‘आतंककारी’सितको हस्तमिलनः अमेरिकी सरकारले अझै पनि आतंककारीको सूचिबाट नहटाएका माअोवादी अध्यक्ष प्रचण्डसित हात मिलाउँदै अमेरिकी पूर्व राष्ट्रपति जिम्मी कार्टर। सबै फोटोः दि कार्टर सेन्टर नेपाल (कार्टर दरबारको संवाद सचिवालय क्या! )
नेपालमा अहिले हंगामा छ नि। अमेरिकी पूर्व राष्ट्रपति जिम्मी कार्टरको भ्रमणका कारण यसो भएको हो। आज त बिहानैदेखि कार्टरको राजाले दर्शनभेट दिने शैलिमा दर्शनभेट चलिरहेको थियो। नेपालका ठूल्ठूला नेताहरु त कार्टरको अगाडि लुरुक्कै। सोल्टी दरबारमा भएको थियो कार्टरको दर्शनभेटको सिलसिला। नागरिक समाजका देखि दलित नेताहरु, माअोवादी अध्यक्षदेखि लिएर राजाका विश्वासपात्रहरुसित सम्म पनि कार्टरले दर्शनभेट गरिरहेका थिए। सिक्रेट सर्भिसका यामानका बडी भएका कालो चश्मा लगाउने बडीगार्डहरुको सुरक्षा घेरामा रहने अमेरिकी पूर्व राष्ट्रपति भोलि मध्यान्ह फर्कँदैछन्।
पशुपतिशमशेरदेखि लिएर प्रचण्डसम्म उनलाई भेटेर निस्केपछि रमाएर पत्रकारहरुसँग बोलेको दृश्य साँच्चिकै हेर्न लायक थियो। ‘अमेरिकाको पूर्व राष्ट्रपतिजस्तो सँग यति सौहाद्रपूर्ण रुपमा कुरा भयो भनी प्रचण्ड मख्ख पर्दै पत्रकारहरुलाई कुरा सुनाइरहेका देखिन्थे। हुन पनि सबैभन्दा बढी समय कार्टरले प्रचण्ड र बाबुरामलाई नै दिएका थिए- झण्डै एक घण्टा। तर सबैभन्दा फूँइ भने भेषबहादुर थापाको देखियो। बाहिर निस्केपछि के कुरा भयो भनेर पत्रकारहरुले सोद्धा उनले भने- म त सबै कुरा छाडेर बसेको मान्छे, के कुरा गर्नु। मैले त छोरीले लेखेको किताब दिएँ….सबै गलल हाँसे उनको कुरा सुनेर।
सबै पार्टीका सित एक्लाएक्लैको दर्शनभेट पछि अब भोलि आठै पार्टी (सरी आठ हैन, १२ वटा पार्टी छन् क्यारे) लाई सामूहिक दर्शन भेट दिँदैछन् उनी। त्यसपछि प्रधानमन्त्रीलाई भेटेर, पत्रकार सम्मेलन गरेर उनी फर्कनेछन्।
हात एउटासित मिलाएर अनुहार चाहिँ अर्कैको हेर्ने ?
लौ न मने हाम्लाई लगाइआएको टेररिस्ट ट्याग मने हटाउन सहयोग गर्दिनु परोः प्रचण्डले कार्टरलाई यस्तो अनुरोध गर्दा कार्टरले वर्तमान राष्ट्रपतिसित यहाँको रिपोर्ट दिने आश्वासन दिए रे।
यसलाई भनिन्छ हार्दिक स्वागतः माकुने ज्युको अनुहार हेर्नुस् न, दिलैदेखि खुस देखिनुहुन्छ।
देउवा ज्यु नहुनुभाकोले उहाँको पार्टीका दुई नेता प्रकाशमान सिंह र गोपालमान श्रेष्ठलाई दर्शनभेट दिँदै कार्टर।
अनि दुई वटा पार्टी कहिले मिल्ने त ? कार्टरको प्रश्न। अचम्म छ है नेपालमा, हामीलाई मिलाउन पनि विदेशी चाहिने। काँग्रेस एकताको कुरा त वाम एकताभन्दा पनि हावा हुने भइसक्यो। बरु सदभावनाहरु मिलिसके।

उ हेर्नुस्, शान्ति आउँदैछिन्, शान्ति तथा पुनर्निर्माण मन्त्री रामचन्द्र पौडेललाई दर्शनभेट दिँदै कार्टर।
Jimmy Carter is a one of the greatest leaders of the world. After being the president of the United States, he established the Carter Foundation in order to help resolve the conflicts in the world. This organization has been working several years in African countries to build the houses for homeless people. They have been working for healthcare projects in many countrin of Latin America and Africa. As well as he did lots of work out with middle east leaders to end the middle east crisis. “Sharing Good Times” is one of the gorgeous books written by him. In this book he has explained many many wonderful experiences of his life. Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mr Carter is very open minded person. He has described about America’s negative sides on his another book “Our Endangered Values, America’s Moral Crisis.” Please read his books. Very memorable and knowledgeable. I’m impressed with him.

Hi Lila ,You may be right .but what I learnt from my experiance is they use the word dr. Mr. etc before their name.Few of them do not use them(that is true in asia also).Students call professor name by putting Dr.

Americans and also other westerners don’t like to add titles infront of their names. No dr. prof. ….. Only Asians like to have these to show they are superiour to others!
The main point having title infront of your name is to make your name haeavier. But if you are already well-known there is no need to add dr., prof. etc.
Therefore, Umeshjee should know that Carter does not need “Shree” or “Shree kati ho kati” You can just write Mr. thats enough!

I hope Carter is working with honesty. We don’t want to hear again, this some sort of american trick, when everything Moriatry tried his dirty tricks to keep gyanendra in power. Moriartry’s way was threat and some bait so called bit of money or military training. I think this time they thought carefully to send some one had better record as human. But if he is carrying same dirty us policy inside still to accomondate gyane in the system, then it will be other trick. Whether he is urging everybody to work together ( that is good news) but if the new government has to share power with gyanendra and old panchayat regime Nepal will never get out of the vicious circle of corrupt government. Time will tell. This can be series of those diplomatic garbage package to balance the interest of each country. Indian has been non-disputed king maker, american wants to play that role as well. Recent some interest of China. It is something like Vulture hovering over a caracss.
When politician and the government are stupid and they keep fighting for rotten bone, the foreign power exactly know what these thugs are up to and they tell you waht to do. Well this is the fate of any nation ruled by stupid, criminals and rebels. I really do not know when Nepal will get out of this sort of mess.
I did not understand why our ‘Revolutionist’ comrades are so happy after shaking hands with ‘Bloody Imperialist Americans’. Any junior revolunist comrade can justify why senior revolutionist comrade did appeal to erase their holy party from the terrorist list? Do our senior comrades believe upon that American terrorist list?

Mr. Carter- former President of the United States is great humanitarian. Along with Carter Center, he helps in Habitat for Humanity. I believe, his visit will have very positive impact on peace and democracy building in Nepal. Hopefylly, we Nepali along with Nepali Congress, UML, Maoist and the Monarchy will understand the message for democracy and human rights. Wish for peaceful, impartial and successful Constituent Assemblay election in Nepal. We need very positive support of big two neighbors. But not in double-standard way like most of time.
