लामो समयपछि ज्ञानेन्द्र शाहले पुनः मुख खोलेका छन् । धेरै भएको थियो ज्ञानेन्द्रले अन्तर्वार्ता नदिएको तर अन्तरिम संसदले नेपाललाई संघीय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र घोषणा गरी त्यसको कार्यान्वयन मात्र संविधान सभाको पहिलो बैठकले गर्ने गरी अन्तरिम संविधान संशोधन गरिसकेपछि र संविधान सभाको निर्वाचनको लागि वातावरण तात्दै गएपछि राजावादी पत्रकारका रुपमा चिनिएका हरि लम्साललाई अन्तर्वार्ता दिएका छन् । गत शुक्रबार दरबारभित्र गरिएको अन्तर्वार्तामा ज्ञानेन्द्रले चुप बस्नु पनि रणनीति अर्न्तर्गत कै कुरा हो भनेका छन् । चुप लागेर बस्नुको पनि धेरै अर्थ रहेको र जसले बुझेको छ, बुझेको तर कसैले बुझ पचाए जस्तै लागेको बताएका छन् । आफ्ना बाउ महेन्द्रको शालिक भत्काएकोमा कुनै गुनासो नदेखाएर पुर्खा पृथ्वीनारायण शाहको अपमान गरिएकोमा आपत्ति जनाएका छन् । ज्ञानेन्द्रको विचार उनकै मुखबाट ।
-ज्ञानेन्द्र शाह, नारायणहिटी दरबार-
हामी चुप लागेर बसेको पनि शान्ति सम्झौता भएर शान्ति प्रक्रिया सफल पार्न नै हो । मुलुक कुन अवस्थातिर गइरहेको छ, कस्तो दिशातिर डोरिएको छ, किन अस्तव्यस्त भइरहेको छ भन्ने कुरातिर नेपाली जनताले नै बोल्नु र भन्नुपर्यो । कहिल्यै पनि राजसंस्थाले शक्ति खोजेको छैन । राजसंस्थाको इतिहासमा यस्ता क्षणहरु कति आए-कति गए, नेपाली जनताको चाहना अनुसार नेपाली राजसंस्था चलेको छ र त्यतै तिर लागेको छ
मैले सुनेको र ज्ञात नभएको होइन, जनता पनि बोल्न सकेका छैनन्, विभिन्न कारणले । प्रजातान्त्रिक तौर तरिकाका नाममा बेढंगबाट देशको भौतिक संरचना नास गर्ने कुरा प्रजातान्त्रिक भएन जस्तो लाग्दछ । कसैले पनि कुनै बेला जनतालाई टेक फर ग्रान्टेड गर्न हुँदैन ।
शान्ति होस्, प्रजातन्त्र रहोस्, राष्ट्रियता बलियो बनोस् । कुन किसिमको राजनीतिक व्यवस्था नेपाली जनताले चाहन्छन्, त्यो नेपाली जनताको चाहनामा हुनुपर्दछ त्यो नेपाल र नेपालीलाई सुहाउँदो हास् । नेपालीको शिर ठाडो पारेर हिँड्ने व्यवस्था होस् । अस्थिरतालाई सुल्झाउने कुरा पनि प्रजातान्त्रिक तौर तरिकाबाट होस् भन्ने चाहना हो ।
साइलेन्स अल्सो एक्सन । चुप लागेका मात्र छैनौँ । त्यसको धेरै अर्थ छ । जसले बुझेको छ, बुझेका छन् । कसैले बुझ पचाए जस्तै लाग्छ । नेपाली जनताको आफ्नै पन छ । त्यसैमा राजसंस्थाको विश्वास छ । सहरको कुरा गरेर मात्र हुँदैन । डाँडाकाँडामा दुःख पाएर रहेका नेपालीलाई उत्तिकै महत्व दिइनु पर्दछ ।
राजसंस्था नेपाल एकीकरणभन्दा पनि पुरानो संस्था हो । राजसंस्था पहिला पनि थियो । राष्ट्रनिर्माता श्री ५ पृथ्वीनारायण शाहबाट नेपालको एकीकरण गरिबक्स्यो, मौसुफबाट एकीकरण नभएको भए आज हामी कहाँ हुन्थ्यौँ ? राष्ट्रनिर्मातालाई बेइज्जत गर्ने कुरा आफूलाई र राष्ट्रलाई बेइज्जत गरेको जस्तो लाग्छ । हामीले नै ककसलाई कति ठाउँ दियौँ, त्यसको सम्झनाभन्दा पनि दोष अरुलाई दिनेभन्दा पनि आफूलो सुधार्ने बानी बसाल्नु पर्दछ कि ?
राजसंस्थालाई अगाडि बढाउने प्रयासमा नेपाली जनता नै अग्रसर हुनुपर्दछ । नेपालको छाति यति गहिरो र फराकिलो छ , जहाँ सबै नेपाली अटाउँछन् ।हामीले दर्ुइ वर्षअगाडि गर्न खोजेको प्रयास पनि २०४७ साल कै नेपाल अधिराज्यको संविधानअनुसार नै जनताको नासो जनतालाई फर्काउने प्रयास प्रजातान्त्रिक तौरतरिकाबाट गरेकै हो । माओवादीले प्रयोग गरेका उपायहरु बारे खुसी थिएनौँ । त्यसैले हामीले कुनै न कुनै किसिमबाट जनताको माग बमोजिम शान्ति प्रयासमा लागेका हौँ । सफल हुन सकेनौँ । हामीले त्यो मान्नै पर्छ । त्यसको नतिजा अहिले राष्ट्र र जनताले भोगिरहेको जस्तो लाग्छ। हामीले कोसिस गरेको प्रयास ठीकै थियो, कुनै न कुनै रुपले प्रमाणित हुँदै गएको छ कि जस्तो लागेको छ । राजसंस्था राजनीतिमा सरोकारै राख्दैन, राख्नु पनि हुँदैन । नेपाली जनताले जस्तो चाहना गर्छन्, राजसंस्थालाई त्यतैतिर ढाल्नुपर्दछ र त्यसअनुसार अगाडि बढाउनु पर्दछ । प्रजातन्त्र कमजोर भएको छ त्यसैले राजतन्त्र र प्रजातन्त्रको बलियो सम्बन्ध बढाउनु र बढ्नु परेको छ।

