अपडेट अन्ततः माओवादीसहितको २२ सदस्यीय अन्तरिम सरकार बनेको छ । अन्तरिम सरकारका मन्त्रीहरुलाई आजै संसदमा प्रधानमन्त्रीले शपथ ग्रहण गराउनु भएको थियो ।
अपडेट (अपराह्न १:१६) लामो समयको खिचातानीपछि अन्ततः आज बल्ल माअोवादीसहितको आठ दलको अन्तरिम सरकार बन्न अब केही मिनेट मात्र बाँकी छ। काँग्रेस सभापति गिरिजाप्रसाद कोइराला राजनीतिक सहमतिका आधारमा नेपालका शक्तिशाली अन्तरिम प्रधानमन्त्री बनिसक्नुभएको छ। उहाँ अन्तरिम प्रधानमन्त्री सर्वसम्मतिले बन्नुभएको घोषणा सभामुखले १ बजेर १४ मिनेटमा गर्नुभएको थियो। त्यसलगत्तै अन्तरिम संसदको बैठकमा उहाँले शपथ ग्रहण गर्नुभयो। यसपालिको शपथ ग्रहणमा ‘ईश्वरको नाममा शपथ खान्छु’ भन्ने वाक्यांश राखिएको छैन। यो सरकारको मुख्य काम असार छ गते संविधान सभाको निर्वाचन गराउनु रहनेछ। बाँकी अपडेट भित्र
नवनियुक्त प्रधानमन्त्री कोइरालाले शपथपछि संसदलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै नयाँ आएका सांसदलाई उत्तेजनामा नआई केही कालका लागि संसदमा अवरोध नगर्न अनुरोध गर्नुभयो। प्रधानमन्त्री बनाएर मात्र हुँदैन, सहयोग पनि सबैले गर्नुपर्छ- उहाँले भन्नुभयो। नेपालमा सुरु भएको नयाँ अध्यायमा सबै एकजुट भएर अगाडि बढ्नुपर्ने आग्रह उहाँले गर्नुभयो। शान्तिसुरक्षा आजदेखि हुन्छ भन्ने प्रतिवध्दता पनि उहाँले व्यक्त गर्नुभयो।
पद भनेको ठूलो कुरा हैन, गरेर देखाउनु पर्छ भन्दै जुन दिन सक्दिनँ त्यो दिन मैले खुला रुपमा सक्दिनँ भनेर फिर्ता गर्छु भनी उहाँले बताउनु भयो।
त्यसपछि संसद एक घण्टाका लागि स्थगित भएको घोषणा सभामुखले १ बजेर २६ मिनेटमा गर्नुभयो। अर्को बैठकमा अन्तरिम मन्त्रिमण्डलले शपथ ग्रहण गर्नेछ।
यसअघि उहाँलाई प्रधानमन्त्री बनाउन राखिएको प्रस्तावलाई समर्थन गर्दै नेमकिपाका अध्यक्ष नारायणमान बिजुक्छेले अन्तरिम संविधानमा जेठमा संविधानसभाको चुनाव भनिएको भए पनि अहिले असारको छ गते भनिएको उल्लेख गर्दै त्यसका लागि संविधान संशोधन गर्नुपर्दैन ? के संविधान कागजको खोस्टा हो ? भन्ने प्रश्न राखेका थिए। त्यस्तै राप्रपाका अध्यक्ष पशुपति शमशेर राणाले आठ दलको सुझाव लिने बानी नभए पनि मुफ्तको सल्लाह दिन्छु भन्दै नेपाली आठ दलको कमारो नभएको बताउनु भयो। आठ दलको सम्झौताको खात लगाउने बानी भएको तर्फ खिसी गर्दै उनले प्रतिपक्षको कदर गर्न सिक्न पनि सुझाव दिए। जनमोर्चाका परि थापाले रोचक सम्बोधन गर्दै संविधान सभाको निर्वाचनको कुरालाई सिसिफसको कथासित तुलना गरे। सिसिफसको ढुंगा डाँडोमा पुर्याउने जिम्मा प्रधानमन्त्रीको काँधमा आएको भन्दै उनले भने- गार्होसार्हो परे हामी पनि ठेल्ने काम गरौँला।

