मामाको राष्ट्रिय गानको गाथा लेखिसकेपछि थोरै पाठकले ब्लगमै प्रतिक्रिया लेखेर त केही चिनेजानेका पाठकले फोनै गरेर मामाको (प्ररागा) प्रस्तावित राष्ट्रिय गान (अहिलेसम्म मामाको कविता) पढ्न पाए हुन्थ्यो, भन्ने आशय व्यक्त गर्नुभयो।
पत्रिकाले सात दिन कुर्दा पनि अहिलेसम्म मामाको कविता नछापेकाले अब ब्लगमा राख्दा कुनै आक्षेप लाग्दैन होला। नेपालमा कहिलेकाहीँ नाम नचलेका लेखकको एउटै लेख एकै दिन दुई वटा राष्ट्रिय दैनिकमा छापिएको छ। अझ कतिपय अवस्थामा त एउटा राष्ट्रिय दैनिक पत्रिकाले छापेको दुई चार दिनपछि अर्को राष्ट्रिय दैनिक पत्रिकाले हुबहु त्यही लेख छापेको उदाहरण पनि छ।
सम्पादकहरुले आफ्नो बाहेक अर्काको पत्रिका हेर्दैनन् र हो कि – तर यसमा लेखकलाई नै दोषी ठानिन्छ । बिचरा लेखकले एउटै लेख भिन्न भिन्न पत्रिकामा पठाउ“दा रहेछन्, एउटाले नछापे अर्काले त छाप्छ होला नि भनेर। अनि कहिलेकाहीँ दुईवटै पत्रिकाले सोही लेख प्रकाशित गर्छन्। तर, सम्पादकले त्यो कुरा थाहा पाए भने बिचरा लेखक कालो सूचिमा पर्दा हुन्।
जे होस् भोलिसम्म मामाको (प्ररागा) प्रस्तावित राष्ट्रिय गान पत्रिकामा नआउला आइहाले पनि ब्लगमा पनि त्यही राष्ट्रिय पत्रिकामा दिएको राष्ट्रिय गान प्रेषित गरेको छु।
मामाले यस अगाडि मलाई राष्ट्रिय गानका लागि लामो कविता दिनुभएको थियो, तर पछि आफूले लामो चाहिँ गान फिर्ता लिएर यो छोटो चाहीँ राष्ट्रिय गान (कविता) दिनुभएको हो।
तपाईँलाई पढ्न मन लागे यही कविताको विस्तृत रुप पनि टक्र्याउँला। अहिलेलाई यसैमा चित्त बुझ्छ कि –
प्रस्तावित राष्ट्रिय गान
नेपाली माटो बुद्धको बाटो सगरमाथाको,
हिमाल, पहाड, तराईवासी नेपाली जातिको ।
नदी र खोला प्रकृति श्रोतको गरेर विकास,
शहीदको मर्म भावना सङ्गै दिएर निकास ।
स्वाभिमानी भै स्वतन्त्र रहोस् जाति र धर्मको,
बिना भेदभाव एकताभित्रै नेपाली मर्मको ।
शिलालेख सङ्गै अनन्त रहोस् टल्कँदै हिमाल,
सीता, भृकुटीको माइती देश पवित्र नेपाल ।
मित्रता सङ्गै मित्रता राख्दै वीरका सन्तान,
लोकतन्त्रलाई उन्नत पारौं बनाऊ देश महान ।।।

I don’t think “Rato ra Chandra, Surya” will make a national anthem. No offence to anyone or anything, but this song is more like a war song, that used to be sung in medieval wars. Don’t get me wrong here, I love the song, even remixed by 1974AD. It is very energetic, passionate and spirit lifting song but I don’t think it is a suitable song for an anthem.
लोकतन्त्र र गणतन्त्रको अहिलेको दन्तबझानमा म कामरेडहरुलाई वर्तमान हिमालखबरपत्रिकामा लेखिएको कनकमणी दिक्षितको लेख पढ्ने सल्लाह दिन चाहन्छु ।
अब मामा र अनगिन्ति अरु पनि मामाहरूको राष्ट्रीयगान र लडाकूहरुको बन्दूकै बोकेर सबैकाम( खेतदेखि बिहे सम्म) फत्ते पार्ने फोटाहरु देखे पछि भने देश बन्ने कुरामा ढुक्क भइयो ।
त्यो अन्तरिम संविधान बनाउने गठित समितिका मनुष्यहरुलाई पनि एक एक सेट कम्ब्याट ड्रेस र एक एक थान बन्दुक बोकेको फोटाहरु खिच्ने व्यवस्था गराउन पर्यो ता कि उनीहरु पनि क्रान्तकारी देखियून ।
अस्ति बजेट भाषण गर्दा रामशरणलाई त्यस्तै पहिरनमा उतारेको भए त डरलाग्दो क्रान्तिकारी देखिन्थे गाँठे-अजंगको शरीर र त्यो दारीमय डरलाग्दो अनुहारमा ।
मलाई शंका मात्र हैन विश्वास नै लाग्न थालेको छ अब नेपालमा फेरि यो टाटेपाङ्ग्रे लुगाको क्रेज शुरुहुने वाला छ । साथै सबै उमेर ढल्केका नेपाली गुरुहरु ढंग न बेढंगका रचना लिएर राष्ट्रियगान बनाउने कसरतमा धेरै भाञ्जा भाञ्जी र संचार र प्रकाशन क्षेत्रमा जागिर खाने नातेदारहरुको खोजीमा विजय गिरीका मीतबा सन्तोष पन्त झैँ काठमाण्डौ धाएर दुख पाउने र दुख दिने गर्नेछन ।