What King said or not is not important. Right now he is out of the national politics. However, there is always a possibility of retaining the power, if we nepalese are going to expect solutions to all individual problems within a short time. Before inviting another crisis in the name of regional and racial independency lets unite and make our country strong. Otherwise, Raaja aau Desh Bachaau. आफु शक्तीमा रहँदा जनता भनेका भेडाबाख्रा जमात हुन जस्लाई हामीले चाहेको बखत स्वविवेकिय ढँगले परिचालन् र दमन गर्न सक्छौ भन्ने कलुशित भावना रहेको र आफु कमजोर रहेको अवस्थामा जनतलाई नै पुकार्ने र जनसर्वोच्चताको ओठेवोली फट्कालेर बोल्ने पूरानो परम्पराको निरन्तरता मात्रा हो भन्ने मेरो बुझाई हो । यो परम्पराको थालनी यही मिती वाटै भयो भन्ने एकिन नभएपनी जनताले विश्वाश गरेका मुर्ध्यन्य नेता देखी सामान्य नेताले गाँसै पिच्छे उच्चारण गर्ने “जनाताको लागि” अनी राजाले बोल्ने “प्यारा देशबासी” को सफल्तम् प्रयोगलाई पून: राजाले निरन्तरता दिए । जनता जो सुकैले होस मेरो नाम सम्म त लियो भनेर मख्ख हुनु पर्ने अवस्था छ ।
यहाँ खगेन्द्र सङ्रौलाको लेखको एक अँश उल्लेख गर्न मन लाग्यो-”आजको नेपाललाई चहिएको वोधिव्रक्षमुनी पलेटी कसेर ज्ञान निम्ती तपस्या गर्ने गौतमा बुद्ध होईन । नत हामीलाई चहिएको तरवारको मात्र भाषा बुझ्ने जब्बरस्वाँट जँगबहादुर नै हो । हामीलाई चाहिएको त सामन्ती बँशबादको पत्रुपुच्छर समातेर भुईफुट्टा छोरी लाई मन्त्री नबनाउने नयाँ गिरिजा प्रसाद कोईराल हो । हामीलाई चाहिएको यथार्थ धरातलमा खडा भै आफ्नो बस्तविक सिमा,सामर्थ्य र सँभावना बुझेर सरल भाषामा बिबाद सँवाद र प्रतिस्पर्धाको राजनीति गर्ने नयाँ प्रचन्ड हो । र हामी लाई चहिएको प्रधानमन्त्री को कुर्सिमा आसिन हुन नारणहिटी र दिल्ली दरवारमा बिन्तिपत्र हाल्दै दिनको तीन पटका कुरा नफेर्ने माधव कुमार नेपाल हो । ”
अब पनि नेताको बुद्धी फिर्केन भने जनता नेतालाई काँधमा राखेर मरेको सिनो झै दुर्घिन्दित बातावरण बनाउन चाहदैनन । नेतालाई जनताले उनिहरुको पूरानो गल्तिलाई धेरै पल्ट हँसमुख भएर माफ दीइसकेका छन । र केही गर्लान भनेर अगाडि लागाएका छन । नेताहरुले पून: गल्ती दोहोर्याएमा जनाताको मनमा जव विकल्पको खोजी हुन्छ तव कुनै अर्को शक्ती यसरी नै जनतालाई साक्षी राख्दै आफ्नो वाटो समात्छ ।

