माओवादीले अपहरण गरेर होस् की लोभ देखाएर सेनामा भर्ति शुरु गरेको समाचार तीन दिन यता नेपाली संचार माध्यमले प्रमुखताका साथ प्रसारण गरिरहेका छन् । ११ वर्षे जनयुद्व सकिएको औपचारिक घोषणा हुने शान्ति सम्झौतामा हस्ताक्षर गर्न ठिक्क परेका माओवादीले यसरी सेनामा भर्ना गर्नु उनीहरुको रणनीति भन्दा पनि वाध्यता बढी देखिएको छ । भोलि फेरी युद्ध होला र त्यस्मा राज्यको सुरक्षाकर्मीसँग लड्न पर्ला भनी माओवादीले यतिबेला जनसेनामा भर्ति गरेका छैनन् र अहिले माओवादी सेनामा वाध्यताले नै भर्ति भएका भनिएका युवायुवति पनि राज्यसँग लड्न भनी त्यहाँ पुगेका छैनन् ।
माओवादीले आजसम्म पनि आफ्नो सैन्यबलको संख्या एकिन गरेको छैन । पटक पटकको अन्तरवार्तामा जनमुक्ती सेनाको सर्वोच्च कमाण्डर प्रचण्ड हुन् की अन्य कमाण्डरहरु माओवादी सैनिक संख्या ३५ हजारको हारहारीमा रहेको बताउँछन । तर माओवादीका एक डिभिजन कमाण्डरले नाम गोप्य राख्ने शर्तमा दिएको जानकारी अनुसार माओवादीमा १५ हजार भन्दा धेरै लडाकु सैनिक रहेका छैनन् । त्यसबाहेकका २० हजार सैनिक आवश्यकता अनुसार आक्रमणका बेला मात्र जनमुत्ती सेनामा आउने र अन्य बेला माओवादीको अरु नै मोर्चामा रहेर काम गर्छन् । माओवादीले २० हजार आफ्ना राजनीतिक कार्यकर्तालाई संविधान सभाको निर्वाचनका बेला क्याम्पमा राख्न नचाहनु प्रष्ट छ । त्यस भित्र पनि १८ वर्ष मुनिका सैनिकको संख्या पनि माओवादीमा प्रशस्त रहेको छ । संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघले अनुगमन गर्ने क्याम्पमा माओवादीले ती बाल सैनिकलाई देखाउन नचाहुनु पनि प्रष्ट छ ।
त्यसो त ७ वटा मुख्य र २१ वटा शाखा गरी २८ वटा माओवादी सैनिक क्याम्पमा राख्नका लागि माओवादीले प्रयाप्त मात्रामा सैनिक खोज्नुपर्छ । माओवादीले प्रत्येक मुख्य सैनिक क्याम्पमा सात सय र प्रत्येक शाखा सैनिक क्याम्पमा एक हजार पाँच सयका दरले सैनिक राख्ने जानकारी राष्ट्रसंघ र सरकारलाई दिइसकेको छ । माओवादीको यस भनाईलाई आधार मान्दा उनीहरुले ३६ हजार चार सय सैनिक क्याम्पमा देखाउनुपर्छ ।
माओवादीले जब्बरजस्ति भर्ति गरेको विरोध बढ्दै जाँदा उनीहरुले संगठन विस्तार गरेको तथा आफ्ना पुराना सैनिकलाई एकिकृत मात्र गरिएको बताएका छन् । तर तथ्य सहितका समाचारलाई उनीहरुको त्यस भनाईले काट्न सक्दैन । माओवादीले केही स्थानमा जब्बरजस्ति गरेको पक्का छ भने कतिपय अवस्थामा लोभमा परेर माओवादी सेनामा भर्ति हुन चाहनेहरु पनि छन् । युवा युवतिमा देखिएको उदासिनता र वेराजगारीले पनि शान्ति तर्फ लम्किरहेको बेला माओवादी सेनामा भर्ति हुन चाहनेको जमात निश्चय पनि छ । भर्ति खुलेको सूचना जारी गरेमा मात्र पनि माओवादीले अपहरण र बलजफ्ती नगरीकन पनि ३५ हजारको हारहारीमा सैनिक पुर् याउन सक्छन् । तर गोप्य रुपमा सैनिक भर्ना गर्न चाहनाले माओवादीले यो वदनामी खेप्नु परिरहेको छ ।

