हामीमाथि विखण्डनवादी, सम्प्रदायवादी, विदेशीको इसारामा हिँडेको आरोप लगाइन्छ। तर वास्तवमा विखण्डनवादी त ती हुन् जो अरुको कुरा सुन्न चाहँदैनन्। सम्प्रदायवादी ती हुन् जो आफ्नै मात्र समुदायको बर्चस्व चाहन्छन्। हामी समतावादी हौँ। मधेसीहरु असमानताको शिकार बनाइएका छन्र त्यसैले हामी मधेसवादी हौँ। हामी परिवर्तनवादी हौँ। हामी वर्तमान अवस्थामा बस्न चाहँदैनौँ। पहिचान मेटाउनु, दबाएर राख्नु एकताको आधार हुन सक्दैन। यो युग जोड्ने युग हो तोड्ने होइन। वर्षौँदेखि आपसमा लडिरहेका राष्ट्र जातजातिहरु एक अर्कालाई स्वीकार गरेर बस्न खोजिरहेका छन्। हामीलाई स्वीकार गर्दा हामी अस्वीकार गर्दैनौँ तर हामी आफ्नो पहिचानर स्वाभिमानको रक्षा गर्न दृढ छौँ। त्यसैले हाम्रो एउटै मात्र भनाई छ हरथोक साझा तर सबैमा आधा।

