मन्त्रिपरिषद्को अहिले भर्खरै सकिएको बैठकले तीन वटा महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्णय गरेको त्यहाँ रहनुभएका पत्रकार जयरामजीले जानकारी दिनुभएको छ। सरकारले १२ देशका राजदूतहरुलाई फिर्ता बोलाउने निर्णय गरेको छ। यी राजदूतहरु शाही सरकारको निरंकुशताको पक्षमा खुलेर लागेका थिए। फिर्ता बोलाइएका राजदूतहरुमा भारत, फ्रान्स, चीन, रुस, कतार, साउदी अरब, म्यान्मार, थाइल्याण्ड, पाकिस्तान, अमेरिका, बेलायत, जापान रहेका छन्। मोराहरु कति न के-के न पाउँला भनेर निरंकुशताको प्रचार गर्दै थिए, खुच्चिङ पर्यो !
तपाईँहरु यी फिर्ता बोलाइएका राजदूतहरुको देशमा बस्नुहुन्छ भने धेरथोर यी राजदूत (ए अब त पूर्व राजदूत) हरुका कर्तूतहरुका बारेमा जानकार हुनुहुन्छ होला। लौ न म लगायत अरु पाठकहरुलाई पनि यिनीहरुले निरंकुशताको प्रचार गर्न के-केसम्म गरेका थिए, तल कमेन्टमा लेखेर बताइदिनुस् न।
त्यसैगरी असोज १८ मा हामीमा निहीत राज्यसत्ता भन्दै राजाले सत्ता हातमा लिएपछि गरिएका सबै राजनीतिक नियुक्तिहरु बदर गरिएका छन्। मतलब अब संस्थान, प्राधिकरण वा त्यस्ता अन्य ठाउँमा भएका सम्पूर्ण राजनीतिक नियुक्तिहरु खारेज भएका छन्।
तर निजामति नियुक्ति भने खारेज गर्ने निर्णय भइसकेको छैन। अर्थात् लोकमानसिंह कार्की लगायतकाको जागीर भने अझै सुरक्षित नै छ। ल बधाई छ, लोकमानसिंह। अब दुई चार दिन त हो।
त्यसैगरी जयरामजीले दिनुभएको जानकारी अनुसार मन्त्रिपरिषद्को बैठकले गरेको अर्को निर्णय हो- नेपाल मेडिकल एसोसिएसनका डा. सुधा शर्माको संयोजकत्वमा जनआन्दोलन उपचार समन्वय कमिटीको गठन। यो कमिटीले जनआन्दोलनका क्रममा घाइते भएकाहरुको उपचारको सम्पूर्ण जिम्मा लिनेछ। घाइतेहरुलाई विदेशमा उपचार गराउन लानु पर्ने भए पनि यसै कमिटीको सिफारिशमा सरकारले लानेछ। त्यसैगरी कुरुवा बस्नेहरुलाई केही अप्ठ्यारो भएमा उनीहरुको सुविधाका लागि गर्नुपर्ने कामहरु पनि यसैले गर्नेछ।

I am disappointed with government decision to recall ambassador. I have been living in Thailand for last five years. The present Ambassador is probably the best so far. You can check this with any Nepali residing in Thailand. The stupid SPA government took such a bias decision without taking into consideration of individual merit. If someone is really good, it does not matter who appointed them

Of course, voiding these political (personal) appointments made by Gyanendra was only one of the many necessary steps to be taken toward correcting the abuse of state power and toward halting the propagation of medieval fiefdom in Nepal. Steps like this add up.
Those Gyanendra ambassadors that were actively engaged in activities aimed against the people’s movement should also be put on trial. Gyanendra’s current ambassador in Washington, DC, is an example. He has been a sorry excuse for a diplomat and not fit to be in that position. His behavior has been disgusting. The Nepalese government should have the word “royal” removed from its embassies abroad. The traditional and de facto mission of the Nepalese ambassadors and ambassies has been to serve the royal family and their servants; this needs to stop.

Why only in Nepal we recall our diplomatic ambassadors after some political change?
Is it because our bureaucratic body is nothing but the piece of shit? Why? Are all those people who went through the PSC are invalid or inept or corrupt.
The bottom line here is no one wants our bureaucratic body strong. King never wanted that and all our former head of the states followed the king’s formula for their vested interest. For example, look at the past 10 years or so called democracy, for every government change we change all these appointees and wasted large sum of country’s valuable resource. I hope we all learn from this and coming government will put much effort on this matter (strengthening the bureaucratic body) to make our country better.

I have witnessed a recent situation here in USA, when as soon as Girija came into power few years back he recalled the previous ambassador from here. I am not saying whether it was good or bad, but I am saying the amabassador should be accountable to the country and its people not to the foreign minister back in Nepal.

