शाही शासनकालमा कहिले नमूना जनमत संग्रह गरेर त कहिले कुकुर र साँढे जुलुस निकालेर चर्चामा आएका पशुपति क्याम्पस चाबहिलका एक चर्चित विद्यार्थी नेता विदेश भासिएको समाचार त्यतिबेला चर्चाको विषय बनेको थियो। एक त देशको राजनीतिक अवस्थामा अन्यौल, त्यसमाथि बूढा नेताहरुले युवाहरुलाई अगाडि आउनै नदिने। त्यही भएर पो हो कि, विद्यार्थी नेताहरु धमाधम विदेश पलायन हुन थालेका छन्। त्यसै पनि नेपालका युवाहरु राजनीतिमा आउन रुचाउँदैनन्, फोहोरी खेल ठान्छन्। त्यसमाथि भएका युवा नेताहरु पनि विदेश भासिन थालेपछि स्थिति कस्तो होला ? यसै विषयमा आजको अन्नपूर्ण पोस्टमा प्रमुख समाचार छापिएको रहेछ।
समाचारमा गत चैतमा नेपाल विद्यार्थी संघको दसौँ महाधिवेशनमा अत्यधिक मतले केन्द्रीय सदस्य निर्वाचित भएका कास्कीका विद्यार्थी नेता सन्तोष पहारी वर्किङ भिसामा दसैँको फूलपातिका दिन अमेरिका गएको र हाल एटलान्टामा कामको खोजीमा रहेको उल्लेख गरिएको छ।
त्यसैगरी समाचारमा म्याग्दी क्याम्पसका स्ववियु सभापति प्रेम सिके, नेविसंघ कास्की जिल्ला अध्यक्ष पूर्ण तिमिल्सिना, तरुण दलका केन्द्रीय सदस्य बलिराम झा पनि राजनीति छाडेर विदेशतिर लागेको उल्लेख छ। सिके अमेरिका र झा र तिमिल्सिना चाहिँ बेल्जियममा विभिन्न काम गरिरहेका रहेछन्।
यी नेताहरु विदेशमा जाने प्रक्रिया चाहिँ यस्तो रहेछ- विद्यार्थी संगठनको प्रतिनिधिका रुपमा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सेमिनारमा जाने, अनि उतै हराउने।
समाचारमा चर्चित विद्यार्थी नेता गगन थापाको भनाई पनि उद्धरण गरिएको छ। उनले भनेका छन्- देश बदल्ने सपना बोकेका युवा विद्यार्थी विदेशिनु गम्भीर कुरा हो। तर त्यसमा उनीहरुलाई मात्र दोष दिनु हुन्न। वर्षौँसम्म राजनीतिमा लागेका युवालाई मौका नदिइएका कारण यस्तो स्थिति आएको हो।
अनेरास्ववियुका ठाकुर गैरेले चाहिँ केही विद्यार्थी नेताले राजनीतिलाई नै विदेश जाने अवसरका रुपमा उपयोग गरेका कारण यस्तो स्थिति आएको बताएका छन्।

The news itself is not that important and I am pretty sure that there are alot of National figure in foreign country in different status. There are many reasons who perfers to come to foreign country, I would like to point out some of them:
a. Tired of being the pet of Political leader.
b. Frustratating situation of Nepalese Politics.
c. The divergence from the public commitments.
d. The financial and family responsibility being more dominant than the future political carrer.
e. Further study.
Apart from this there are can be many reasons but they can not be generalized. But at the same time there are alot of Student Leaders who are in foreign countries for further study where they are pursuing their MS or PhD. I am sure this is not the loss for the country but if they have a unflinching commitment about the democracy in Nepal, they will be back with a good knowledge and experience. At the same time, there should be the culture of welcoming those experts in the Nation in right time.
We people from foreign countries expect this from the Nepalese Government.
“Everybody looks for better oppurtunity-whoever it is”. No wonder to see students leaders in foreign country working like anything.

K garnu ta saathi ho? bhoko pet le rastriya geet gaundaina ta ni. They also have their own life to live. Not always good to become jhole of leaders for no progress in the political ladder. If it would be a fair politics in Nepal those young leaders would not enjoy bhuin puchhai and dekchi drivering abroad. Nevertheless it is not a good indication for the country in the long run.

