माथिको भिडियोमा बोल्दै गरेका देखिएका वक्ता माअोवादीको मजदूर संगठनका अध्यक्ष शालिकराम जम्मरकटेल हुन्। सभाको सम्पूर्ण अवधिसम्म म त्यहाँ थिइनँ। त्यहाँ माअोवादीका दुई भूमिगत नेता सार्वजनिक भएका थिए। एक शालिकराम नै हुन् भने अर्का चाहिँ माअोवादीको विद्यार्थी संगठनका अध्यक्ष लेखनाथ न्यौपाने रहेछन्। न्यौपानेको भाषण निकै कडा थियो रे भन्ने सुनेपछि अर्का नेताको भाषण तपाईँहरु सबैलाई सुनाउन पनि हुन्छ भन्दै म खुलामञ्चतर्फ दौडिएको थिएँ।

यस अडियो ब्लगमा माअोवादी मजदूर नेता शालिकराम जम्मरकटेलको भाषण छ। उनले आफ्नो ४० मिनेटभन्दा लामो भाषणका क्रममा सडकमा जनआन्दोलनको नेतृत्व आफ्नो पार्टीले गरेको दावी गरे। उनले अगाडि भने-पहिले नामै सुन्न नचाहने दलहरुले किन अहिले संविधान सभाको कुरा गरिरहेका छन्,यो हाम्रो पार्टीको राजनीतिक विजय हो। सात दलका कारण १२ बूँदे भएको हैन,हाम्रो पहलमा भएको हो भन्ने उनको जिकिर थियो। नेपाली जनता हाम्रो पार्टीको नेतृत्वमा सामन्तवादको विरुध्दमा निशस्त्र ढंगले विद्रोह गर्न उत्रिएकोमा हामीलाई गर्व छ भनेर उनले भने।
संसदवादी दलहरुले हामीलाई आतंककारी घोषणा गरे, हामीलाई सिध्याउने खेल खेले, त्यही बदला लिने हो भने, हामीले पनि त्यही गद्दारी गर्ने हो भने राजनीतिक दलहरुलाई पत्तासाफ गरिदिने समय आएको थियो, त्यस्तो प्रस्ताव राजाले बारम्बार पठाएको थियो, मिलौं, सत्ता चलाअौं, दुई तिहाई ल्याइदिन्छौं, २० वर्ष सत्तामा बसौं भनेर बारम्बार पत्र पठाएका थिए- उनले खुलासा गरे।

यो भाषण यहाँ राख्नुको उद्देश्य माअोवादीले त्यहाँ के कस्ता कुरा राखे भन्ने उत्सुकता भएका देश-विदेशका पाठकहरुको जिज्ञासा शान्त पार्नु र माअोवादीहरुले राखेका तर्क के-कति जायज थिए, त्यस बारेमा बहस चलाउनु हो।
मलाई चाहिँ सडकमा जनआन्दोलनको नेतृत्व आफ्नो पार्टीले गरेको दावी अलि चित्त बुझेन। यता दलहरु आफूले मात्रै जनआन्दोलन गरे झैँ अतिवादी कुरा गरिरहेका छन् भने माअोवादीले पनि त्यसरी दुई पक्षको विश्वासमा संकट आउन सक्ने कुराहरु गर्न हुने थिएन। वास्तवमा मेरो विचारमा यो जनआन्दोलन जनताले गरेको थियो। सात दल र माअोवादीबीचको १२ बूँदे सहमतिपछि देशमा लामो समयसम्म जारी द्वन्द्वको शान्तिपूर्ण निकास निस्केर सुन्दर, शान्त नेपालको निर्माण हुन्छ कि भन्ने आशाले आफ्नो ज्यानको बाजी थापेर जनता आन्दोलनमा होमिएका हुन्। त्यसमा माअोवादी कार्यकर्ताहरुको पनि सहभागिता थियो, सात दलका कार्यकर्ताहरुको पनि। अब यतिबेला आएर नेतृत्व कसले गरेको भनेर विवाद उठाउनु व्यर्थ छ। देशलाई शान्ति र पूर्ण लोकतन्त्रको दिशामा लग्न अझ धेरै कुरा गर्न बाँकी छ।

Nepal is being VICTIMIZED BY ALL “THESE THREE” although people do not see it on the surface because we are very simple people, this is the reality. We will see it only after it is tooo late to do anything