देश र मधेश दुवै अहिले युगान्तकारी परिवर्तनको पर्खाइमा छन्। आज देशका जनता सर्वसत्तावादीहरुको अन्त्य गरी सार्वभौमसत्ता सम्पन्न हुन चाहन्छन्। राजकीय सत्ता लगायत सम्पूर्ण शक्तिको स्रोत आफ्नो हातमा लिई आफ्नो सर्वोच्चता स्थापित गर्न चाहन्छन्। तर यति मात्रै जनताको चाहना होइन। जनताको वास्तविक चाहना हो सबै प्रकारको शोषणको अन्त्य र यसको जरोको समाप्ति।
ऐतिहासिक र अभूतपूर्व ऐक्यवद्धतापूर्ण मधेस आन्दोलन र प्रातःस्मरणीय मधेसका महान उत्सर्गी ४२ सपुतहरुको रगतले दिएको सन्देश यही हो। तर शासकको रुपमा परिणत राजनैतिक शक्तिहरु जनताको यस पवित्र चाहनामाथि तुषारापात गराउन उद्दत छन्। परिणामस्वरुप सिमान्तकृत मधेसी समुदाय, आदिवासी दलित, जनजाति, महिलामाथि भइरहेको चौतर्फी शोषण र भेदभाव कालक्रमका साथ संस्थागत हुँदै गइरहेको छ। तर हाम्रा सहीदहरुको रगत खेर जाने छैन। उहाँहरुको शहादतले दिएको सन्देश पूरा गर्न हामी कृतसंकल्प छौँ। हाम्रो यात्राको पवित्र लक्ष्य पनि यही हो। यात्रा संघर्षपूर्ण भए पनि हाम्रो विजय निश्चित छ। यस विजययात्रामा सहयात्री बन्न हामी सबै मधेस अधिकारवादीहरुलाई हार्दिक आमन्त्रण गर्दछौँ। धेरै अबेर भइसक्यो अब पर्खाइमा पर्नु हुन्न। लक्ष्यप्रति अग्रसर हुनु नै आजको एक मात्र आवश्यकता हो।
मधेस आफ्नो पहिचान अधिकार र स्वाभिमानका लागि संघर्षमा जुटेको छ। वस्तुतः यो संघर्ष मुक्तिको लागि संघर्ष हो। भेदभावपूर्ण अौपनिवेशिक शासनको अन्त्यको लागि संघर्ष हो।
शाहवंशीय शासकहरुले पहाडी राज्य जितेका थिए। उनीहरुले पहाडमा आफ्नो शासन प्रशासन पनि क्षेत्रीय रुपमा नै चलाए। तर तराई मधेसमा उनीहरुले अौपनिवेशिक शासकको रुपमा शासन गरे। शासन प्रशासन तथा आर्थिक विकासका कार्यक्रममा मधेसीहरुलाई सहभागी गराएनन्। मधेस र मधेसीलाई भने उपेक्षित राखे। लोकतन्त्रका लागि आन्दोलनमा मधेसीहरु सदैव संघर्षशील रही सहभागी भए तर शक्तिको ढाँचा पावर स्ट्रक्चरमा कुनै परिवर्तन आएन। राजनैतिक आर्थिक तथा रोजगारको क्षेत्रमा मधेसी, महिला, दलित, आदिवासी, जनजाति उपेक्षित भए। शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, सामाजिक सेवाको क्षेत्रमा पछाडि परे। शासन-प्रशासनमा सहभागिता घट्दै गयो। आवाज उठाउँदा विखण्डनवादी र साम्प्रदायिक भनियो। नेपाली राष्ट्रियता र नेपाली संस्कृतिलाई परिभाषित गर्दा पनि मधेसीहरुलाई टाढा राखियो। एउटा भाषा र एउटा भेषमा राष्ट्रियता देख्ने प्रयास भयो। निरंकुश राजतन्त्रमा राष्ट्रियता देख्ने प्रयास भयो। महेन्द्रवादी मण्डले राष्ट्रवाद अर्थात् भारत विरोधमा आधारित राष्ट्रवादको निशाना बन्यो मधेश, बेधिए र ज्यान गुमाए मधेसीहरुले। मधेसीहरु नागरिक बनेर राष्ट्रियतालाई राष्ट्रिय बनाउन खोजे, शासन प्रशासनमा सेना र पुलिसमा भर्ना भई राष्ट्रका यी संगठनहरुलाई राष्ट्रिय रुप दिन खोजे। संसदमा आफ्नो भाषामा बोल्न खोजे। आफ्नो भेषभुषामा आउन खोजे तर नारायणहिटीदेखि सिंहदरबारसम्म राज्यको हरेक अंगमा उपेक्षित र अपमानित हुनुपर्यो। शिर निहुराएर मुख थुनेर बस्न बाध्य बनाउने वातावरण तयार गरियो। आफ्नै घरखेत खलिहानमा आफ्नै जग्गा जमिन भूमिमा विदेशी ठानिएको पीडा भोग्नु पर्यो। खण्डित राष्ट्रियता र अन्ध राष्ट्रवादको तरवार सबै ठाउँमा मधेसीहरुको शिरमाथि झुण्ड्याइयो। यो क्रम अहिले पनि जारी छ। भर्खरै चीरप्रतिक्षित सात दलीय २३ सूत्रीय सहमति सार्वजनिक भएङ्को छ। यसका लागि संविधान सभाको चुनाव स्थगित गराइयो। राष्ट्रको ढुकुटी खेर फालियो तर प्राप्ति ऋणात्मक नै रह्यो। सत्ता र पदको बाँडफाँड बाहेक अरु केही भएन। मधेसीहरुलाई सम्बोधित गर्ने तराई मधेसका जनताको आकांक्षालाई नियाल्ने, वास्तविकतालाई बुझ्ने चाहनाको झलक पनि देखिएन।
अब मधेसीहरु शिर निहुराएर होइन, शिर ठाडो गरेर बाँच्न चाहन्छन्। आफ्नो घरखेत खलिहान जग्गा जमिनको व्यवस्थापन आफै गर्न चाहन्छन्। मधेसीहरु मधेसी सरकार चाहन्छन्। कार्यपालिका, व्यवस्थापिका, न्यायपालिका चाहन्छन्। शासन प्रशासन पुलिस सेनामा मधेसीहरु देख्न चाहन्छन्। लैंगिक, वर्गीय, जातीय, शोषण र सबै प्रकारका असमानताको अन्त्य चाहन्छन्।
हाम्रो माटोको मधेसी शहीदहरुको रगतको यही प्रण हो। हाम्रो कदम त्यसैले अरु कसैको इसारामा होइन यही माटो र शहीदको रगतको निर्देशनमा उठाइएको कदम हो। त्यसैले हामी गौरवान्वित छौँ। यसमा पश्चतापको कहीँ कतै गुञ्जाइस छैन। आफ्नो जनता माटो र बलिदानका विपरीत हिँड्नेहरु पछुताउँछन्। न्याय र सत्यका लागि कदम उठाउनेहरु गर्व गर्छन् र मात्र गर्व गर्छन्।
यस लक्ष्य प्राप्तिका लागि सामन्ती वर्चस्ववाद र शोषणको पृष्ठपोषक राजतन्त्रको अन्त्य जरुरी छ। समता र लोकतन्त्रको अभ्यास जरुरी छ। त्यसैले तराई मधेस लोकतान्त्रिक पार्टीको लक्ष्य छ गणतन्त्रात्मक लोकतान्त्रिक सघीय नेपाल र आत्मनिर्णयसहितको स्वशासित तराई मधेस- एक प्रदेश।