कुरो मिल्यो, एमालेपछि हट्यो: पद र वरिष्ठताको विवाद सकिएको छ। भर्खरै सम्पन्न आठ दलको बैठकले काँग्रेसका रामचन्द्र पौडेललाई नै प्रधानमन्त्रीपछिको वरिष्ठ मन्त्री बनाउने निर्णय गरेको छ। वरिष्ठता नदिए एमालेले सरकारमा नजाने चेतावनी दिएको थियो। तर आज भने एमालेले अडान छाडेको छ। हिजो प्रधानमन्त्री कोइरालाले सहानाको नाम नरुचाएपछि एमालेलाई नेतृत्व परिवर्तन गर्न सुझाव दिनुभएको थियो। तर एमालेले बरु सरकारमा जान्नौँ तर निर्णय फेर्दैनौँ भनेका थिए। अब विवाद सुल्झिएपछि भने माअोवादीसहितको अन्तरिम सरकार आजै बन्ने बाटो खुला भएको छ। आठ दलले असार ६ गते संविधान सभाको निर्वाचन गर्ने प्रस्ताव पनि गरेको छ।
अब अन्तरिम संसदको बैठक बस्नेछ। त्यसमा प्रधानमन्त्री गिरिजाप्रसाद कोइरालाले राजीनामा दिनुहुनेछ। त्यसपछि अन्तरिम प्रधानमन्त्रीका रुपमा उहाँलाई अन्तरिम संसदले चयन गर्नेछ। उहाँले (छैठौँ पटक हो क्यारे) प्रधानमन्त्री पदको शपथ ग्रहण गर्नुहुनेछ- यसपालि राजाको हातबाट हैन सार्वभौम संसदका सामु। अन्तरिम राष्ट्राध्यक्ष समेत हुनुभएका उहाँ नेपालका सबैभन्दा शक्तिशाली प्रधानमन्त्री हुनुहुनेछ।
प्रधानमन्त्रीको शपथ ग्रहणपछि माअोवादीसहितका २६ सदस्यीय मन्त्रिमण्डलले संसदमा प्रधानमन्त्रीबाट शपथ ग्रहण गर्नेछन्। एक दशकभन्दा बढी समय सशस्त्र युद्ध गरेका तत्कालीन विद्रोही माअोवादीहरु केन्द्रीय सरकारका मन्त्री बनेर सिंहदरबारबाट बाहिरिनेछन्।
त्यसपछि प्रधानमन्त्री कोइराला अपराह्न ४ बजे सार्क सिखर सम्मेलनमा भाग लिन नयाँ दिल्ली जानुहुनेछ। प्रधानमन्त्रीसँग पुराना परराष्ट्रमन्त्री केपी अोली भने अब त्यहाँ जानु हुनेछैन। उहाँ नत्र हिजोको दिन भारत जाने कार्यक्रम थियो।

You are 100% recist.Gurung represantion is high in this cabinate what’s wrong with. Surname must not a basis of selecting a minister. You clearly unhappy with Girija as he is Bahun. It is a clear EXAMPLE of that how much you have racist feeling in your mind. Majority of leadrs have not seen no other alternatives to Girija who can challenge the King and represent all 8 parties. You see his as BAhun. As per your verson party leaders, PM should base on race basis. Can you put a X Pokharel a PANDIT from village as PM being a Bahun or an Dr OM Gurung being a Gurung, the answer is NO.
We should stand beyond the race or language. In USA or Australia where live more than 200 natinalities but governance is not race basis. You can preserve individual culture by their way.Even fanatic Muslims are maintening their culture by officially speaking an English. Not like we are fighting for Pahadi and Madhesi, Bahun or Newar.

It’s been nearly a month since I last came here, and it’s been a good day to return. Atleast got to hear relatively good news. How the recently formed cabinet will work – we are yet to see, but I do have to congratulate and wish them all the very best.
I’m not a pessimist by nature, but when it comes to political scenario in Nepal I can’t help but be somewhat pessimist. I try to console myself by trying to use the word ‘concerned’ rather than ‘pessimist’ but I know very well both of them mean the same in reality.
When the same old system selection process is used to appoint/select cabinet members, how are we to see any change in the political system they are going to bring about in future?? Look at those hypocrits who call themselves ‘radical’ – haven’t they used the same old selection process as well??
Politics is politics. It does take time to settle all the power struggle. I admit. But what about the bureaucracy? After the cosmetic change in names of various ministries, agencies and institutions, I can’t see any move taken for factual changes. What’s the plan for changing all the citizenship certificates? What’s the plan for changing the passports? Adding an ammendment on the old passports reduces the already diminished credibility of Nepali passports. I do understand the financial issue behind all these changes, but the bigger issue I see is no one seems to be interested in making the change. Recently a bank note was issued in a hurry which looked horrible… and the new emblem hurriedly designed which is even worse. I’ve been away from news for some time… but what’s happening with the new anthem? Everyone seems to be so occupied by political junk – which we can’t really change instead of focussing on issues we can have an impact on.
Fools day n what a day the nepal gov chose to form an interim gov. good job,but aint those parlimentarian making a fools day celebration to the whole country? creatin a fools gov?