त्यसो त तर खान पल्केको बिरालोले त्यसै कहाँ कुँडे छोड्छ र – त्यसलाई छ अगुल्टाले हिर्काएर लखेटे जस्तै ज्ञाने खलकलाई पनि पछाडीबाट टिन ठटाउँदै नखेदेसम्म यो देशमा शान्ति हुँदैन । तर्राईमा पनि आगो बल्न छोड्दैन ।
हाम्रा हजुरबाले रणबहादुर शाहले महिलाहरुलाई गर्ने बलत्कार देखे भोगे, रानीहरु गगनसिँह खवाससित पल्केको पनि देखे भोगे, प्रजातन्त्रको नाममा आँफै सत्तामा बस्ने प्रपञ्च पनि देखे भोगे, विकासका नाममा लादिएको पञ्चायती व्यवस्था त हामी आँफैले भोग्यौं । त्यो व्यवस्थामा जिम्मुवालहरुले गरिबलाई दिने दुःख त झन कहालिलाग्दो थियो । तीनीहरुलाई सँरक्षण गरेको यिनै शाहले होईन -
बीरेन्द्रको मन्दविष शासन व्यवस्था पनि देख्यौं । जनताको प्यारो जस्तो भएर देशलाई विकास हुन नदिने र नेपालमा परिवर्तन नपचाउने उनको बानी थियो । दाजुको वंशविनास पछि उदाएको ज्ञानेले दाजु जस्तो टुलुटुलु हेरेर बस्न सक्दिनँ भन्थ्यो । केही महिना त बुझें बुझें भन्यो । आन्दोलन सफल भएपछि दाजु भन्दा पनि निरीह भएर टुलुटुलु हेरिरहेको थियो । अहिले आएर फेरी प्वाक्क बोलेछ । यसको बोलीमा धेरै शँका मान्नुपर्ने कुरा छ । नेपालीहरु सावधान हुनुपर्ला है । जतिबेला पनि जो पनि फेरी भुमिगत हुनुपर्ने अवस्था आउनसक्छ । किनकी कट्वाल उसकै जुठोपुरो खाएर हर्ुर्केको हो । कमल थापाहरु जोगी जुलुसबाट निरँकुशता लाद्ने प्रयास शुरु गर्दैछन् । त्यसैको अन्तिम कार्ड ज्ञानेन्द्रको अन्तरवार्ता हो ।
अन्य साथीहरुले जुन ज्ञानेको विचारमा सहमत भएको कुरा गर्नुभएको छ । त्यो तपाईंहरुको भ्रम मात्रै हो । किनकी दर्ुइ सय ५० वर्षपुरानो सामन्ती शासनको जरोटुप्पो उखेलेर समावेशी व्यवस्थामा प्रवेश गर्दा साना तिना बाधा अड्चनहरु त आईहाल्छन् नी । महिलालाई पीडा हुन्छ भनेर महिना पुगेको बच्चा नजन्माउँदा के होला – अथवा महिलाले पीडा हुन्छ भनेर बच्चै जन्माएनन भने सृष्टि कसरी चल्ला – देश लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्रको प्रसव पीडामा रहेको बेला अहिले आमाको भुमिकामा रहेका नेताहरुलाई गाली गर्नुभन्दा पनि गणतन्त्रलाई कसरी छिटो जन्माउने हो भन्ने तिर लाग्ने की
सबैलाई चेतना भया !

