Heartly Congracullation and Thanks to you. You show our National flag in front of International People. I use to see many Nepalese peoples who feel shy to say the country name where they from? They feel hesitate to pronounce the name “Nepal”. Lets forget others general peoples, See our Leaders who always try to show their own name is synonyms of our country name in front of remote village peole. But Once they go foreign country and when they talk with foreigner, they feel down to say our country name. They never even wear our National dress. They feel shy to wear it. You are totally another side than those kind of poeples who feel down to say our country name, who feel shy with our National dress. You feel proud running with our National flag. You really encourage all Nepalese peoples to show our identity as Nepali. I feel proud on you. When i get any chance to participate anywhere, definitely i will never forget to carry our National Flag and will show to others we are Nepali. ya, I was also there to see the marathon. Suddenly, I see a guy running with Nepali flag. By seeing that my inner heart was so happy,so happy i can not express in words. Nepali flag attracting many peoples mind because it is totally different than other countrys’ flags.I went with him and gave him congracullation.Really, I feel proud seeing my country’s flag in that race. “MY COUNTRY MY PRIDE”.I want to give thanks one more time to Basanta because he show our country flag in another country. I want to request everybody, plz lets represent our country everywhere form where ever we are.

FEW WORDS FROM BASANTA(Participant)
Hi Umesh ji
Thank you for publishing the picture and your kind words. Also special thanks to Mr Shree krishna khanal who took these pictures and posted to my sansar. I should also appreciate and thank Ms Yamuna, MR Shree krishna khanal and Ms Cleon who were on the spot to support me and our country.
Just for everyone’s information, this Marathon Race was organised by Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, and is considered as the biggest Marathoon race till today in Asia. There were about 41,000 participants (both professional and non-professionals). Personally, I am neither a sports-person nor an athelete. However when i heard of this race from my singaporean friends, i simply wanted to challenge myself and also partcipate in the race carrying our national flag representing nepal. Finally the dream came true when I finally crossed the FINISH LINE though it took me about five hours to complete the race. The medal and certificate along with the finisher’s T-shirt were given to all participant who complted the Race in time. Eventhough it is not be a big achievement, but the happiness and satisfaction of completing the International Marathon race along with my national flag will always inspire me in Life and remind me of our nationality wherever I go. Last but not the least, this was truely my small effort to support our national players and leave a message to them that if a normal person like me can complete the Marathon Race, You all can beat anybody in your respective games; Pls try your best! We all are always there to support you.
