यसलाई शान्तिपूर्ण राजनीतिको शक्तिका रुपमा लिनुपर्छ। सशस्त्र रुपमा उनीहरुले राजधानीमा रहेको सैनिक मुख्यालय घेर्ने कुरा त असम्भव नै थियो। तर निशस्त्र रुपमा शान्तिपूर्ण रुपमा माअोवादीहरुले आज हजारौंको जुलुस ल्याएर राजधानी काठमाडौंको भद्रकालीमा रहेको सैनिक मुख्यालय घेरे। उनीहरुको माग थियो- बेपत्ता पारिएका उनीहरुका साथीहरुको स्थितिलाई सार्वजनिक गर्नुपर्ने। त्यतिसम्म त ठीकै थियो, तर स्कूलबाट विद्यार्थीहरुलाई ल्याएर राजनीतिक नाराबाजी गर्न लगाएको भने पटक्कै मन परेन। उचित कुरामा दबाब दिन स्कूले विद्यार्थीहरुलाई अगाडि राख्न कति पनि जरुरी थिएन जस्तो मलाई लाग्छ। भित्र फोटो पत्रकार सागर श्रेष्ठका केही फोटोहरु-
कम्प्युटरमा रहेका फाइलहरुलाई सीडीमा ब्याकअप गर्दै थिएँ, अचानक साथी कृष्ण ढुंगानाको फोन आयो- भद्रकालीमा हजारौं माअोवादीले सैनिक मुख्यालय घेरेका छन्। त्यसपछि म पनि त्यहाँ जान क्यामेरा लिएर दौडिहालेँ। सुन्धारामा माइक्रोबाट झरेर भद्रकालीतर्फ लाग्दै गर्दा सेनाले टुँडिखेल मिचेर जग्गा नै पास नगरिकन मनोरञ्जनका लागि बनाएको ‘क्लब’ र सैनिकहरुले परेड खेल्ने ठाउँबाहिर प्रहरीको कडा सुरक्षा देखेँ। शहीदगेटसम्म आइपुग्दा केही विद्यार्थीहरु देखेपछि मैले सोचेको थिएँ- यी स्कूलका विद्यार्थीहरु स्कूल ड्रेसमा कसरी यहाँ आइपुगे ? मैले सुरुमा सोचेको थिएँ- कुन चाहिँ स्कूल छुट्टी भएर यतातिरबाट आएका होलान्। मैले उनीहरु क्रान्तिकारीको कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुन आएका भनेर सोचेको पनि थिइनँ। तर अलि अगाडि बढ्दा त जताततै स्कूल ड्रेसमा छात्रछात्राहरु देखेँ।
ती कलिला स्कूले विद्यार्थीहरु जसलाई राजनीतिको र समेत थाहा छैन होला। उनीहरुलाई भैरवनाथ गण र कर्णेल राजु बस्नेतका ज्यादतिका बारेमा पनि सायदै थाहा होला। तिनीहरु चिच्याइरहेका थिए- ब्यारेक हामी फुटाउँछौं, हाम्रा साथी छुटाउँछौं। एक स्कूले छात्रा इनोसेन्ट भावमा नजिकै उभिएका बन्दूक र लाठी बोकेका प्रहरीलाई भन्दै थिइन्- दाइ हामीलाई चाहिँ नहान्नुस् है। त्यसको ठीक अगाडि उसको सहपाठी छात्रले तर्साउँदै थियो उसलाई- यहाँ त जे पनि हुनसक्छ। प्रहरी जवानले भने ‘हामीलाई नहान्नुस् है’ भन्ने छात्राको अनुनयको जवाफ उत्ताउलो पाराले ‘कहाँ हान्छौं र, हामी त माया पो गर्छौं’ भन्दै दिँदै थिए।
भद्रकाली, सिंहदरबार र थापाथली तीन ठाउँबाट हजारौंले सैनिक मुख्यालयलाई घेरेका रहेछन्। म भने भद्रकाली अगाडितिर मात्र थिएँ। त्यहाँ एउटा वाहनमा माइक राखेर मञ्चको स्वरुप दिइएको थियो र बोल्दै थिए- भैरवनाथ गणमा कठोर यातना खेपेका हिमाल शर्मा।