If all of us are really really true to ourselves… you have to say, King’s interview did make us question our position, even for a quick blink.
I am not saying that King is right… and although he had months to plan about his speech… his interview certainly has the power to unify us. I mean, we might not want to be under HIM… but his message of Nepalese soldarity and brotherhood made me feel something.
If you recall one of Umesh’s eariler post about Prachand’s refrences to our Amry head you can see a lack of culture, self-realization and self-control. The same lack of self-realization and descipline can be seen in protests and strickes. It’s like all of us are suffering from Depression AND Bi-polar disorder. We are unhappy and very very implusive. I dont like to blame our leaders but they are not feeling too secure about their position either. And they probably know that their couselling hasn’t really addressed anything. Instead of dealing with the real problem they seem to be trying to block our “old” personality and substitute one that is less aware and more tame. (“Constituent Assembly Election… yay thats aweosome!”… They make us feel). The king’s interview feels like he’s not trying to block us… although I can not read his mind… he too might be trying out his luck, fuse his interests.
The only question is… what IS is that the king wants? Well… he (probably and hopefully only) wants to be king… and for him to be a king… he needs to be liked by people… thats a sense of community and Nationality we seem to be loosing. So in that point… the king did shake me a little.
Anyway… I sincerely apologize if this comment offended anyone.
I too, like all of you, want to be able to say that I am a Nepali, and to be able to go back home, to a peaceful home, and apply all the things that I have worked really hard to learn here in the United States.

This is the good lesson for the seven party specially maobadis. All Nepali wants to see peace and prosperity in our country. Do not think that 7 party has got right to make decision on the soverignty of the Nepal and Nepali.
Its time for 7 party to build New Nepal not in just words but in deeds. If constitutional election wont’t take place all the Nepali will loose faith on the 7 party. At that time by default Gyanendra might be head of the state. So be responsible towards Nepali people and Nepal you 7 party leaders and members else you may vanish like Rana Sasan. As I read the interview of King Gyanendra, In my point of view few of his statements are right. After he came in power as a King of Nepal in 2001, He was quite brilliant enough to understand what Nepal and Nepali people want in this Democratic century (21st Century). Why he didn’t try to do practically? At least he would have offered to the people of Nepal, Constitutional assembly’s elections or refferendom. He started to act like a dictator slowly. Without willingness of the people he immediately announced his cruel son Paras as a prince. Why Gyanendra didn’t announce his grandson as a prince ? So dear all, Gyanendra is brilliant enough but he didn’t use his own idea, brain . Someones brain he was using to rule the people. So Dear King Gyanendra it is too late for you to use your idea, thinking. Also try your best to do good for the people, to the people of Nepal.Dear you don’t need position to do good thing. See what is going on around the world.