Maoist, why they don’t understand the reality of UMLA because UMLA always did short term politic and right now they are not trusted at present because of their doing, they always adopt “tak pare tiwari approach” and days has come despite getting so many opportunity but days have come to beg for one more seat just to prove themself and create illusion on public that they r still bigger rather than doing any good when there was time. Even Girija prasad who committed all sin in his past but now he is forgiven for all those wrong doing because of just one good so everything is possible and can be changed with your single positive step then why maoist don’t understand this fact rather then doing all wrong to reach that magic number of 36000. If they try to reach this number they will loose all fate but if they accept the fact what ever number they had and have it is more than enough to prove there strength and existance and I feel no significance for any such number in long run. We need peace and anyone who lead us to achieve that peace will be hero rather than making the forceful figure of 36000. We don’t bother any figure that emerges but we will give importance who did what to achieve the peace, we are silent observer but always alert for any action from any side, our decision and strength is ultimate and be aware not try to fool us, we can even forgive Girija so we also can punish all wrong doing by any side as well when time comes because we r public so it is time for all parties to lift themself to gain our confidence and be sure we don’t understand langauge of threat but we cast our vote on our observation what you have done to give us peace.
I’d like to slightly change the topic.Maoists rebels are recruiting children and youth with tall, false and baseless promises. But another grave concern should be about their future. If these semi-literate and politically indoctrinated red-soldiers are to be included in the future Nepali Army, one thing is sure that there will be a very disturbed and conflicting situation.
Even at present, the possible inclusion of the rebels in the army has already frustrated many NA captains and soldiers. “SAALE! Tinka under ma pelinu bhannda ta baru jagir chodnu nai bes.” One captain was saying.Besides that there are so many other technical issues that a semi-literate, untrained in pure NA codes, sign and symbols and disqualifications like to meet the international standards could cause.This so-called PLA which comprises mostly of teen agers and minors could even try to force its own codes and language upon the present NA.
The critical situation is understated and not look upon so seriously, but when the day finally comes, I doubt if Maoists could adhere to its own promises and I don’t think even NA would accept such ‘Maoists’ rebels as their ‘heads’.
These people have double-standards, no doubt. But i don’t see any efforts that was needed to be done, being undertaken by both of the concerned parties, and the government.
Any way why would you work under someone who isn’t as qualified and competent as you? I won’t work under a less competent and ‘inferior boss’, so do all. What do you say ?

This article compelled me to write something, which I, as a Nepali citizen, am going through. Political force or individuals relying on the weapons cannot come up with the logical ideas. If we look at the top brass of Maoists, they have some brains (I’m not trying to refer other cadres as uneducated but Maoist leaders didn’t allow them to study well because they needed big number to fight Nepal Army and Police) and rest follow what their leaders say in different camps. What the tops level says, it may never reach to the cadres.
Once Maoists cadres measured my father’s throat and almost chopped him off because my brothers are in Nepal Army and Police. What was my father’s fault that my brothers were serving in Army and Police? That’s the judgement of Maoists. There were brutalities committed by Maoists. We the Nepalese protested with vigor when 12 Nepalese were killed in Iraq but such incidents occured in Nepal for several times. Teachers, journalists and other people from different walk ot life had be sacrificed by the Maoists. I believe that there were errors committed by Nepal government side as well.
Nepal government is making a grave historical mistakes by listening to Maoists demands. I believe they have some genuine demands but not all. To show the achievement after April movement, our leaders (are they really our leaders?) are making big mistakes by showing too liberal attitude towards Moists. I believe in conflict resolution through logical arguments but not easy compromises. Better to suffer little more than to suffer in the long run.
May god give wisdom to Maoist Leaders and make them do what is required for the country than for their party.

Hey guys!
It’s pretty fascinating to see how this “culture of discussion” in blogs is emerging in the political landscape of Nepal. And the contributions of such kinds of blogs like “mero sansar” in this regard are praiseworthy.
But as a “engaged observer” of this particular blog “mero sansar”, as it is called in philosophical terms, I see a necessity to transform the above mentioned “culture of discussion” to “culture of HARMONIC discussion”. I think it’s very crucial to maintain or even uplift the discussion standard in such ambitious blogs. Harsh words like “saale” or other even more disgusting words appear time and again which can’t be part of any civilized and pragmatic web communities which have the ultimate goal of political awareness.
My message to you guys is that there are always two sides of a coin and as a educated, civilized and responsible citizen, it’s crucial to have your own opinion and at the same time the ability to hear others and switch between different angles of thinkings. I don’t know whether there is something like “ultimate truth”. I’m in search of it since long but I’ve not found it so far. If some one has managed to be enlightened and argues that he/she knows the ultimate truth then I’d love to read about it in “mero sansar”.

Maobadi will not be changed very soon, as for everybody to change a Habit is very difficult. They used to be Looters, Tourchers, in the name of Communist idealogy. Their forceful activities will be taking place afterward also. We people should come out to protest them like the People of Patan did some days before. Once the Peace Treaty will be signed and UN start monitoring the both Army, then Government should come with very strong mandate to stablish Law & Order. Because Maoist said that they want to use their Army in Election which is a Voilation of the Peace Treaty. Nepali Army don’t have Right to caste their vote in Election. If Nepali Army don’t caste the vote then Maoist also should remain in Cantonment until the Election is finished, they should not be permitted to participate in Election including the Casting of Vote. If things don’t go smoothly (might be possible due to Maoist activities) the The Constitution Assembly Election will not take palce in time and Soverign People of Nepal can’t use their Ballot with their own choice.

Mr. Infidel, I heard the interview of Prachanda in BBC he’s inflating the number of “maoist gurrillas” day by day. In that interview he told the number should be 25000-30000. Now he’s saying it’s 36000.
