पार्टीले संवैधानिक राजतन्त्रको लाइन छाडेर संघीय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्रको लाइन लिएकोमा असन्तुष्ट भएर नेपाली काँग्रेससँगै नाता तोड्ने घोषणा गर्नुभएका किसुन जीलाई एउटा राम्रो प्रस्ताव आएको छ- उही मण्डले नेता कमल थापाबाट। सर्वोच्चले जनआन्दोलनका दोषीले पनि संविधान सभाको निर्वाचनमा भाग लिन पाउने भनी फैसला गरेको भोलिपल्ट साथी कृष्ण न्यौपाने कमल थापाको अन्तर्वार्ता लिन पुगेका थिए। गफ हाँक्नमा कसैले जित्न नसक्ने यी नेताले त किसुन जीलाई राजावादी पार्टी खोले आफूहरु लगायत सबैले साथ दिने प्रस्ताव पो राख्न भ्याएछन् त। चुनाव पनि लड्छु भने उनले। तर कुन ठाउँबाट लड्ने चाहिँ निश्चित छैन रे। जनआन्दोलन २ टुंगिएको भोलिपल्टको जुलुसले लगाएको “जालास् कमल हेटौडा, तेरो…..रेटौला” नारा त उनले भुलेका छैनन् होला। कमल थापाको कुरा हेर्ने भए भित्र आउनुस्।

If a real democratic election is going to be held, no person of Nepal having any ideology should be debarred from taking part in it. Who are these commentators to say that only those who are now apparently in power can stand for Constitution Framing Body election? If only those who have snatched away power by hook or by crook,(I mean not by a true popular mandate but by so-called revolution involving tire burning, closures, showing of guns and terrorizing the rural innocent people, there will be no popular election but an imposed and guided show of election. If Sujata with her record of destroying the Nepal Airlines and Govinda Raj Joshi with his back hand financial gains due to taking bribes and those responsible for the utter failure of Melamchi Project can take part in the coming election, Surya Bahadur Thapa, Pashupati Shumsher, Khum Bahadur Khadka, Bhadra Ghale, Padma Sundar Lawati and Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal can also equally stand for election. An impartial popular verdict will result in an impartially conducted adult franchise in which Kamal Thapa, Niranjan Thapa, Prachanda, Babu Ram Bhattarai as well as Krishna Prasad Bhattarai can fight hand in hand with Hisila Yami, Angur Baba Joshi,Pampha Bhusal, Sujata Jost, Shailaja Acharya, Jwala Singh and Bijukche of Bhaktapur. Unless people give their final verdict we cannot stop any Nepalese citizen from standing in this crucial election that is going to set the tone for our future. Let us not bicker over trifling matters. Let us not declare that Nepal is a republic, or a communist or a monarchy by ourselves when we see so many actors of all ideologies and shapes are still busy in their own way inside the country. Let us have patience to wait for the final decision of the Nepalese voters. It is the common people of Nepal who are the real sovereign, not the two-tongued Girija Prasad Koirala who was the first man to salute the New King after the palace massacre by offering a coin like a mean slave. History cannot and should not be forgotten. He is the one who saw the whole massacre and at that time he talked of a “Grand Design”. Why doesn’t he reveal the design to the people yet?