There is diffrence between appearance and reality in politics.
as i went through all the comments over what King said, i thought i must write something. Nepali Politics would not have seen king Gyanendra if there had not been royal masscare. Now the question arise as to who is the main culprit behind the massacre. To every nepali it is King Gynendra who is solely responsible for that(as everybody thinks he did so to become king). But this seems a sheere nonesense to somebody who understand politics.It is important to see what had happened before the massacre. King Birendra had gone to china before his death and there he signed some important deals.(which india and some western countrys may not like). secondly Later on it seemed obvious that king birendra was going to annouce a new government including maoist after he returned from china.(which external forces plus some internal foces did not wish to happen). thirdly Birendra denied using army against maoist and as a result hundreds of thousand of POlice had to die (as three knot three rifle were not good enough to combat with maoist,s automatic rifle(imported from india). and next thing, there were five thousand army personnel for the security of King Birendra and how can he be dead with out their involvement. it can now be understood from some chinese Political expert that there was political motivation behind royal massacre and mainly indian power group and west had played role for it to happen. and it was the grand design in the sense that the only royal family left was that of Gynendra. but question arise why not dhirenra and why gyanedra? it is because the external factor behind the grand design knew very well that only way to weaken the Monarcy(which use to unite People of nepal) was by having Gynendra as king because people had no faith on him and his son Paras in particular. But the Mystery is why Gynendra nodded his head when he was asked to take rein? two Possibilities: 1-greed for power or 2-he got scared about his own security.we can not expect possibility 1 because- if he was really after power he could have agreed to proposal of Karan sing during the janaandolan II where he purposed king gynendra to be like king of Bhutan which Gynedra denied and as a result came so called Loktandra. May be second pssibility- because the army which could not save his brother may very well not save him as well. To express comment over political issues i think everyone should first try to differenciate between the way things seems and the way they actually are. This is my personal opinion.

We are busy pointing our finger at who says what. Trust me, our country is heading towards partition. Day will come when you will have to stand on the line to get visa to go to different parts of NOW-NEPAL if things continue this way. I deeply understand that we don’t need Monarchy, which have been proved very expensive for us and they lived at our tax anyway. 1. Do Nepali’s feel more secure than before?
2. Has the political change made any difference to a common Nepali living in the rural area?
3. Is the economy of Nepal getting better?
4. Has the change united us for peace or divided/dividing us on ethnic lines?
5. Are we proud of what is happening in Nepal? Is it a short-term gain for a long-term disaster?
6. Can we trust our Neta haru?

ofcourse the king ll think and do good for nepal and nepali people… its common sense … and he ll do this because the existance of him ll be only possible with the country progress…
He tried alot for it in past but people were drived away by worst political leaders and also support them with fair of maosist…. Its true my friends. Janaandolan was not really from nepalise heart…. Nepalese did support that because they were tired of the on going killing rate of people and in a hope of getting peace after doing that …… but again one more time the nepalese people were cheated……
Please think one more ….. dont trust those political leaders of Nepal….. if you think you are capable and sure that you ll be good enough for making beautiful Nepal then please go a head.. I have support for you …… the only identification you need is Nepali, othere wise dont trust this political leaders…….

what he told is exactly correct in the current situation of nepal. we nepalese nevers knows how to respect to others so it cud be better to learn how to give respect.who has made the single nepal finally after a long centuary latter. they destroyed his statue. its could actuallly a bitter history for each n every nepalese people. we dont have any unity, any regards, any respect, any souvernity,any harmony so how can we move ahead.
indeed, history is very essential for each n everys countrys identity. so now in world, everyone fights for thiers identity. indeed, prithvi narayan shah was the great father of nepal he made the big nepal but now the stupid people n leaders became silence to ruin up his statue? if he has not making big nepal nobodys knows the word nepal?perhaps nepal cud be the feast of china n india thats history knows.

I think one must not forget afterall our root , history is represented in kindom and kingship tara, but kintu , parantu, why to use foul words and destroying our history in the name of revolution. iam neither in part of king nor in part of this stupid leaders,,
apart of this there is nothing to be be proud of in nepal,,,
yah we all know king has never played a big part in nepalese democracy or formation of partys i mean oka we talk abt abolishing the king but what was the impact of king before??? and what is his impact now??
i dont think there is any diff between the power of king then and now,, only one thing that mattered was the amount of unneccessary money given to king ,,
as a nepali we should understand that there are only 2 things keeping nepal alive mt everest and the culture ,,
so the kingship is culture of nepal and a lot of countries still have king and queen but in passive ways so why cant we keep the king in passive way by just reducing his money,,
becoz we all know doesnt matters who ever comes to nepali government either its wicked nepali congress, bloody maobadis or the greedy amales ,, noones gonna do anything about country,,,
so abolishing king is not a victory but a cultural loss ,,,:(