My dear friends of Nepal and dear Nepalese in Nepal and all over the world,
Our support goes to all ordinary Nepalese who have lost their lives and become injured when you came to road peacefully to voice Royal regime that has suffocated you and you Nepalese didn’t foresee any improvement from this STUPID Gynendra and his GANG’s rule.
Stupid Gynendra, son Paras and all members of his Gang who directed security forces to brutalize peaceful demonstration must be punished by New People’ democratic government. The present revived parliamentarian are so corrupt and they hold no interest for Nepal and Nepalese, that’s how it appears from their action. They are cowards. They are in my view equally responsible for the crisis Nepalese are facing today. We wouldn’t have had any Maoist rebelion and they wouldn’t have any support if Girija, Sere, Gynendre and Paras weren’t so power hungry and corrupt.
It’s too late to debate about constitutional Monarchy or ceremonial monarchy. There shouldn’t be any trace of monarchy in Nepal. Once monarchy is gone, Nepali can solve any other problem democratically. First return power to people unconditionally. Maoist will either take part in politics and development work peacefully or bir Nepali will once again take them to Masanghat for their final funeral. Please end any trace of monarchy. Please dear Nepalese friends in the country and outside the country help establish People’s republic of Nepal and elect your representative democratically.

Gynendra shouldn’t have any say about any thing. Why is he using constitution when this constitution is already salvaged by Jana Aandolan. Reviving dead parliament by this king is totally wrong. There is no constitution in Nepal right. The old constitution is no longer valid when this king used and abused in his advantage.

The MAIN ISSUE in the present 21st centry world is RELIGION
Look at the Muslim terrorism against Europe and America. Muslims and Christians blame each other for transgressing and colonizing and fighting their wars at different fronts.
Here in Nepal, Nepal’s religion is very easily being colonized because Nepali people are extremely poor and have no religious education of their own. Christian missionaries and Muslim fundamentalists are competing to occupy Nepali people for massive conversion through influence of money and other forms of help. On the other hand, Maoists are destroying their own religion by harassing Hindus in so many different ways.
Where will Nepal go from now? The only Hindu country in the world? Since Nepali youths have no vision of their own religion and culture, I see Nepal’s identity completely disappearing. In some years from now, we will not have any Ramesh, Shyam, Radha and Ganesh in our Country. Nepali names will be John, Mohammed, Fatima and Maria. There will be no temples in Kathmandu; they will be either churches or Masjids and there will be Holiday either on Christmas or Eid. There will be no Dashain and Tihar. And there will be no Nepali Bikram Sambat. Everything will go by Iswi Sambat only. There will be no lok geet and sarangi, there will be only pop-singers and discos all over.
Our Kathmandu will have some of the largest cow slaughter houses for momo and Chhoila.
And this will be our modern Nepal; where our identites will be COMPLETELY DESTROYED
If, as this person has said, Maoist party wants to take credit for all the successes, but blame every failure on the SPA – what difference do they have from the monarchs? And in future, how can they allow existance of a different opinion? If they say SPA fell into Gyane’s trap, the 12 point agreement looks like a bigger trap for me. SPA has allowed them to speak freely – even when the terrorist tag hasn’t been officially removed – at khula manch, but we haven’t seen any commitment except more blames and threatening words coming from their side!
Maoists – this attitude won’t help you, and if you all continue with the same attitude (taking credit for success but blaming others for failure, not respecting a different opinion or path of approach, etc) – no one can help you in future.
सामन्तबाद लाई वचाउन धर्म को आड नलिउँ
माथि एक जना मित्रले अहिले को पुर्ण लोकतन्त्रको आन्दोलन सम्बिधान सभाको चुनाव तथा राजतन्त्र वा सामन्तवादको विरोधलाई हिन्दु धर्म सगँ जोडेर निरङ्कुशतन्त्रको रक्षा कवच को रुपमा धर्मलाई प्रयोग गर्न खोज्नु भएको रहेछ। यस सन्दर्भमा मित्रले निम्न कुरा वुझ्न जरुरी देखिन्छ ।
१ राजतन्त्र र हिन्दु धर्म प्रयावाची होईनन् । जेष्ठ १९ को हत्याकाण्ड जसमा एउटा बिष्णु को अवतार मानिने राजा र उसको सम्पूर्ण शाखा सन्तान को हत्या हुन्छ र अर्को विष्णुको अवतार जसको फेरी कसैलाई केही पनि हुदैंन को नाटकमा पार्द्भभाव हुन्छ । के अझै पनी राजालाई बिष्णुको अवतार मानेर धर्मको आड मान्नु कुन युगिन सोचाई हो छर्लङ्ग हुन्छ । सुनिता-विनिता देखी प्रवीण गुरुङ्ग हुदैं विरेन्द्रको हत्या सम्मको श्रृङ्खलालाई हेर्ने हो भने धर्मको सरक्षंक मानेको राजसंस्था को नाङ्गो तस्विर प्रष्ट हुन्छ ।
२ एउटा धर्म, जाति, वर्ग वा समुहलाई काखा च्यापेर अन्य धर्म, जाति, वर्ग वा समुहलाई हेप्नु एक राष्ट्रको दृष्टिवाट कतिको न्यायोचित हुन्छ?
३ राजतन्त्रलाई केहि मानिसहरु नेपालको राष्ट्रिय एकताको प्रतिक भएकोले वचाउनु पर्दछ भन्दछन । गत माघ १९ देखी देशको राजनैतिक स्थिती जसमा राजदरवारले नियन्त्रण र नेतृत्व गरेको थियो मा देश कता गयो देशमा एकतापूर्ण नेतृत्व दिन सक्यो सकेन घामको उज्यालो झैं प्रष्ट हुन्छ । जनजाती दलित र पिछडिएको वर्गलाई हेपेर थिचेर र शोषण गरेर राख्नुलाई राष्ट्रिय एकताको रुपमा वुझ्ने लाई वा शोषणका पक्षपातीलाई २१ औं शताव्दीका जनताले वढि केहि भन्नु पर्ला जस्तो लाग्दैन ।

