अपडेट (राति १२२०) माअोवादीले तीन महिनाका लागि एकपक्षीय युध्दविरामको घोषणा गरेका छन्। युध्दविरामको घोषणा गरिएको वक्तव्यमा निःसर्त संविधान सभाको माग पनि गरिएको छ। यसअघि माअोवादीले आफ्ना नाकाबन्दीको कार्यक्रम संसदको पहिलो बैठकसम्मका लागि स्थगित गरेको थियो। अध्यक्ष प्रचण्डद्वारा हस्ताक्षरित वैशाख १३ को मिति राखिएको वक्तव्यमा युध्दविराम ‘आजैका दिनदेखि लागू हुने’ भनिएको छ। वक्तव्यको पूर्ण पाठ भित्र
यो वक्तव्य मैले अरु नै स्रोतबाट प्राप्त गरेको हुँ। मेरो व्यक्तिगत इमेलमा भने माअोवादी कामरेडहरुले किन हो वक्तव्य नै पठाउन छाडेका छन्। पहिले-पहिले भए समयमा नै पाउने गर्थेँ।

लोकतन्त्र, शान्ति र अग्रगमनका लागि हाम्रो पार्टी सात संसदवादी राजनैतिक दलहरुसंग १२-बुँदे समझदारी कायम गर्न तथा समझदारी अनुसार शान्तिपूर्ण जनसंर्घषमा समेत सक्रिय पहल लिएको कुरा सर्वविदितै छ । समझदारी र संर्घषमा भइरहेको संयुक्त पहललाई विश्वास गरेर नै सडकमा जनसमुदायले जनसंघर्षकै इतिहासमा वीरता र सिर्जनशीलताको नयाँ इतिहास रचना गर्यो । निशर्त संविधानसभा र गणतन्त्र, जनसंघर्षको प्रमुख नारा र आदर्श बन्न पुगेको कुरा दिनको घाम जत्तिकै र्छलङ्ग छ । नेपालको इतिहासमा मात्र नभएर विश्व इतिहासमा समेत स्वर्णिम अक्षरमा लेखिने वर्तमान जनसंघर्ष निरंकुशतन्त्रका विरुद्ध सशस्त्र र शान्तिपूर्ण संघर्षको विशिष्ट संश्लेषणका रुपमा अगाडि आएको छ । यो विशिष्टताको गहन, अध्ययन, विश्लेषण र संश्लेषणको प्रक्रिया वौद्धिक र आम जनताका बीचमा समेत लामो समयसम्म चलिरहेको छ ।
तर, अहिले यसलाई सात दलको मात्र संघर्ष भए जस्तो गरी कथित संसदको पुनर्स्थापनाद्वारा जनताले इतिहासमा प्रदर्शन गरेको महान् संश्लेषण र आदर्शलाई अवमूल्यन गर्ने भयानक प्रयत्नहरु भइरहेका छन् । जनसंघर्षको एक प्रमुख शक्ति ने.क.पा.(माओवादी) लाई सम्बोधन नै नगरी भएको कथित घोषणा र संझौताभित्र नेपाल र नेपाली जनताको लोकतन्त्र, शान्ति र अग्रगमनको महान् पहल र आंकाक्षाका विरुद्ध गम्भीर षडयन्त्रका तानाबाना लुकेको कुरा स्पष्ट बुझ्न सकिन्छ ।
हाम्रो पार्टी नेपाल र नेपाली जनताको आधुनिक गणतान्त्रिक चेतनाका विरुद्ध हुने सबै प्रकारका षडयन्त्रसँग जस्तोसुकै मोर्चामा रहेर पनि प्रतिरोध गर्न कहिल्यै पछि पर्ने छैन । अहिले संविधानसभा र लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्रका लागि चलिरहेको जनसंघर्षलाई निरन्तर उर्जाशील राखी एउटा ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धिमा लगेर टुङ्ग्याउने गहिरो जिम्मेवारीबोध, जनताको शान्तिको आकंक्षाप्रतिको गहिरो प्रतिबद्धता तथा संसदवादी राजनैतिक दलहरुलाई निशर्त संविधानसभाको घोषणा गर्न प्रेरित गर्ने उद्देश्य समेतमाथि सचेत बन्दै हाम्रो पार्टी यसै वक्तव्यमार्फत् आजकै मितिदेखि लागू हुने गरी तीन महिनाका लागि पुनः एकपक्षीय युद्धविरामको घोषणा गर्दछ । युद्धविरामको अवधिभर जनमुक्ति सेनाले कुनै आक्रामक फौजी कार्यवाही गर्ने छैन अपितु सक्रिय रक्षाको अवस्थामा रही जनसमुदायको सेवा र शान्तिपूर्ण परिचालन गर्ने काममा सक्रिय रहने छ । हाम्रो पार्टी विश्वास गर्दछ कि हाम्रो यो घोषणाले संविधानसभा, लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र र शान्तिको आकांक्षामा सडकमा पोखिएको जनसागरको उच्च सम्मानमात्र हुने छैन, त्यसलाई निरन्तर उर्जाशील राख्दै इतिहासलाई एउटा तात्विक निष्कर्षम्म पुर्याउनसमेत मद्दत गर्नेछ । हाम्रो हृदय जनताको हृदयसँग जोडिएको छ ।