If the current political leaders were so wise enought to fly abroad and settle there, I think the country would have been better financially and politically. So these student leaders are also the same, they have seen the current leaders and they will do the same as they are doing. Do you think Mr. Gagan Thapa will change the country if he gets chance? no there will be the same thing… so its better to send all those bacteria to some other countries.
Ani kohi bidesh gayo ta k vayo? let me tell you, ahele if every student leader in every major college of Kathmandu and other major cities get chance to apply for US visa or provided an oppertunity to fly to abroad then more than 90 percent will be happy enough.
There is nothing bad about leaving the country. If the young educated people get these kind of oppertunity (leagally or illegally) this will be a contribution for Nepal. There will be change in them, they have to see the world to make Nepal better. They have not seen anything other than voilence and political instablity. They have not heard anything other than MR. Girija or some other jerks. They have the ability to do something by themselves. They should not blame those old ass leaders of not providing the oppertunity to be a leader or come to politics.
Let me make clear I am not into politics and I don know shit about Nepali Politics, and I am not intersted also.
Mr. Gagan Thapa (I am not against him) if he thinks it is not a good idea for student leaders to leave the country, if he thinks they are leaving because the great old leaders are not letting them to do any thing… then he is wrong. No body will let you do any thing. You should do yourself Mr. Thapa. Why should you beg if you have the capability to do any thing for your country. You guys (students) have done a lot for the political issues, you have been used to distruction of the country and they will use you again if there will be need. If you have done whole lot of those things in the past why do you think you have not got chance to do any thing? Why don you go and talk to the people, Nepal neta haru ko hoena Nepal Janata ko ho so tell the people what you want to do and convience them you will make a difference. They will obviously support you, you can win the election, because people are tired of all those people.
Mr. Prachanda and his people are always talking about Naya Nepal… WTF naya nepal ta banai sake yo vanda kati naya chahiyo nepal. Vako manche mari sake.. establish vai sakeko govt offices haru vatkai sake, telephone tower udai sake, the main source of income TOURISM band garai sake, now what else they want to do?
So, students don let them do any thing, make them haters down, and do something. Don wait for them, they wont let you do anything because they all are there for distruction.
I got my middle finger for all those so called NETAS. They all should be hung like saddam hussain.

Life in abroad is not that easy as people think before they land on. However, looking at the system working which lure them to stay and find a way to be here or there. keep it up friend whoever can in principle have ability to do so.

Why to blame. At a time when nobody feels safe both physically and property wise in our country due to maoist highhandedness and many other groups in terai, it is natural people will try to go out for safe living. I think 99.99999% will go to other country if they get opportunity. At a time when one nepali becomes refugee in his own country then what is left to discuss and why to blame these young people who want to do earn some to help family and themselves and also country as our country is solely run now by remittences form people outside the country. Minimum condition for a country to expect people to stay is security of a persona nd property security which is not there at present time in our country.
No body feels safe. Leaders have som many bodyguards to protect but who will protect ordinary people and also small leaders e.g student leaders. I believe that if politics of guns and intimidation is controlled, many people whoare now in outside country will return to their homeland. God bless us from disaster.

Very few have patience that there will be stability and will be able to work in peace. Uncertainty is increasing day by day. I like the Article but I amazed reading of comments from readers. Anything happens in Nepal; blame always goes to Girija, Prachanda, Madav Nepal and other political leaders. I don’t think student leaders went overseas because of political leaders. They chose their personal choices and nobody can stop because of democracy. Anybody remember how hard to get passport during Panchayat time? We all fought to exercise personal choices. I believe being active in politics needs patience like all current political leaders who fought all their life against Panchayat and King’s dictatorships. They never support Panchayat and gave their life for Nepal. Let’s give them break.

How many peoples are trying to get the Visa for overseas in a day? If there are 200 peoples trying for Visa but only out of 200. 10 to 15 are being lucky to get the Visa and if they all get the Visa,think what will be the situation of Nepal?

I think those student leaders who thnink destruction is their student political carrer it is better they leave the country before they destroy further. The case in point students leader burning their own university library in Nepal. There has to be the only Nepali student leaders burn their own university library in the world. I have very little time for these so called student leaders. They understand very little about student leadership. Student leaders must have intellectual capacity to deal with university administration to argue for the better education environment for the fellow students not the carry bags for their political master.

why should they stay in nepal? where is no security for people only for leader who have power they can live .when they lose they cannot go out like kamal thapa and prachanda, girija, serbahadur.it is the country for those who can kill the people and who can rule the currupted people . so what evere they (student)decided that is good for them and theire family.

it is easy to blame other. but it is not good pattern that going to participate in Conference and run away from there. it is shame of the contry. who did it? why did it? doesnot matter. if they donot like politics, they should not join. be a good student and make a good carrier. it may help him or her and nation as well.