Parliament asked for resignation of CIAA cheif Surya Nath Upadhya, but why?
Was these the crimes he did..
– Arrested Chiranjibi Wagle, Gupta and Khume for corruption
– Arrested 21 criminal and corrupt government official of Finance ministry
– Arrested many more corrupt government official
Remember
– Surya Nath was not appointed by king but by democratic government before Oct 2002
– The law used by CIAA to arrest all corrupt criminals were passed through parliament before its dissolution
– CIAA never bowed in front of palace, thats why palace formed special illegal commission to take its political revenge action.
– CIAA never carried out any political revengful action to help king
If this government takes action against CIAA, it will be a sad action, and will only be strengthen our fear that leaders have not realized their mistake. They are paving their way for corruption again. By taking action against who fought for corruption, this government will prove that it will support and further strenghthen corruption
Lastly, I have no personal relation wiht Surya Nath or any one in CIAA but I strongly support what he and CIAA did for fight for corruption.

१) राजदुतावासमा सैनिक सहचारी (military attache) तुरन्त हटाइनुपर्छ; यो खर्चिलो मात्र होइन यसको उपादेयता र उत्पादकत्व केहि छैन। अनर्थमा गरीव देशलाई आर्थिक बोझ किन?
२) नया राजदुतले कार्यभार सम्हाल्न अघि नै राजदुतावासले के उपलब्धि गर्न उदेश्य राख्ने हो र त्यसको पुर्ति र प्रगति वारे बार्षिक अनिवार्य रुपमा समीक्षा र सही मुल्याँकन गरिनुपर्छ। हचुवा परम्परालाई सदैवको निम्ति विदा दिन पर्छ।
विगतमा हाम्रा राजदुतावासहरु दरवार, दरवार नजीक र शक्ति र नाता-मित्रगणका श्रोतहरुलाई पर्यटन, औषधिउपचार,अध्ययन र गेस्ट हाउसको केन्द्र मात्र रह्यो। साधारण नेपाली जनताले रुखो वचन मात्र सुन्न पर्यो।
३) राजदुतावासले फलानोको जन्म दिवस र नेपालवाट फलानो भीआईपी आएको मौका पारी मनपरी खर्च गरने परम्परा तोडिनु पर्यो। मितव्ययिता अपनाऊनुपर्यो। फजुलखर्ची दिनहरु गए अव, जनता पहरादार रहनेछन।
४)राजदुतावासले नेपालीहरुलाई राष्ट्रिय दिवसको भोजमा अथवा त्यस्तै अवसरमा वोलाँऊदा एउटा छुट्टै कोष स्थापना गरी जनहिको हिसावले यति दिने भनेर नाम लेखेर पठाऊनुपर्यो र सो रकम समुदायको सहमतिमा विशेष तोकिएको कामको लागि नेपाल पठाईनपर्छ। नेपाली जनताले दुख गरेर कर तिरेको पैसामा किन फोकटियामा खाने? भोज वा ककटेलमा जाने नेपालीहरुले सहर्ष जनही तिर्न हिचकिचाउने छैनन जबसम्म यसरी उठाईका रकमको सदुपयोग गरिने योजना र कार्यान्वयनमा विश्वस्तता देखिनेछन।
नयाँ तरिकाले जनताको हितमा काम गर्नपर्यो। राजदुतावासमा म फलानोको मान्छे भनेर धाक जमाउने र दरवार परस्ती सँस्कारलाई जरैवाट उखेलिनु पर्छ।
कति खालि कम्प्लेन मात्र के गरने? जनताको सरकारले सुनिदिएला भनेर यी सुझाव राखेको हुँ।

The government has also done remarkable work by calling back the regressive forces.
The Ranas, generals and durbariya conspirators are called back again.
Ambassador to France Prajjwol Shumsher Rana, UK Prabal Shumsher Rana, Thailand General Tara Bahadur Thapa and Burma General Victory Shumsher Rana.
All are Ranas royal regressive and and except Prabal all are generals. The love of the King to the generals reflect in the appointment.
These are the worst generals and must be boycotted by the nepalese people.
Prabal Shumsher of UK hosts royal family members and relatives and he has nothing to do with the concern of the Nepalese people. There are many Gurkhas and others and he does not care about that. He is busy to drink with Rajib , Jwain of Dhirendra. He has bought a house and live in the London embassy while other staffs are compelled to live outside.
The employees of the embassy said that the exploitations of Rana and Royal members consider the embassy as their own private house. Prabal is one of the man behind the coup of the king.
Kedar Bhakta Shrestha and Karna Dhoj adhikari are the most incapable ambassadors and even cannot speak a few sentence.
Shrestha was the foreign secretary and known as incapable to the post and was appointed due to the business link of king and adhikari was the chief secretary and said to be unknown in diplomatic sector.
All these are the regressive elements and it shows that the cards house of the king.
All of us know Hiranya Lal Shrestha, who was a spy of the Royal palace. Member of CPN,UML used to pass the party information to the palace and was rewarded for that.
The Nepalese political leaders — of course, including the SPA leaders — are too used and addicted to retail politics. They are into business-as-usual. They have never demonstrated any ability to think and act outside the box. As history shows, at every single historic moment in Nepal, the political leaders have betrayed the Nepalese people and sided with autocracy and aristocracy. These leaders have only served the interest of the blood-suckers. They may belong to different parties but their background, thinking, attitude, morality and interests are basically the same. Over the last several years, these leaders served their own individual and collective interests, and the interests of the Gyanendra, and never hesitated a moment to let the ordinary Nepalese suffer and die. How can we expect them to suddenly transform, become enlightened, overnight, and act like people’s leaders? A great misfortune of the Nepalese people. Very, very sad, indeed.