जताततै स्कूले छात्रछात्राहरुको अनुहारमात्र देखेँ। भद्रकालीबाट सैनिक मुख्यालय पस्ने ठाउँमा सशस्त्र र जनपथ प्रहरीले दुई तीन घेरा सुरक्षा प्रदान गरिरहेको थियो। त्यहीँ बेपत्ता पारिएकाहरुको केही परिवार सडकमा थचक्क बसी धर्ना दिइरहेका थिए। ती बाहेक अधिकांश सहभागी स्कूले छात्रछात्रा थिए। राजधानीका नाम चलेका बोर्डिङ स्कूलहरुबाट स्कूल बसमा नै उनीहरुलाई अोसारिएको रहेछ।
चर्का राजनीतिक भाषण भए त्यहाँ। अबोध देखिने स्कूले छात्रछात्राहरु मच्चीमच्ची ताली पिट्दै थिए। राजालाई स्पेस दिनुपर्छ तर भद्रगोल जेलमा नभए फाँसी दिनुपर्छ भन्दै मञ्चबाट चर्का कुराहरु भइरहेका थिए। तल छात्रछात्राहरु भने गर्मीबाट बच्न छाता अोढ्दै बरफ खाइरहेका थिए।
पछि साथी कृष्ण ढुंगानाले सुनाए अनुसार, हजारौंको जुलुस एकैचोटी सैनिक मुख्यालय घेर्न आएपछि भद्रकालीमा रहेको रेञ्जर बटालियन गणका सैनिकहरु सार्है अत्तालिएका देखिन्थे रे। उनले सेनाले भनेको प्रहरीले नमानेको पनि देखियो आज भन्दै थिए। भएछ के भने गणको ढोकैनिर सहभागीहरुको भीड लागेछ। अनि सेनाले प्रहरीलाई त्यहाँबाट उनीहरुलाई हटाउनु पर्यो भनेर भनेछन्। सेना आफै आउँदा उत्तेजना फैलने निश्चित थियो। प्रहरीले भने कमान्डरलाई सोध्नुपर्छ भनेछन्। कमान्डरलाई सोध्दा पर्दैन यहाँ आइज भनेर भनेछन्। त्यसपछि प्रहरी सबै कमान्डरतिर लाग्दा सेना त हेरेको हेर्यै भएछ। पछि सेना आफैले महिला सेना लगाएर त्यहाँबाट केही सहभागीलाई हटन अनुरोध गर्दै हटाएका रहेछन्।
उनका अनुसार क्रान्तिकारी अध्यक्ष लेखनाथ न्यौपाने पनि भद्रकालीमा हामी यहाँबाट अगाडि बढ्दैनौं, शान्तिपूर्ण रुपमा कार्यक्रम गर्छौं, यो डिआईजीले किन निहुँ खोजेको भन्दै जंगिएछन्।
कार्यक्रम सकिएपछि उनीहरुले विद्यार्थीहरुलाई जहाँबाट ल्याइएको हो त्यहीँ लगेर छाड्न कमान्डरहरुलाई निर्देशन दिए माइकबाट। खुल्लामञ्चमा राखिएका रहेछन् पचासौं स्कूल बसहरु। काठमाडौं, ललितपुर र भक्तपुरबाट ल्याइएका रहेछन् स्कूले विद्यार्थीहरुलाई।
गैरकानुनी रुपमा सेनाले यातना दिएर कुनै पनि नागरिकलाई बेपत्ता पार्नु साँच्चै नै निन्दनीय कार्य हो। यसको विरोध गर्नैपर्छ। अझैसम्म बेपत्ता पारिएकाहरुलाई सार्वजनिक गर्नैपर्छ। उनीहरुको स्थिति सार्वजनिक गराउने माग पक्कै पनि जायज हो। तर यस्तो जायज मागका लागि स्कूले विद्यार्थीहरुको पढाइ नै बिगारेर स्कूल बसमा हालेर आफ्नो कार्यक्रममा भाग लिन लगाउनु कति उचित हो ? मलाई त पटक्कै मन परेन यसो गरेको।