i studied this Information and feel as we are going to change in another world.To say we need nothing at all,but to manage the saying,we need that much power which seems not collected by such Leaders.I am really pessmistic of such leaders who had done in earlier time about the welfare of madhesis people.

Great Job Thakur Jee!! Keep it up. I saw many comments asking why Thakur Jee raised his voice for Madhes now? He was in Power for long time in Congress Party. The simple answer is why Madhesi people is asking for it now. Before also there are few Top Leaders, Top Administrators etc are in Government from Madhesi people but their number is too little and their Voice didn’t make any sense at that time and suppressed by Pahadi Leaders who are everywhere rulling the country. Now when common Madhesi people want their right in the state and they are really looking for some one who can lead Madhesh in good way and then Thakur Jee came to join hand and this is great. The person who write non-sense about him should think that he Left “Minister position” to join this and also he was among the Top leader of Congress. Thakur Jee, you are doing great. We all Madhesi people are with you to fight for Madhes and Madhesi and get their correct position in state.

Any one who is saying Madhesi leader are separists are puratanbadi. This mentality is developed by feudal royal dynasty and superior class who ruled Nepal awakwardly from hundred century agoes. Those people who sold koshi and karnali and tanakpur they called patriotic because they superior ruling class pahadis. All current political leader ( 7 parties) who obey every single order from our big brother from our south block they are still patroitic may be they need to have order even to drink cup of tea.Why because they are ruling class pahadi from centuries.
But if Madhesi people ask for their right ofcourse these people who is cheating this country from centuries called madhesi people separist. Because they have been soaking state like their fathers property so ofcourse in even new democracy they dont want to loose it. These soaking people (like leech) never never teach terai people are Nepalis. If you want to develop Nepal we have to develop terai and pahad both.Terai people are discriminated deprieved from their right. And even if I am terai people I would have done same now what terai leader is doing.
This is 21 century and I read some of the comments from abroad they are saying terai leader is going to make Nepal as a sikkim what same puratan badi thinking! If those guys who is saying this things from abroad eg in America if some american people come and say him you Nepalese people you are foreigner you dont have right to do like this and that how he is going to feel??? But I have experiences in various part of Nepal that Madhesi people facing these kind of discriminate in their daily life. How those my beloved terai brother and sister feel??? when they face these kind of discriminate how they feel I can only imagine. But the problem here is not the pahadi brother the root of problem is ruling dynasty never never teach terai is part of Nepal and all terai people is Nepali. They exploit lot for terai but they afraid to bring them in mainstream because those ruling people over greedy they dont want to share state income with others.So I wish Martin Luther king must come from Terai (great leader) who can not only obtain terai people right also get trust from all nepali people and develop as a whole nation.