I don’t consider calling back the ambassoders of 12 countries is the solution of the problem. When each time there is government change one can predict easily that some sort of diplomatic changes will take place .This is not a new thing . Our politicians are suffering from the same mentality as they had 15 years back. They could never consider bureaucracy as their working machinary , rather they are always afraid of it . Politicians should be able to use the bureacracy of the best lot for the best interest of the people rather than dealing with them in vindicative manner .
This shows their weakness and not their strength . The poloticians should gain the ability to deal with existing situation without making changes to the bureaucracy as the beauracracy is just the one who is supposed to carry and implement the instructions of the Government .

I am delighted to hear the news that the kiss-up and slap-down Nepali Ambassador to the US is going to sent back. Many of us are aware that he has been practively engaged in setting up pro-royal lobbying group in the US. This is understabdable because he was sent here as “His Majesty’s” ambassador. I hope that the new government would establish clear code of conduct for ambassdors. This has to be made transparent and let the Nepali in each country evaluate about their conduct and effectiveness. Enough of “His Majesty’s” ass-kissers!

The SPA government has amde impressive decions:
mainly to withdraw few royal ambassadors and
to form a recommendation team for medical treatment of the injured persons in the country.
What do you think about the limited authority of the Nepal medical association given by the SPA government? For me, it reads like the authority has been limited only to the injured persons during the Janaandolan time. Should not the authority be extended to recommend for the treatment of the injured persons during the conflict in the nation since 1996? Could you write what you think about this?
I fully agree the views posted by Janardan Karki above. To be more fair to all, the present SPA government should also make policy to provide medical treatments for those who were injured by the royal state authorities (RNA and Police) during the armed conflict in the country. The injured persons have been still facing big problem to get proper medical treatments. The Royal Army and police got treatment immediately from the national fund (the taxed paid money by the people). The SPA government makes policy to provide treatment only for those who were injured and the support to the relatives of those who were killed during the last three weeks of demonstartion. Who will take care of the rest of the injured persons in the country?
In my opinion, the treatment and support policy must be extended to cover all the injured persons in the country. They were infact fighting against the feudal royal state, who did not wanted to solve political conflict peacefully.
I suggest that the authority of the Nepal Medical Association should not be limited only to recommend for the treatment of the injured persons during the “Janaandolan” time but also it should be expanded to work for the injured persons during the conflict since 1996.
In my opinion, it is completely unfair or biased to decide for the partial injured people in the country. Every body should have equal right in the changed political environment. I suggest to CPN(M to raise this concern during the dialogoe with SPA or the SPA government.

But, however, Hong kong acting consulate General Bhattarai should also be recalled because he was one of the supressor of the popular movement in coperation with Ramesh Nath Pandey. He is the only one consulate General who never aqccepted protest letter by himself thereby dominating general nepali residing in Hong Kong. so he should also be recalled by this popular government of Nepal eventhough he is civil servant.

there is a filipenese worker in our Nepali Embassy in tokyo Japan, do you beleave ? How he beheave to nepali people, on of my friend told me that just after a day neplalese in japan show the solidarity infront of Embassy and my friend reach there to renew passport but the Philipino staff ask him not stay my friend inside Embassy , hole day he wait out side and atlast he got a hand written fill up passport with such hand writting and mistakes even 5 years old kids have than that, I really feel same. Recantly issu passport from tokyo you will chech any one for the proof, how great our Embassidor he dont have any Nepali who can work in Emabassy or what was his purpose behind it? Responding your call to comment the conduct of Nepali Ambassodor, let me put my impression of Japanese Ambassador Dr. Rameshanand Baidhya.
Given his academic background and intelectual standing, his performance during Ganendra raj was simply pathetic. When ever he got some public forum, he made every attempt to elaborate the “democratic intent” of king. Often he attempted to defend Gyanendra’s rule even going beyond a diplomat`s grace and norms. His statments and speeches used to be more loaded than those of Kamal Thapa or Tulsi Giri. Once, I was so surprised that he made an elaborate literature review (and research) collecting writings of pro-dictatorial authors and tried to give intelectual legitimacy to Gyanendra Raaj.
In a nutshell, when it comes to his anti-democratic role, I think, he is more villian than some ex-general Ambassador.
Most importantly, it was learnt that Dr. Baidya threatened pro-democracy activists in Tokyo.
I think he deserves not only calling back, but he should also be black listed among intelectuals. Otherwise, he can bounced back and can easily change the color.