What J kattel is saying is not away from the ground reality.
Look at the history in Nepal from 2007 BS. Tribhuwan had promised for constitutional assembly. Why not fulfilled in the history? It is difficult to believe unless the reality is established in the country. The strong backing from CPN(M) is absolute necessary to favour the people who challenged the curfew of Gyane and Parase offering their lives.
However, there are few exceptions what Kattel said. I would say that Nepali people came to the streets themslves to solve the problem peacefully. People means here not only SPA and not only cpn (m) but all people who are against the feudal monarchy in Nepal. Who are against Gyane, Parase and their attaychar. Who were leading the street demonstrations is not a major thing: infact both SPA or Maoist initiated the janaandolan after the 12.pt MUO.
Now the major thing is to solve the polotical problem in the country. The peoples aspiration should be highly regarded and fulfilled by peoples unity. In this regard I suggest the following:
1) The Sadan should make Interim Bidhan-2063 in favour of people and announce immediately for the election for constitutional assembly without any delay. The election should be conducted before Dashain 2063. The procedure and details can be discussed by all parties afterwards.
2) Withdraw all the red corner notice to CPN (M), withdraw the terrorist level to CPN (M), anounce cease fire from RNA, and call for a dialogue with CPN (M) based on the strength of the Sadan and made Interim Bidhan-2063. do not look what Gyane Parase will say, do not afraid SPA leaders and members of the restated parliament. Promise infornt of the Sahid who have lost their lives to remove the feudalism.
3) The Sadan should decide and call for a round table conference after the dialouge with CPN (M) to form an interim governmnet taking representative from all sectors including civil society.
3) Girija and the new ministers should not bow infront of Gyane and Parase. Stop the procedure written in the 1990 constitution. Follow the Interim Bidhan – 2063. Rather they should bow in fornt of the Sahid photos. The constitution of 1990 is dead now. do not open it again. be careful! Gyane will play goti in favour of him and his santati, Parase.
4) Biocutt all dealings with the Palace. Decide all bills and take bold decisions in the Sadan and conduct as the aspiration of the people.
5) The interim government should then conduct the constitutional assembly and institutionalise the democratic rights in the country.

people have given their lives for Republic, but not for to be Gulam again of the feudal monarchy, Gyane and Parase.
Let us voice, the SPA will decide above suggested action plans through the strength of Sadad.
HINDUISM AT RISK IN NEPAL:

2. Most in risk is our religious and cultural integrity; the thousands of years of our Hindu religion is at RISK now in Nepal and Nepali people do not UNDERSTAND WHY AND HOW. They do not even understand what HINDUISM AT RISK means or why it is important at all
3. Hinduism is already attacked by sweet speaking Christian missionaries, whose only goal is to convert simple Nepali people into Christian religion and destroy our Hindu cultures.
4. Maoists, who are also Hindus, are digging their own feet, they do not beleive in Hinduism and are destroying their own faith. People’s govenrment means Maoists dictatorship. That means the destruction of Hinduism.
5. Nepali people do not know how Muslims have surrounded Nepal; Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Muslim extremists (not Hindus)
have entered Nepal and have made strong base at the heart of the capital. Their only goal is to convert Nepali people and destroy our temples one day. Our Maoist brothers and sisters, who have little belief in their own religion, are helping the Mulsim’s mission of destroying Nepal.
6. The king was bad and evil but does not mean our culture and religion was bad. Actually Hinduism is the only religion that does not hate other religions and cultures. It does not convert other religions. It respects all cultures and practices. But, with the foreign religions in our land, our culture will be totally swept. In some years from now, all nepali people will grow long beard and start chanting Allah U Akbar and women will wear long black robe from top to bottom, which is called “burka”
7. Nepali people will forget their roots and history.
Save our Hindu religion. Keep Nepal’s Hindu heritage and living practices. This is the most PROMINENT IDENTITY for all Nepali people.
Because of maoist support and their encourageous leadership this movement became success. If there were not maiost’s involvement actively, height of the movement could not be like that. Why SPA’s movements before this were ended without any acheivement? It was simply because of absence of maoist’s cadres in such movements. There were very few people with inactive mood involving in the previous various movements. SPA leaders became tired of organizing unsuccessful people’s movements, and asked maoists to join in their movements by making some agreements called 12-points agreement. It is the reality that every one can realized now. Still there is uncertainity ahead. Because still there is a probability of leaders to bowdown their heads towards the palace. Because palace is making various tactices to regresss this incomplete democratic success.

Some what reality we saw in Jamarkattel,s speech, but he did try to prove that the power and leadership behind the huge protest was his party,which is not truth. All the Nepali people came out on the street because they were optimistic to restore peace and democracy.We saw no political leader was leading the people during the protest till 18th day. Nepali people themselves protesting on the street against the Royal autocracy . It’s all because of the Nepali people . Nepali people are the supreme power and absolute power of Nepal.

I disagree to the Maoist Ideology but I agree on what Mr. Kantel said about the King’s offer to the SPA. This offer was a shrewd and extremeley calculated one and all of the SPA members fell into it. These SPA ( I call them SPAZ) leaders deluded the public aspiration and their dream by accepting the offer of “Accept the current constitution and reinstate the dissolved parliament”. This means it gives the supreme power to king.. every one is talking about the constituent Assembly.. .. this current assembly is the “Constituent Assembly” according to the current Constitution. These SPAZ are accepting the current Consitution.
My heart felt condolences to all those people who lost their lives and to their relatives. All those lives are wasted by our SPA leaders for nothing.

There has been some interest generated as to why KP Oli is being sent to the
government instead of Madhav, given that KP had in past:
a. Expressed his satisfaction over King’s intention after meeting him
following October 4, 2002 in NTV programme by declairing in his signature
high pitch nasal voice, “Sri Panch ko dharana ma ma nischinta chhu” ( I am
satisfied with the King’s intention), wherease everybody in the opposition
were unison against the King’s move.
b. The same KP once expressed futility of movement against the King and did
never participate actively. Even when participated in the protest was eager
to get arrested right away smiling with the policemen and never resisting or
raising slogans.
c. The same KP who after Feb 1, 2005 move in BBC interview said, “Tato ragat
le hoina, thanda dimag le sochnu parcha” which gave many an indication of
his eventual defection to the King’s side.
d. The KP who never participated in any of the street protests actively when
many other leaders were so vocal against the monarchy.
Now everybody is in quite shock how this would Rayamaji has been so
successful in getting himself nominated to lead UML instead of Madhav.
Could anybody care to explain? This KP Sharma Oli, who once told his cadres
that the movement is just for making the monarchy constitutional instead of
against it, has been able to convince the whole UML to nominate him to lead
the new government that has been established solely because of the very
protests which he had doubts on!!!!!!

