पूर्वी नेपालमा जाँदा एउटा ठाडो उकालोमा चौतारीमा भारी बिसाएर बसेका थिए एक ८० वर्षका वृद्ध्। निधारमा आएको खलखली पसिनालाई पुछ्दै ती वृद्धले आफ्नो जीवनको दुःख र पीडा एक जनालाई पोखेका थिए। त्यही पीडाको कथालाई संगीतमा उनेर एउटा गीत बन्यो- सिमली छायाँमा बसी भरिया लामो श्वास फेरेको… जुन पञ्चायत कालमा निकै लोकप्रिय बनेको थियो। बूढाको कथा सुनेर त्यसैको आधारमा गीत बनाउने तिनै गायक जीवन शर्माले लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्रका लागि काठमाडौँमा आयोजित एउटा कार्यक्रममा यो गीत गाउँदा मैले त्यसलाई भिडियोमा कैद गरेको थिएँ। पप र र्यापमा मस्त हुनेहरुका लागि खासै मनोरञ्जक नहोला, तर यो गीतले नेपालका ग्रामीण बासिन्दाको वास्तविक पीडा भने बोकेको छ।

संविधान सभाको लागि (माथि नेपालको समय मुनि कति दिन बाँकी छ भनेर काउन्टडाउन राखेको छु, हेर्नु होला) यति कम दिन बाँकी रहिसकेपछि अब दलहरु गाउँगाउँमा गएर जनतालाई जागरुक बनाएर संविधान सभामा सक्रिय सहभागी गराउनु पर्ने हो। तर अहिले त संविधान सभा नै होला कि नहोला जस्तो गरेर अभिव्यक्ति आइरहेको र परिस्थितिहरु देखिरहेको छ।

Who is going to make these politicians to listens to so many millions Nepalese waiting that moment. Who is going to finish and punish Gyanendra and his bharaute. Who is going to give one millionth of gyanendra’s loot which probably more than millions and millions of Nepalese can live happily with fraction of gyanendra’s loot.