First, I agree with Ritesh Pradhan. Mahanta thakur and Co.left their respective parties to make a medheshi-loktantric party only when we Madhesis people are growing strong. What these leaders have done to Madhes when they were in their prev. parties, where had their sense gone, why they didn’t think of madhes that time. They say, and which is correct as well,we madhesis have been suppressed by the state since Shah regime;my question is why they didn’t voice for madhesis since they come to know this fact, why now. The answer is patent: They see clear prospect of being a top leader of a region but I seriously doubt they do anything for the betterment of downtrodden madhesi people. And why half (aadha) to some group. why not do away with any reservation. why not be impartial and objective in all the jobs and appointments offered–private or government. But this is not going to happen anytime soon. No leader thinks seriously about Nepal, they just ride in the wave of popularity for wrong reasons.

Tell me who is not sufferer in Nepal. That is why the Nepalease leaders move with begging bowl to every part of the world asking resources that will improve their living condition. Unfortunately the collected fund is used by these leaders, from Shah dynasty, Rana Regimes, Parties in power or outside, in their personal uplifting rather than for the good of the people. However, now the people, the educated, the ables from Terai, Pahad, Gaun Besi, Nagar, Kholcha, Danda have taken steps to counter the bad effects of the political zealots. Somewhere down the horizon, there are some who do not want Nepalease make good progress, instead want them to be involved in petty issues and pick up fight among each other. The economic turnover of the country is now taking a good stride from the contributions from the hard work of braves of the nations, be they from pahad or terai, Jumla or Jajarkot or Janakpur or Siraha. Ask any of these hard working people if they are happy with whatever is happening in the country, zone, village or Nagar.
Recognition comes from hard positive work done for the community, not from pretending to work for it. I would suggest these leaders get more involved in the education and upbringing of the poor mass instead of instigating them for agitating that produces counter effect.
I am from Terai and I am proud of it. But now I am ashamed of my uprising negatively driven leaders who have done nothing for me ( a terai living) yet claim superiority over me. Look at the way they jumped to the status, for their own good, not for the mass, who are basically unaware of their sheepskin covered wolf leaders.
I would not follow these kind of leaders but look to see how Upendra Mahato got billion dollars from his hard work. He is Madhise too.

In my view, due to Terai issue, there is big gap between Teraimul and Pahadiyamul even though they are educated, they were best friends, they are neighbour. Mahanta Takur is the leader, now my questions to my all educated friends who had supported to Mahanta Thakur and believe that there should be same changes,
1. What you think if TERAI WILL BE A SEPARATE STATE
THEN OTHERS WILL KEEP QUIET.If Terai people has
not, then Nepal will divide, you want this??
2. People who are living in Humla or Jumla are they
Madeshi or Pahadi? and see their life and compare
with Terai life.
3. Now, there is a gap between educated people due
to Terai and Pahade but they were living
together, is Mahanta Thakur wants this?
4. Ok, Terai will be separate state then where the
people who are Pahade origin go?
5. In ADMINSTRATION, there are few Madishe, then
why?, only few people came to face LOK SEWA EXAM,
see in NEPAL ELECTRICITY, FOREST DEPARTMENT,
HEALTH DEPARTMENT, who are more, TERAI BASI are
more. It is due to the people interest. In Terai
business, Pahade are less then what Pahade have
to fight to get right for busienss, no, it is the
matter of interest.
See Hridesh Tripathi, he was communist, then Sadhvawana, the Sadhvawana Anand devi, he was minster also now he is with Mahanta Thakur because he did not get what he want for him. He was mininster what he did for MADESHA and MADHISE. He is one of the EDUCATED NON-SENSE NEPALI SON who is trying to kill his own MOTHER-NEPAL.

If Thakur was realiable politician why he could not resined earlier decades from Nepali congress. But in last moment he give up from Nepali Congress. I mean we should repect Tarai issues and should act.Some of Tarai leaders were demanding the first priority of talk with government is only resignation of Home Minister. That is so there is also weakness of government. It might be without Krishna Sitaula, Giriza Babu could not handle the situation.Giriza Babu was a great politician of the country but He has disability to fire to Home Minister,it is congtrovertial thing and now Tarai violation became more costly than Maoists conflict (1996-2006). Even seven parties and seven parties leaders are not capable to fire Home Minister, it is our Nepal. Situala’s nature look like a Chheparo, so he could political capability to cool down to all seven parties leaders and legislatures. .. Well… better later than never, I would say in case of Mahant Thakur.
I think it is good sign that some powerful mainstream politicians like Thakur have taken up the madhesi issues. Else the some criminal gun-totting gangs who copy murderous acts of maoists were gaining ground.
Having said that, there is always a fine balance when you fight for rights and dignity. The leaders must care for any of the pahadi brethern migrated in Terai. They are madhesis too – probably more than the madhesis who live in kathmandu or else where. Madhesis quest for equality and dignity should not be soiled with ethnic or racial confontrations. Madhesis while they will support the leadersin their effort, they will confront any harm to other fellow nepalese.
Madhesis should think of martin Luther king not follow likes of Rawanda or SriLanka.