Vital geo-cultural aspects

Nepal thus is not a special case for us anymore even if it is a Hindu kingdom. It is a part of the general problem of the Hindus under siege, encircled by the anti-Hindu forces.
As I have been repeatedly writing in these columns, Hindus are under a camouflaged siege and hence most Hindus do not even realise it. To lift this siege, Hindus need a new mindset based on an implementable Agenda. It is not enough anymore for the Hindus to be just pious, or religious or observe rituals to defend their faith. Hindus have to awaken to the reality of this siege and become organised with a mindset to repulse the threats.
The siege is manifested in terrorism, illegal immigration, religious conversion, and the geo-political encirclement of the present day India by hostile forces. Everyone of these threats is directed at only one target—the Hindus and the Hindu foundation of India.
The developments in Nepal also have to be seen and understood as a part of this siege that the Hindus face today.
So when we seek to formulate India’s Nepal policy, it cannot be just a question of whether we support the Nepal King or not, or we favour democracy or not. The core question to the answer is whether the policy will safeguard India’s national security and the fundamental interest of protecting her ancient culture.
India that is Hindustan, is and shall of course forever remain an ancient nation of the Hindus and of those who accept and are proud that their ancestors were Hindus.
India is not a new nation founded by the British imperialists or foreign marauders who came before them. Instead, the territory of Akhand Hindustan is the cradle of the Hindu civilization of a people indigenous to it, with a small fusion of foreigners who came sporadically to this land. Just as Ganga remains Ganga even if other rivers merge into it, India remains Hindu in character, even if other cultures have influenced it. India today may be of composite culture, but the core and distinguishing feature is ‘Hindu’. If the Muslims and the Christians of India accept and cherish this fact and also that their ancestors were Hindus, then Indian identity is established, and we all would become one family and equal legatees of Hindu civilization. The moment a Muslim or Christian owns this heritage, we cannot doubt his or her patriotism. At the same time those Hindus who believe in the Aryan-Dravidian race theory are not real Hindus but stooges of foreigners. The Hindustani identity is thus established.
But through terrorism, illegal immigration, religious conversion, and encirclement of India by hostile forces, this identity is sought to be undermined with a long run aim to Balkanize India much as Soviet Union and Yugoslavia had been and unravelled.

Bhutan is under threat from the ULFA, an anti-India terrorist organisation, Bangladesh has come under the influence of Al Qaeda, Srilanka is under attack by the LTTE dominated by Christians and Jaffna Church, and of course, Pakistan which has become the hothouse of all Islamic terrorists. Hence, India is geo-politically surrounded by forces which target the Hindus and no body else.
It is with this perspective that we should formulate India’s policy on Nepal. Such a policy should enhance our national security, protect the Hindus by ensuring that our neighbourhood is freed from sanctuaries breeding anti-Hindustani terrorists, and also further the cause of democracy—in that order of priority.
In Nepal there are three main forces on the ground—the King, the seven party alliance of political parties, and the Maoist terrorists. The King is anti-democratic unlike his predecessor, King Birendra. In the 1960s, King Birendra was a student at Harvard when I was teaching economics there, and soon became his good friend. During Emergency, Birendra helped me to escape from India when there was a MISA warrant out for me, and I had been declared a proclaimed offender with reward for my capture. In 1978, Morarji Desai as PM had asked me to go to Kathmandu to persuade King Birendra to agree to elections even if on a non-party basis. After some friendly arguments with me, King Birendra saw the logic of democracy as an international trend and ordered elections. Thereafter there was peace in Nepal till 1990, when political parties launched an agitation for party-based elections. I had chance to go then to Kathmandu with Chandrashekar and address a public meeting organised by the political parties. I thereafter spoke to King Birendra, and again he saw the logic of public sentiment, and agreed to party-based elections. Peace returned till last year. Today it is no more just a question of restoring democracy.
If it was just a question of democracy, the solution would have been simple. Unlike in the past, there is no agreement in Nepal amongst the three main forces on what would constitute democracy. For the seven party alliance [SPA] democracy is just the revival of the dissolved Parliament. For the Maoists, it is a Constituent Assembly for a new Constitution and for adopting the concept of ‘people’s democracy’, a euphemism for dictatorship by the Maoists. The King has proclaimed fresh elections in April 2007 but left unclear the terms of it. So restoring democracy cannot be a solution till there is agreement on it’s form and structure.
Today, however, the Nepal question for India is multi-dimensional. In one dimension it is how to crush terrorism before it spills over dangerously into India. In another dimension, it is how to cleanse Nepal of anti-Indian foreign intelligence forces who are abetting a coup d’etat. Finally, it is how to make Nepal join the family of democratic nations—with or without the King.
But the foreign-dominated UPA government with a spineless Prime Minister whipped into action by the communist parties of India acting at the behest of their foreign benefactors, are forcing India to support the Maoists to take over amidst chaos, for a spurious concept of democracy. This is disastrous for India.
What then should India do?
I suggest three steps:
Define our priorities as ending terrorism first, then cleansing Nepal of anti-Indian forces, and then adoption of an Indian type quasi-federal Constitution for restoration of democracy.
Seek a Mutual Defence Treaty with Nepal, and post two divisions of the Indian Army in Kathmandu. Offer Indian advisers to the King.
Use our emotional links with SPA to de-link it’s alliance from the Maoists, and to nullify the 12-point SPA-Maoists agreement signed in the fifth-column enclave called the Jawarharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.
Engage China to cooperate in this policy. Mutual interests and compulsions will ensure that such cooperation from China will be forthcoming. And tell the US: “Please stay away. We can manage.”
I urge my new ‘old’ ally, the BJP to make Nepal a debatable issue in the Parliament.
