced and failed in NSU poltics. Then Pradip is also the follower of same line.

Very good news we got today’s morning about Nepal student Union elcetion. First of all congratulation pradipji. Your are going to run Napal Studen union. You have challange and oppertunity to show your ability. And also you have to prove yourself your duty very honestly and responsible way. once again Congratuation the team of NSU. I m very happy as well because this committee has 4 member of women. still we have space to improve from woman point of view beacuse I think why women are only member not in key position.

Guys it is just politics of electing president of NSU.
Predeep himself is really a good leader of NSU and had worked very hard for NSU. It was not matter of supporting by GAGAN. Gagan could support Badri Pandey (Badri is also good leader and also more popular than BIKASH KOIRELA) if there was possibility of electing Badri. Why media uplift GAGAN unnecessarily? There is few extremist behind gagan who always make VIDVAD. He is not popular among the intellegent students who could analysed NSU poltics. GAGAN is just opportunist.
Among present NSU students leader Predeep has high moral and most students loved him because of his honesty and workholic nature. I think GP Koirela and Ram Chandra Poudel were favour of Pradeep Poudel. It is because he got support from Popular Young leader of Ex-NSU Chandra Bhandari, Dhana Raj Gurung, Bishwa Prakash Sharma etc and they are close alley of GP and RC Poudel. Gagan does not have any influence in NSU than these three leaders. Simalarly, Predeep is more strong than Gagan in NSU.
So these were the reason to win Predeep in the NSU presedent.

Its very good news to hear that good person is elected as the president of NSU. Now, Pradip and Gagan should pass the Republican agenda in the NSU. This is the 21st century. Every neplease are concious and they know very well of the political situation of Nepal. Neplease people very much changed than ten years before. Every true Nepali wants to see the Republican in the country. This is the new concious of the Neplease people. People dont like to keep Gynendra as king who came after the power killing Birendra’s family. Every Neplease are very well known about this. In thid situation if Nepali congress again keep the agenda as cerimonial King then there will be no future of the Nepali Congress. Nepali congress isnt the property of Girija and his hanuman/ chamchas. This is the party of the good people. Only the problem of Nepali congress is good person hasnt got chance to lead mat the fron in this party. At the age of 80s as well Girija isnt ready to laeve the PRESIDENT and PRIME MINISTER to other good person likr Ram chandra and Narhari. Girija never wont transfer the power to the good person. He only thinks about the KOIrala family. He always have to transfer his presidency to his hanuman Susil or his daughter Sujata. Now, all the nepali congress people are very aware of this, so, like the NSU election the NEPALI CONGRESS also should be handled good person. This should be done soon other wise there is no future of Nepali congress on the hand of GIRIJA, as carrying the agenda of ceromonial KING. Thanks.

Its really great that Pradeep has won as president of NSU. I do not know him personally but I had an opportunity to hear Gagan Thapa here at London. He seemed to be very energetic and had shaded many vetran politician like Ram chandra Poudel, Subash Newang and even Krishna Mahara in the delebaration of speech in the programme organized by NRN. I was really impressed with him and thaught that country should be handed over to the youth like him. First time in the histry of NSU perhaps the right group has capture the leadership I believe. Many congratualtin to Gagan and his group. Now you must write the history of Nepal with courage and enthusiasm. It is your turn to convert Nepal into republican setup. Now your first job should be to throw the octarian generation of leadership from your parent political party as they can do nothing for Nepal except to defend monarchy which is only the obstacle of development and democracy in our country. Our greatest hope is this group will give leadership challenge to Girija and his chamchas.If it is a geniuin paty with conviction and promise, Gagan Thapa must campagn and move forward fo Republican model leaving old, deadwood and visionless corrupt group of Girija. Nepalese people have been promised, fooled, deceived by so many politician. Pradip you, Gagan and other young leaders, you guys are the hope for the future. Be honest, couregeous, and we all know Nepal has no hope with Girija’s leadership. He compromised for kam chalau government when there was fear that Gyanendra might mobilise army mercenaries and indtenatinal group who had interest in Nepal do not support communist. If you guys want to move ahead with republican agenda, I believe you should have reasonal suppport. But you need to work with communist as well in the fair competition basis. We all must respect the fair game. Anybody want to use force, greed, corrupt tactics, thugy, there must be a system to kick out all such hoolums.

Girija may be unhappy, but if he has even a small portion of brain still working and he not complete servant of gyanendra he must respect what is happening and what people’s aspiration are. Girija must be demanded to step down there should not be any place for such indecisive, deadwood no guts thugs.

Please end the monarchy, have transparency in every organization, press freedom, corruption control (life in prison for any elected government official found guilty of corruption and no second chance), free entreprise. Republic of Nepal is the solution to the insurgency and violence Nepal experienced. If there is to be lasting peace, Nepal must move towards multiparty democracy with Republican set up.
