im not belive on this i no what is happen first you switch off your mobile then remove battery after few second like 50 sec then put inside then switch on then you get your battery full but it not for long time.when you remove battery to put the leaf it will same happen.Hi raj g i accept you comment but there is no matter for leaf.

Hi,

This will work only in nokia. becaus they have a in-built battery
which can be used in case of emergency. Using the green leaf essentially create a connection between the back up battery and the usual battery. Thats the reason it shows the full charge.
The green leaf can not draw power fron ay other source ecept some internal one in the phone.
I am not sure what kind of damage will it cause to the mobile phone because of this short circuit.

Guys,

You know what, Nokia battery always carries some reserve charge. If you are running out of battery charge, you just have to key in *3370# and your mobile will restart with this
reserve and your instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This
reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time. May be this recharge with leaf is happening in same way with some malfunction.

hey dudes the battery also charges with a paper kept in the same way as the leaf. so wat theory do u all give for this.

If you are indicating “Earthing” by grounding then it means our body is connected to an infinite sink which is earth. Earth is considered infinite source/sink of electricity. If your body was floating (while you are riding on pair of insulating slippers or a wooden chair) you are safe to touch energized electrical wires because electricity will not find a closed circuit to flow but if you are standing on top of wet floor which is electrically connected to the infinite sink, the earth, and if you are touching a referenced source, the like electrical outlet, then you will get electrical shock because the circuit is complete in this case. The referenced sources have the other end connected to the earth, also called reference to the earth. A non referenced source, like a battery whose -ve terminal is not connected to the earth and you happen to tourch the +ve termninal, no matter what the voltage of the battery is, it will not give you an electric shock, meaning no current flows through you. If you connect -ve terminal to earth and touch the +ve terminal, standing on wet ground then you will get electric shock beyond ~70V dc. All human do not have same physical structure or exact same chemical composition, hence they have different levels of threshold. To have battery charged through our body, our body must be the part of the circuit, which does not make any sense to me.

I have more concerns on CH2OH’s concerns,
Typical electrical resistance of human body is ~100k Ohms. Typically, cellphone batteries have 1.5AH. For them to charge, they require ~1.5A for 1hr or 1A for 1.5 hours. In the video it looked like the batteries were charged in 5 minutes, Human body can tolerate up to 1mA current. With the human body in the loop, the batteries would take 1.5/0.001 = 1500 hours to charge. If the battery was discharged 80% only then it would take It would require around 1200 hours to charge and a vlotage = 100k*0.001 = 100V.
If we want to charge it faster, like in 5 minutes, it would take a 125mA through human body (only possible when dead) at 100k*0.125 = 12,500 volts

I am currently working as a senior engineer with a Power Tool manufacturing company in developing isolated Li-ion and NiMH batteries. My experties are on developing Pb-Acid electric vehicle battery charger during my work in Nepal. I have worked on Bi-Directional DC-DC converter design for Super-Capacitors and testing Sodium Sulphide (NAS) batteries at American Electric Power.
