Regarding the Madanji’s question… First two birds falls under the birds family(Aves class) and next one (Bat) is the only mammal that has a flying power. May be because of this stark difference we don’t keep bat as a pet. I hope this answers Madanji’s quest.

At a time when people wearing Nepali cap are being hounded out of the tarai, Prashant proudly wore the heahgear that is a symbol of Nepaliness in India.
Dasain boycotts have become the norm in the part of nepal, but is still the main holiday for Indian Nepales. The very symbol of monolithic nationalhood that are being in the post- April-2006 Nepal are indentifier for India’s Nepal- speaking minoroty.
At the level the Prashant Tamang phenomenen showed the current Nepali craving for a feel good story, the need for a knight in shining armour who, even if hecan not rescue us, will make us feel momentarily proud.
At another, it proved the need of national symbol when the mother land itself is being torn apart by certrifugal edentity politics.

I extremely surprised with the behave of the SONY TELEVISION. Yeah there may be mater of royalty or terms but a Artiest can not be a BONDED LABOR. Propitiating to shoot the movie interview SONY had done really shameful as well as silly work coz his movie will never minimize the viewer of their show instead it will free advertise of SONY and their show. meanwhile they may achieve some prestige too.

Agree with Madan and Rajesh ji. But Uttam babu mentioned that the women represent Sony TV did not allow him to focus his handy cam on Prasant Tamang’s face. Watching this video interviw is the reality of Indian attitude towards Nepal and Nepali. This so called body guard or team leader indian women allowed uttam to show his ( Prasant’s) fingers and shoes only, exactly like this Indian Goverment don’t want let the outside world see real Nepal and Nepali face. Puppets like Girija, Makune, Thapa or Bhattarai they even go to India to get permission to harvest Kapas and construct highway and Hydro Electricity power plant. Prasant’s victory in Indian Idol is very symbolic in other way. I am very enthusiastic whether we Nepali will continue this spirit in future in all other issues specially Nepal comes at large or not ? We have so many things to show, Let the people get chance to watch Prasant’s simple but symbolic face.

interesting, natinality and language are different, To be a poet of English u need not be English/British national, a poet of English language is poet of all Englsih speaking people whether they live in South Africa or England or USA, it is the same with case the of Prashnta too, his natiality cannot be an issue for his singing carreer.