मलाई त तपाइ को मामा को राष्ट्रीय गान पनि त्यति नराम्रो लागेन।
यो रास्ट्रीय गान जस्तै प्ररागाहरु त मैले कान्तिपुर मा नै पढेको छु। मैले त यो कबिता रास्ट्रीय गान म प्रस्ताब गर्न नमिल्ला जस्तो त लागेन। किन हो कुन्नि?
अघिल्ला पाठकहरुले यो कबिता मा केहि थप्न चाहनुभएको रहेछ। मलाइ त लाग्छ यस्तो सबै कुराहरु रास्ट्रीय गान म राख्न त सम्भव हुन्न। राख्ने हो भने त त्यस्तै दस मिनेट को रास्ट्रीय गान बन्ला नि। होइन र?

King’s Africa trip lands NAC Rs 30m short

KATHMANDU, July 19 – Eight months after the king’s famous three-week African safari, the ailing Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is still struggling to get full payment for the chartered flight.
According to NAC sources, of the dues totaling Rs 75.5 million, the corporation is yet to receive 30 million from the government as detention fare for the Boeing 757 used for the royal trip.
However, the corporation received the chartered fee (US$11,000 per flight hour) worth Rs 45 million some months back.
Apart from chartered fares, the then government had agreed to pay detention fee of US$18,000 per day, as the corporation was not able to use the aircraft for commercial flights even when the king was not using it himself.
NAC was forced to cancel around 30 percent of its international flights after the king took one of its two Boeings for 21 days for his Africa visit. In addition, around 20 percent flights were delayed. Commercially profitable flights mainly to Indian destinations and Bangkok were cancelled due to aircraft shortage.
The Boeing 757 9N-ACB was chartered to fly the king to several African countries, including Tunisia, Burundi, Nigeria and Egypt, starting from November 13. According to the official, the aircraft flew a total of 48 hours.
The official said they are continuously engaged in follow-up with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to clear the dues.
When asked, Yadav Khanal, spokesperson at the ministry, said he was unaware of the dues that the ministry needs to pay NAC for the king’s trip. NAC flies to nine destinations in seven countries. In total, it has 23 international scheduled flights a week.

विवादको भाँडो भएको छ यो। नेपालीले फेरी जनआन्दोलन भाग २ मा देखाएको एकता देखाउनु परेको छ राष्ट्रियगानको लागि पनि। कसैले कसैको समर्थन गरेको मैले पाएको छैन।

need more adrenaline pumping and fist tightning song as a national song. It is good, but if I have a say, will go for other options. And, a national anthem now, should be such that it will represent the ambitions and reflect the identity of generations to come. To understand that, it will be nice if we can foresee a century from now and assume where Nepal stands then and the suitability of the proposed song at that time.
गीत राम्रो छ, तर अलि छोटो भयो साथै यो लोकतन्त्र शब्द अलि मिलेन किनकी भोली अर्को तन्त्र आउँला अनी फेरी राष्ट्रिय गीत फेर्ने । जे होस् मामाको प्रयास राम्रो छ ।
Of Course, I agree with Sudarshan, “Rato ra chandra- Surya Jungi Nisan Hamro” is the best as National anthem.
I dont think we need to search anything else but its great to read these all other “Prastabit Rastiya Gans”.

I agree with sudarshanji here. Gopal Prashad Rimal was a great revolutionary poet and his poem : Janghi Nishan Haamro’ cathes our sentiment.
The question is why is the government not taking initiative to call for the National Anthem? Are they still trying to keep the current song of the king? I doubt!

Nice but he didn’t describe about nepali FLAG .Would be nice if he write something about MOON and SUN which are great pride of your flag and NEPALI people.
Everything seems to be going as the Maoists have wanted them to go . So why don’t we ask the ‘Maobadis’ themselves to compose a ‘Raktim’ brand of ‘Rastriya Gaan’? Nepal is now a semi communist state and with the constituent assembly election going to take palce at the Maoist gunpoint will only validate this claim .
Moreover, why should we be in a hurry to compose a national anthem now ? Nepal is soon going to be divided into several small federal states for different ethnic ‘janajatis’ and ‘bhasabhasis’. So each of these small states should be guaranteed to have their own state anthems composed in different colourful languages. So let them compose at leat a few thousand state anthems composed in all the spoken languages of Nepal and for each of the prospective states of the future.