अखिल क्रान्तिकारी विद्यार्थी संगठन हो भन्दैमा स्कूले विद्यार्थीहरुलाई प्रयोग गर्नु जरुरी छैन। सकिन्छ भने देशभरका क्याम्पसहरुबाट उतारे हुन्थ्यो। नभए यो जायज मागका लागि अरु नागरिकहरु पनि आउँथे होलान् नि। किन स्कूलका कलिला बालबालिकाहरुको प्रयोग गर्नुपर्यो ? उनीहरुको अध्ययनमा किन असर पार्नुपर्यो ?
यसो भन्दा माअोवादीहरुले आफ्नै तर्क राख्लान्। तर्कमा माअोवादी माहिर छन्। उनीहरुले भन्लान्, हामीले जबर्जस्ती ल्याएका हैनौं, स्वेच्छाले उनीहरु आएका हुन्। तर वास्तविकता यस्तो पनि हुनसक्छ। माअोवादीहरुले स्कूलमा गएर आज एक दिन विद्यार्थीहरुलाई हाम्रो कार्यक्रममा पठाइदिनु पर्यो भने होलान्। अब माअोवादीले भनेपछि नाईँ भन्ने कसले ? त्यसैले मोर्डन इण्डियन स्कूल (जहाँ अखिल क्रान्तिकारीले पहिले कारबाही समेत गरेका थिए), एलआरआई, वृहस्पति विद्या सदन लगायत राजधानीका नाम चलेका बोर्डिङ स्कूलका विद्यार्थीहरु स्कूल बससहित त्यहाँ आएका थिए।
स्कूलले नाइँ भन्न सकेन, विद्यार्थीहरु एक दिन पढ्न नपर्ने, घुम्न पनि पाइने भनेपछि स्वेच्छा त स्वेच्छा नै हो, तर तरिका राम्रो भयो र ? बेपत्ता पारिएकाहरुको स्थिति सार्वजनिक गर्नुपर्ने जस्तो जायज मागमा स्कूलका विद्यार्थीहरुको उपयोग नाजायज भएन र ? मलाई त स्कूले विद्यार्थीहरुलाई शान्तिर्यालीमा सहभागी गराएको पनि मन पर्दैन। उनीहरुको हैन उमेर त्यसो गर्ने। त्यो उमेरमा उनीहरुलाई पढाइबाहेक अरुमा लगाइनु हुँदैन।
स्कूले जीवन राजनीतिको जीवन पनि हैन। त्यसैले राजनीतिक कार्यक्रममा स्कूले विद्यार्थीहरुको प्रयोगको कुनै अौचित्य म देख्दिनँ। कुन चाहिँ अभिभावकले आफ्नो पढ्न गएको छोरा वा छोरी कुनै राजनीतिक दलको पछि लागेर उनीहरुको कार्यक्रममा नारा लगाउन गएको हेर्न चाहला ? त्यही दलका अन्धभक्तबाहेक कसैले पनि चाहँदैन।
२०४६ सालको परिवर्तनपछि म आफूले भोगेको छु स्कूले विद्यार्थीलाई जबर्जस्ती राजनीतिमा ल्याउने प्रवृत्तिको। अहिलेको रिपोर्टर्स क्लबका अध्यक्ष ऋषि धमला त्यतिबेला नौ कक्षामा हाम्रा सहपाठी थिए। उनले हाम्रो स्कूलमा अखिलको युनियन खोलेका थिए। उनले विद्यार्थीहरुलाई राजनीतिक कार्यक्रममा नाराबाजी गराउन लान्थे। खै के हो माग, केही थाहा थिएन, तर मलाई पनि साथीहरुको लहैलहैमा लागेर घाँटी सुकाएर नारा लगाउन बाध्य पारिएको थियो। राजनीतिको र पनि थाहा थिएन त्यतिबेला मलाई।
अहिले यी विद्यार्थीहरुले नारा लगाइरहेको देख्दा पनि मैले त्यतिबेलाको अबोधपना र लाचारीपनालाई सम्झिरहेको थिएँ।