रामकुमार एलन-दचश्र-दचश्र मकवानपुर-दचश्र-दचश्र माओवादीहरूले बुधबार बिहानै हेटौंडा-बसामाडी सडकखण्डमा रात्रीबस जलाएर महेन्द्र राजमार्ग अवरुद्ध पारेका छन्। काठमाडौंबाट का“कडभिट्टातर्फआइरहेको बा१ख ९७४४ नम्बरको रात्रीबसका यात्रुहरू ओरालेर हेटौंडानजिकै बसामाडी सरस्वतीमा माओवादीले बिहान साढे ६ बजे राजमार्गमा तेर्स्याएर जलाइदिएका छन्। माओवादीले बसामाडीकै लेवटमा पनि गाडीहरू तेर्स्याएर राजमार्ग अवरुद्ध पारेका छन्। महेन्द्र राजमार्ग अवरुद्ध पारेपछि भरतपुरतर्फजान लागेका एम्बुलेन्सहरू पनि जान नसकेर फर्किएका छन्। यस्तै त्रिभुवन राजपथमा पनि सवारी साधनहरू चलेका छैनन्। हेटौंडाबाट जिल्लाभित्र नै चल्ने स्थानीय रुटका गाडीहरू पनि चलेका छैनन्। माओवादीले राति टेम्पोसमेत नचलाउन माइकिङ गरेको गाउ“लेहरूले बताए। -दचश्र-दचश्र माओवादी नाकाबन्दीको हल्लाले हेटौंडा बजार पनि आंशिक खुलेको छ र २० दिनपछि छाएको खुशी फेरि निराशामा परिणत भएको छ। उनीहरूले वैशाख १५ गतेसम्म पनि पर्खिन नसकेर माओवादीले दल र जनताहरूलाई अनावश्यक दुःख दिएको बताए।

The announcement of ceasefire for 3 months by Maoist is appreciable. This is a process for the peace building.We also sincerely hope the ceasefire by the government. We dont need any “…Tantra”,but we need our county in a peace having mutual harmony with bortbers.We want to see our country a developed, progressive and sophisticatred. This is the time to maintain coperation for raising our nation from degrading socio-economic condition.

Being outside the country……and seeing the crisis of the nepal and nepalese people is so disappointing…..but thank god……..the new ray of hope is coming up. Its yet to see that the ministers will be of value to people or the same as before. we all had much and hope maoists will be fair enough to deal with the current situations peacefully keeping in mind the faith of the people of nepal and the future of nepal. now we are among the least developed…..and among the poorest nations country in the world. being the land of gods, we shall see that our culture and heritages are not destroyed and the people lining here will be breathe the fresh air and live life peacefully.

I haven’t leave any comment after the address off Gyanendra to the people… I was confused abut what is gonna be the next step of the political leaders and the maoist… This time it sounds like both of them got the lesson. Dhilai bhaye pani buddhi aayako jasto chha, yehi kura ma Nepali janata le garba garnu parcha. Request to poltical leaders and maoist “should give pressure for the sambidhan sabha and throw the so called king that much far ki he can’t even imagine and dream to come to Nepal once again. Nepal ko name sunne bitaki kattu ma nai mutne banauna parcha.”

There is an issue that’s still eating up my brain. Is the republic Nepal the only demand of Maoists? Will they be content with it? If so, what more the Indian Maoists are asking for there although they have a full-fledged republican democracy there. Looking at their modus operandi, it is the same as our Maoists- janakarbahis, extortions, donations, kidnappings, attacks on police posts!
I want ur views on this. Please, enlighten me !!

