Had the opportunity to be a volunteer during this event. I completely disagree with this author, not in the aspect that NOC is corrupt but that he has termed this as an unsuccessful (or likely to be) event. Second, his greed for capitalistic society brought him to this country. Also, as far as I have learned from my sources in Toronto, he is a refugee claimant (malai maoist le maryo/saran deu catagory – but fake one).

Also, being a Nepali, it was 100% known that I was going to be paired up with Nepali NOC to be their Olympic Assistant (every country’s Olympic Committe VIP gets a Personal Assistant assigned with a vehicle as Vancouver is not a familiar town for them). I am a Nepali but it was very embarrassing for me when I rejected the idea of providing any support to NOC members to the VANOC management. I knew all along that Nepal’s participation was rather for one’s personal monetary benefit and personal gain rather then country’s boosting the nation’s image.

This is what was said to the player from Ghana during interview by one of the CTV anchor, ‘you became third last but you did beat the two nations with almost the most amount of snow in the world i. e. Mongolia and Nepal”. Now I don’t know about Mongolia, but yes, considering the mountains of Nepal and if there were enough resources for our athletes, we would be strong contenders for many medals during winter olympics. Sad to say that this all is beyond imagination.

Daijhi is Richard Morley. Richard Morley is Daijhi.

So, Daijhi giving credit to Morley for the Olympian’s participation is nothing but self praise.

No Olympian, anywhere in the world, can participate in the Olympics without the approval of their country’s Olympic committee and IOC’s final approval. That is the minimum requirement.

So, trashing IOC and NOC is untenable. There may be corruption, but to single out names based on heresy is irresponsible and sensational.

Well said Daijhi. Unfortunately, IOC is run and dominated by Corporate greed and NOC lives off IOC crumbs. Both are absolutely corrupt. Examples are abound to back this up.

Dachhiri is a Nepali pride, a hero. I heard he was publicly honoured by the Nepali community there in Vancouver ( thank you Nepalese). I hope he gets recognized more. He surely deserves such recognitions.

Dachiri Sherpa should be congratulated for his great effort at Vancouver.

But not the Nepal Olympic Committee or the IOC.

Mr. Sherpa got there through his own efforts and time and expenses.

The Nepal Olympic Committee got participation only because of the efforts of Richard Morley and the Nepal Ski Team that who created the infrastructure that led to participation. No one in the NOC understands anything about skiing – their interest is only money and their own business connections.
People should check out Shyam Dakhal/Nepal Ski Team/Richard Morley on google – and read the full story about the Nepal Olympic Committee. There are dozens of articles and web pages on the corruption and filth that lies within the Nepal Olympic Committee and Jeevan Ram Shrestha.

But Dachiri Sherpa is a very nice man who should get respect for his efforts.

Its nice to have a news about our ski athlete Mr. Dachhiri Sherpa who had successfully participated in Turin Winter Olympic and Vancouver Winter Olympic Games . I would like to draw a kind attention to the Mr. Sharma and writer of the above mention news that Nepal Government has not contribute any penny for the Nepalese Participation in Winter Olympic Games. The main credit goes to the IOC and Nepal Olympic Committee for the Nepalese participation in the games.

I would like to kindly request to writer that first please find out the truth and then publish the article. Please do not go for the gossip which has not any proof and request not to publish these kind of article which any affect to our nations’ pride.

Hope later on the writer won’t publish these kind of rubbish without any proof.