about the matter of cast raise my gorkhaliji i m not agree with those thing because this is not the age that u are talikg about this and that cast and the way he told bhaunism. i don’t think that anyone can be jude by his cast. whether he is brahmin or belong to backward cast its not the matter to think ,only things that matter is whether one can be able to handle his job properly or not. being so much educated also u jude the people on the basis of cast then just imagine those people who are from village who are illiterate who had been grown up on those society just like from those village where it is hard to find one person who can read. u know whats the condition of remote nepal.well its on u all people.

If leaders and ministers only think how win in Election like they did before then CA poll will have any significant. Ater CA election all the political disputes must be resolve. Party , leaders and political organization should not obstacle people and country after CA election. We ,Nepali , want to move to the path of development and prosperity. There should not be any political problems.

i completely agree what mr.gorkhali has stated and no new nepal will rise without the inclusion of ethnic minority but actally who are on the majority of the population of the country.
no state will be developed without the inclusion of all the ethnic group so if the govt that include all the ethnic group will not be formed then there is no hope for the dvelopement of nepal.
anthony ji it is not the matter of country being divided but the question is of one ethnic group ruling over so many others for such a long period of time and trying to rule the country for their benifit only.

Don’t you see the country is being rules in the name of the caste? One must be blind to ignore it. Why should it be only for a few castes?? Those narrow minded in the government only look after themselves and their relatives. Where is the room left for others to join?
The Panchayat regime made a blunder by fostering only a few castes, results of which we all are having to face in the form of a civil war.
There are those who sucked the blood of Nepal till the last drop, who enjoyed the priviledge in one way or the other and completely forgot other groups. Those groups are rising, Anthony sir. Be aware.
It is easy to lecture other and superficially blamed others for not coming up, but what have the governments in the last four decades done for the people who were left behind. Nothing.
Just by saying a multi culture, multi ethnic, etc., is not enough. They must act accordingly. If you see the composition of the ministers, you will see that the silent groups are IGNORED AND NEGLECTED. Should they come up on the streets??

There are those people who look cultured and civil and in public they say, oh yes, all Nepalis must get equal opportunity, but just behind the scene, they all are working to satisfy their needs at the cost of others. Prime Minister needs help and support from the other members because it is a Government of seven parties. It is very important that there should be a collective decision making where every party is involvement. He cannot make unilateral decisions without consultation with eight parties, dictate to the eight parties what he want, whom he want and how he wants. He should not forget that this is Milijuli Sarkar. He should give priorities to spend more time with the eight parties to solve the problems than meeting the American Ambassador or attend the wedding Ceremony of Deviyani former play met of Deepend whose love affair caused the palace massacre.

This government is the form of compromise and understanding, and not the power struggle and show off. UML has sacrifice greatly for the welfare of the nation and did not fight for the post and power instead showed flexibility to soothen the tense and pave the way for the peaceful election campaign. 1. No one should trust UML now. In the name of ministerial posts, they changed their stand. It would have been better if UML had not joined the government.
There is no confidence on UML that they will keep their words. They make promises and change them next day.
2. It is really a sad for the country. Koirala would NOT accept anyone other than a relative or a bahun next to him. They all know that Koirala may go anytime before the election.
3. What about the representation of other groups in the cabinet? Just like before, the same 3-4 castes are heavily represented in the cabinet. So, where is the change from the previous way of handling it? What is the use of Janaandolan II?
Since everything in Nepal works based on what caste you belong to, I thought at least other castes would also be given representation in the cabinet.
Same old, same old. Tamangs, Sherpa, Tharu, Thakalis —please take a note of it when the parties come to you for vote during the elections. Just spit them in their face be they NC, NC Tantrik, UML, Maoists or any other who did not include you.