First of all, congratulation to tarai- Madhes loktantrik party and its leaders.All demands raised by this party is genune and those must be fullfiled by the authorities othewise they should be ready to leave the country and return to their home country India or bhutan wherefrom they came (the so-called bahun-nepali).A very few people are in the against of Madhes and madhesi’s demand.I would like to claim that they are not only the enimies of madhesi’s but also whole nepalese.But I request this party and its leaders to go ahead including all fighters groups and others parties who are active in the Madhes, we all madhesis are ready to give our blood and whatever this party needs to establish madhesi’s government and its wings.Thank you very much TMP.

Mr Thakur, I respect your leadership and your team. We need change. We need equallity between all races. We are tired of one superior cast ruling Nepal for centuries and other races deprieved from oppurtunity from state.And I tell u Mr Thakur if we give to rule this country again to this same superior cast Nepal will never go up always go down. There will not be new Nepal.Because if they can develop Nepal they would have done long time ago already but they rule how many century Nepal is going down and down.Every single country in Asia 10 to 15 years before they are poorer than us but now they are rich and we are going poorer and poorer.This superior class are very greedy and they are not patroitic at all.They dont have quality to run country they have only quality to spoil country like they want to do bhag banda of state income and donation given by international community nati panati samma ko lagi.
So I want to suggest all terai leader its time for change so new nepal should manage by terai leader I mean terai leader should be president and respectively prime minister and other hilly janajati and lower cast should be included in goverment.For New Nepal my suggestion is:
Terai must represent 40% in every aspect of state
Hilly janajati 30%
Lower cast 20% from terai and hilly region
This supercast only10%
so it will be really samabesi democracy and I believe Terai leader can drastically improve the lively hood of terai people and as a whole Nepal there is no any doubt about it. After ten years there will be great change in our nation because terai leader and all janjati leaders are not selfish like those leader who run this country centuries.They will always sacrifice their efforts to develop new nepal selflessly.

MY SUGGESTION IS TO ISOLATE MADHESH, SO THAT THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEPAL WILL BE FASTER. THE MADHESH PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY OBSTRUCTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEPAL. THE ACHIEVEMENT FROM THE JANA ANDOLANA IS IN SHADOW DUE TO CRUEL AND NON PATRIOTIC MADHESHI LEADER AND SHEEP LIKE MADHESHI PEOPLE. I AM CONFUSED WHY THE MADHESHI PEOPLE ARE FOLLOWING THEIR BASTARD LEADER WHO WANT TO ISOLATE MADHESH AND INCLUDE IN INDIA, ALTHOUGH THAT WILL NOT BENEFICIAL TO MADHESHI PEOPLE THEMSELVES.
THERE IS AN OLD PROVERB: “THE ROTTEN APPLES WILL CAUSE THE WHOLE BUNCH OF APPLE ROTTEN, BETTER TO REMOVE THE ROTTEN APPLES”.LET US TRY TO FOLLOW THIS RULE, OTHERWISE THE WHOLE COUNTRY WILL TEND TO DESTRUCTION……………..

