चुनावी प्रचार प्रसारमा भोज-सोज गर्न नपाइने आचार-संहितामा उल्लेख भएता पनि यो पालि क्षेत्र नं. ८ का कांग्रेस उम्मेदवार नविन्द्र राज जोशीले आफ्नो घरमा भोजको लहर रोक्न सकेको छैन । कहिले कसको बिहे त कहिले कसको व्रतबन्ध चुनावकै अगाडि जुरेकोमा (जुराएकै भएपनि) टोलभरी नै चहल-पहल छ।
संविधान सभाको यत्रो ठूलो महान उत्सव कै चहलपहलमा आफनो घरमा टोलभरी कै सबैजनाको आवत जावत हेर्दा त लाग्छ कि यो पालि काठमाडौं क्षेत्र नं. ८ उहाँकै पोल्टोमा । आफनो हातमा पार्टीको पम्पलेट हुनुपर्नेमा, आफना भतिज सौरभराज जोशीको चैत १६ गते त्रिभुवन आर्मी अफिसर्स क्लबमा हुन लागेको शुभ-ब्रतवन्धको निमन्त्रणा कार्ड बाँड्नमा व्यस्त देखिन्थे उनी।
हामीलाई लाग्ला कि बिचरा नबिन्द्रजीको त घरायसी मामिला हो, किन टेन्सन लिइरा होला । तर कुरा अलिक गजब छ । नबिन्द्रजीलाई आफ्नो भोजमा टोलका केही सक्रिय व्यक्तिहरुलाई बोलाउन यति मन थियो कि ढोकाटोल निवासी श्याम खत्रीको नाममा तीन वटा कार्ड आए । तर तीनवटैमा नाम गलत ।
एउटामा श्याम कार्की र अरुमा श्याम क्षेत्री । अनि अचम्म लागेर श्यामजीलाई सोध्दा झोंकिएर भने “न मैले राम्ररी चिनेको छु, बिहानै आएर ल त चाँडै आउनु है पो भने त्यसले ।” अनि बाँकी अरु कार्डको सवालमा चाँही के भयो त भनी सोध्दा, “त्यही राजेशदाइ (पूव वडा सदस्य, कांग्रेस) र शशिलालले (पूर्व वडा अध्यक्ष, कांग्रेस) दिन आ’का ।”
यो स्थिति श्यामजीलाई मात्रै भा’को भए अहो, कस्तो संयोज जुरेको भनिन्थ्यो होला । तर यो ताल त अरु थुप्रैकोमा पनि भयो त । टन्न कार्ड बाँड्ने र चिने पनि नचिने पनि भोजमा बोलाइ हालौं भन्ने सोच त यो चुनावको आस-पास अलिक हजम भएन नि।
नवीन्द्रमात्रै हैन, केही अघि राप्रपा नेपालका विक्रमबहादुर थापा पनि छोराको बिहेको भोज गज्जबले हजारौँलाई बोलाएर खुवाएको देखिएको थियो।
लौ है, भोजको मौसम छ, मोज गरम्।

Free and Fair?? Yeah, When you prevent other parties from campaigning, Free and Fair, yeah, When you thrash and beat up opposition candidates, Free and Fair. So people have decided to finish this once and for all, give them a humiliating defeat and tell them that violence is unacceptable in any circumstances, they are frightened to death and blah blahing all the sh*t out of their mouth!!

Well, he can stay home and read more newspapers and learn that the Maoist never spoke of an insurgency. They said they would fight again if the elections were not free and fair. I repeat ” if not FREE and FAIR”. Comdrade Prachanda has cleared this in a press conference. So please “hope” shut your pie hole and read before you speak.

Lot better than threatening,thrashing,killing,abducting,vandalizing. Atleast he is not forcing people to vote him,at least he is campaigning peacefully. There is no mention in the blog that he is asking for a vote in return for this feast he is offering!! And you can vote for anybody despite enjoying the particular feast!!
Though I have my reservations, I would have chosen him hundred times than a maoists who is threatning to go for insurgency again should they loose. Why should we succumbed to a bloody intimidation again and again?? The question now being asked is why shouldn’t they loose and how wouldn’t they loose??
It’s time for Plan B, maoist should and would loose the elction and as they ‘promised’,they will wave a violent ‘revolution’ again, are other parties prepared for that?? If not, be ready, make your contingencies in place because Maoists are facing a humiliating defeat( seems they have accepted the fact more or less, listen to Puspa Kamal and company). It’s unfortunate that we have wasted two valuable years dealing with a party which was, is and will always be terrorist in nature!!