We can understand the dpet of support of maoists in grass root level by their action. Any big party say UML or NC didnot show such lowly protest mechanism forcing school students by threatening them to come for the protest. It clearlu shows the hold of maoists in adult students. It was very good comments written by kantipur publication today about it. Maoists must refrain from doing such unhumane act of using children and schoolstudent for poltical slogans. Can anyone jsutify the use of school student brought forcibly. Owner in boarding school and teachers have no choice but to agree to send and arrange for such demosntration unwillingly due to threatening language and guns with maoists. One can understand the “birod” by its own activists not in army headquarter but in front of singha darbar asking Nepal government to make it out. Either leaders in maoist party extremely immature poltically or they are playing theis game to start war again. What happens if others who hvaeben subjected to similar torture , killing and forcibly displacement by maoists start f\doing similar thing in front of their army. I didnot see anyone telling this except kantipur. let us hope that such humane low activites will not be done by maoists in future and will be seen as truely democratic not autocratic party. But the sign is yet ot be seen.

Again, this is a weakness of the present government. Directly or indirectly, the present Girija government is protecting the Nepal Army. The government should have already done this job “whereabouts of missing citizens”.

Umeshji, I agrre with your point that no organization of any kind specially politcal forces like maoists must not use scholl children for their politcal gain. Child right must be protected and all children must get chance to go to school with good food and good environment. Government must ensure it. Where is the government. Todays child is tommorrows adult and leader in the country. spontanous and willing celebaration of events of national importance to mark the unity, harmony, and positive gain for all sections of the society is no problem as long as it is not forced, dictated and with the particpation from all starta of the society. If any political force is really working for child’s right, it must avoid such repetition. Are maoists listening. If such thing happens what is the difference between autocratic kingship and them who do it today.?

All kinds of torture and kaidnapping and murder must be punished be that by army, police, maobadi or others. There is a saying” those who are honest and propagate nonviolance has every right to demand such thing from all concerned and we nepali must understand that violence gives violence in vicious cycle. As raised above, it is not good to bring school students(boarding) by force to show only crowd.
For non violence it is good to aprticipate but not any political gain of a single party.
Let us hope that maoists understand the importance of non violence culture and propagate it and chnage whole sequences that is gong on in our country for the last 10 years.

I am always against the way maoist run their programs. They blame king as the biggest enemy of the country but I see maoist as the biggest threat. They are the person who has divided nepal in the name of religion, in the name of region, in the name of caste. They believe in ‘break and rule’. Now see how low they can turn. Why bring school children for this purpose. Because they have no any identity at college level students and they cannot threat them to come for such program and neither can they threat the college staffs to pressurize the students so only the way they found was to threat the school staffs and then bring the students. And there is not a single word from self reclaimed ‘Buddijibi’ on this open human right violation of the school children.

विध्यार्थीको कार्यक्रम हो, सहभागी हुदैँमा त बेठिक होइन शान्तिपुर्ण भएको खन्डमा। तर हुलदँगा तथा निसेधित छेत्रमा लान पाइदैँन,किनकि यसमा प्रहरिको लाठिचार्ज हुन सक्छ। अर्को कुरा त्यसरी लएको छात्र-छात्रालाइ माओवादि नारा लगाउन नभई पहिले बेपत्ता पारेको कुराहरु, यातनाको कुराहरु जानकारि गराई मात्र स्थिती सार्वजानिक गर् भन्ने नारा लगाइ दबाब दिनु बुद्दिमानि हो। माओवादिलाई बुद्दि पलाओस।
High time for the maoists to appear in the cities and occupy all the authorities and time for Nepal Army to go into the jungle. All the civilian to stay at home avoiding works. Housewives to go for shopping. Political leaders go for foreign visits. Children either go to streets, join the protests or go for doping.
whatelse we can do for popularizing Nepal amidst of other countries?
Pitiful and despicable exhibition by maoist using poor school kids as human shield.
GP opened the door for maoist to come to KTM. They (maoist) can attack Army any time. Why in the world they put those innocent kids in jeopardy. For the sake of Pasupatinath please do not use those school kids as human shield.
Such type of practice and exihibition should be condemned from every social and political bodies.
This is just a begining. The Nepali tradition will be followed by everybody, even Maoist are not untouched by our student political tradition. It is sad, but no choice for us.

we missed them , the nepali army has to reply to the people and family . the bhairabnath gan has to desulve and hsa to action who was involve that event and where is human right in nepal army ? i support parchand’s comment about the army . they have to come under the law .as soon as possible .

Once you believe on peace, respect for each other than everthing will be possible which was not possible even in your dream. To be ownest, I had always cruel picture of Prachanda when they were in war because everyday I witness many houses scattered and its really painful (I don’t mean who is right or wrong but he was also a cause to happen those). I had never thought one day I will consider him as broad minded, humorous and nice person once he remove the scarey mask from his face (I wish similar change we can see on all individuals belongs to his party) .