मैले बुझ्न नसकेको कुरा मधेशी भनेको को ? नेपाली शब्दकोशअनुसार त मधेशको अर्थ ‘नेपालको दक्षिणी भागमा रहेको समथर जमिन; तराई’ हुन्छ (हेर्नुहोस् http://www.nepalisabdakos.com) । अब अहिले आएर मधेशको अर्थ अर्कैजस्तो लाग्न थालेको छ ।
मैले जान्ने बुझ्ने भएदेखि मलाई लाग्थ्यो म पनि एक मधेशी हुँ । पुर्ख्यौली घर काठमाडौं भएपनि मधेशमा जन्मिएको, हुर्किएकोले म आफूलाई पनि मधेशी नै ठान्थें । साथीभाईले पनि मधेशी भनी जिस्क्याउँथे, तर मलाई केही अपमानबोध हुँदैनथ्यो, अनि रिस उठ्दैनथ्यो । तर अहिले आएर ‘पहाडिया’ पो भएछु । साथीभाईले पनि जिस्क्याउन छाडे ।
ठाकुरजी (अनि सबै ‘मधेशी’ आन्दोलनकारी) लाई मेरो मेरो प्रश्न छ, यदि तपाईंको ‘मधेश’ले यादव, ठाकुर, अन्सारी, त्रिपाठी, मिश्र, कर्ण, साहजस्ता जातिहरूको वस्तीलाई मात्र जनाउँछ भने त्यो एकदम गलत हो । त्यहाँ शाह, श्रेष्ठ, थापा, गुरुङ, लामा, विश्वकर्मा, कोइरालाजस्ता जातिहरूको पनि उत्तिकै उपस्थिति छ ।
तपाईहरूले भन्न खोज्नु भएको शोषण, भेदभाव, दमन, अत्याचार, उपेक्षा, असमानता तपाईको ‘मधेशी’ले मात्र भोग्नुपरेको छ भने त्यो बिलकुल गलत अनि एकतर्फी कुरामात्र हुनेछ । के तपाईंको ‘मधेशी’को घरखेत वस्तीमा ‘पहाडियाहरू’ (तपाईहरूकै अर्थमा) ज्याला मजदुरी गर्न गर्दैनन् ?
के तपाईले टीभीमा भएपनि हुम्ला, जुम्लाका ‘पहाडिया’हरूलाई हेर्नुभएको छ । छैन भने शनिबार एउटा ‘पहाडिया’ चलचित्र ‘कागबेनी’ प्रदर्शन हुँदैछ । त्यो गएर हेर्नुहोला । केही भएपनि तपाईंलाई वास्तविकताको बोध हुनेछ । यदि थाहा छ भने यो आन्दोलन किन ? ‘भाई फुटे गँवार लुटे’ भन्ने उखान त सुन्नुभएकै होला । सबै मिलेर भ्रष्टाचार, निरंकुशताको विरुद्धमा एकभएर लागौं न ! समयको माग पनि यही नै हो ।

In positive sense this is the suggestion, request and essential demands for the Madhesh. But on negative sense this is possible warning to the Nepal government who does not want to listen just trying to avoid. So it is better to adress on time otherwise the Madhesh poltics and voilent will be out of control and Nepal has to face just like Moists insurgents.

To be secured being Srilanka (a victim of RAW), better to give a new state for Mahanta and his team. My proposal :—annouce the new state to 10 no federal state classified by Mangalsiddhi in this blog few days before. New state Mithila President Mahanta.

Neither you thought about it nor you respond the demand of the Madheshi people in your political career with Nepali Congress. I do not think you have that potential to lead the Madhesi people to the extent as their demand has gone far ahead, probably beyond your reach. Yes I agree some handful of people have chosen you to lead the region which I think not because you deserve that right instead they think that their alliance becomes more stronger if leaders come to shake hands with this common goal. And you have gone there at a time when people are nearly reached their goal suggesting that you are still playing politics as a opportunist. Yopu wish to exist with this agenda but your narrow minded thinking must not exist and that is not healthy thinking for a diverse nation at least in the longer term, as I see. Do not ask rights with a government which itself is not powerful enough that makes such a major decision. All major decisions must be made by the elected parliment after election. There must not be situation of give and take i.e. why the present government which in your word is dominated by Bahun, chhetri and Newars the madheshis or zanazatis as recipient.