Alliance for Democracy & Human Rights in Nepal, USA (ADHRN) is cautiously optimistic about the most recent political developments in Nepal. While the king’s address to the nation relinquishing executive powers and recognizing that the sovereignty lies in people is encouraging, it is ADHRN’s firm position that the true aspirations of the Nepali people, as demonstrated by the recent historic movement, was to achieve a Constituent Assembly.
ADHRN would also like to caution the monarchy not to interfere with the clear road map to Constituent Assembly as envisaged by the Seven-Party Alliance(SPA). The outcome of such Constitutional Assembly elections shall be accepted by all the political forces, including the king, without any hesitation.
It is also incumbent upon the SPA that they break away from their notorious history of power-hungry actions, and take this second chance to make the best for the people of Nepal. Any decision that they take from now onwards, be it that of forming an interim cabinet, their possible peace talks with the CPN-Maoists, or the overall governance of the country in the interim period, should take confidence of the people — they should always uphold the nation and the people’s interest at the helm. The battle has been won, but the war continues; and as exemplified by the people’s wishes expressed in the recent historic Jana Andolan, the complete victory will not come until there is an unconditional Constituent Assembly election.
It has also been ADHRN’s firm position that the CPN-Maoists must make unequivocal commitment to full disarmament and to enter the mainstream politics peacefully. At this juncture in Nepali political history, they must adhere to their 12-point Understanding with the SPA. The wave of peaceful protests that made the monarchy ever-so-threatened has proven their ability to achieve what the Maoists have not been able to in the past ten years of their violent movement.
At this crucial hour of great transformation, we stand by the Nepali people and congratulate them on their partial but significant victory over autocracy. The resilience and the courage expressed by the Nepali people to stand against tyranny are highly commendable. However, ADHRN urges everyone, particularly the members of the Nepali civil society, to remain vigilant and not let future governments deviate from the path towards meaningful and complete democracy, peace and prosperity for all Nepalis. It is ADHRN’s firm belief that only the unconditional election for Constituent Assembly, with the fate of the monarchy clearly in the hands of the people, can bring sustainable peace and prosperity to Nepal.

Looks like party leaders either still have not gut to go for republic, or they are going to betray us. I heard an interview of one of the so called top leaders of SPA “MAKUNE” in BBC, and his meaning was to avoid unconditional constitutional assembly election while talking about very petty things. If time comes, we should committed to punish all those political profiters, whether it be koirala, or makune or whoever it is. If they want to be ‘political dalals’ , they can no more be our leaders. It is a very strong decision we all should take if time comes for the sake of our future, Nepal’s future or a complete lokatantra. Ganatantra -Jindabad.

You can never trust Maoists. And that is the bottom line. There is absolutely no difference between Maoists and Gyane. Both sides believe in resolving issues with the help of weapons. But at the current situation SPA has no options but to trust Maoists and give everything to make them lay down their arms. But let us wait and see, what will happen in the future. Who knows both Gyane and Prachandey will be prosecuted by the Nepali people at the same time at the same court. Maoists must learn now that the weapon is not the solution, they have seen the power of people and shouldn’t test it again. So I think they are looking for the truce this time … but .. still .. who knows.

i respect to mr. prachand and baburam vatrai.it is very good for nepali people and the government to create a good environment and negotiation with the party. these days procession shows that every body were demanding for the republic.means all the 7 parties. but unfortunately they couldn’t.if there were demand for republic by the people and same demand is by the maobadi.then how the maobadi will be a terorist? so government must withdraw the blame and shouldn’t be hurry for blaming anybody without knowing the truth.
it is known that no any party could succed in this procession without maobadi.so anybody must realise this and should consider the matter.if not then history will tell them what can happen in future.
i want to tell mr. Girija pd. koirala that do not underestimate any single person. everybody has right to tell the truth.so most important tips for you that clear the corruption.it will help the general public.
for example just for short time king were very famous for it and peoples of nepal were very happy. but it was applicable for just a few days and he failed.

Prachanda did a great job by announcing ceseacefire for the comming three-months. Now state should also do the same. 7 party do not hesistate to give credit to Miast as well for this achievement. Do not miss this opportunity for permamnent peace in Nepal by allowing for free and fair election for unconditional constitutional assembly, and also accomodate Janamalesia to National Army whatever may be the result of people’s verdicts in the constitutional assembly which would draft the new constituion in the days to come. Without assembling Janamalesia in the national army election for unconditional constitutional assembly would not solve the problem. Be aware that most of the Janamalesia are working for Roji Roti as well or in expection of ROJI ROTI after the sucess of movement.

SPA gear up and show your solidarity as fast as possible by lifting a tag of “TERRORIST” from maoist organization and responding by ordering the “NEPAL ARMY” to put down the weapons. Next by announcing the “Constitution Assembly” election by friday itself.

I think Maoists made slight mistake by reacing viciously on the first day towards seven parties. They now realise it, I hope. They shouldn’t behave as if the war has already been won by 7 parties. The king is still there, the royalists are still there, and SPA (M) should still need to be united for peaceful and prosperous Nepal.
This is an impressive movement from the maoist side. If they really want to come to mainstream, they should wait and see the activites of new government for sometime. If they become cruel as earlier/ the people power will go against them as we did with Mr. King.
