अब तपाईँको पालोः राष्ट्रपति भवन कहाँ ?

संविधान सभाले नारायणहिटी दरबारलाई राष्ट्रिय संग्रहालय बनाउन निर्देशन दिएपछि संविधानअनुसार व्यवस्था भएको देशको सर्वोच्च पद राष्ट्रपतिका लागि भवनको खाँचो परेको छ। राष्ट्रपति भवनका लागि अहिले खोज सुरु भइसकेको छ। सहरी विकास तथा भवन निर्माण विभागले पाँच वटा विकल्प सरकारसमक्ष पेश गरेको छ राष्ट्रपति भवनका लाग। ती हुन्-

१) प्रधानसेनापति निवास, शशिभवन, झम्सिखेल
२)बहादुर भवन
३) शितल निवास
४) केशर महल
५) हरिहर भवन

त्यसो त भविष्यमा नयाँ भवन बनाइने नै छ। तर तपाईँको विचारमा तत्कालका लागि कुन भवनलाई राष्ट्रपति भवन बनाउँदा ठीक होला ? अब तपाईँको पालो, आफ्नो विचार राख्‍नुस्।

  2. I want to be bold to say that, if we converge everything in the Kathmandu Valley, it is not going to help. If we really want to develop NEPAL we have to think outside Kathmandu Valley (kinda like..thinking outside the box).

    Hence, I propose any other place but Kathmandu Valley.

    I believe that if Rastrapati Bhawan is outside the valley then that place has more chance of developing rapidly as well. May be we should locate it some where in the Terai belt so that our brothers in Terai feel welcomed. And please do remember where the Rastrapati Bhawan may be that place is going to grow in Tourism as well, since people will be flocking in to see this place.

    I would like to propose the same for the Parliament House as well, let make the Parliament House in some other place other than the Kathmandu. Moreover, lets make
    Rastrapati Bhawan and Parliament House in two different Zone.

    I would like call upon all the people of Nepal and think on this seriously. Let not make Kathmandu headquarter of everything. Lets DIVERSIFY AND DEVELOP OTHER REGIONS OF NEPAL AS WELL.

  3. Keshar Mahal is the best choice. Centrally located, excellent for security and administration. It is next door to Narayanhiti. This will prove to be a part of tourist attractions as well. All those tourists or visitors who are visiting the Narayanhiti Museum will find their visit accomplished when they can know or see and compare with the President’s official home next to Narayanhiti. This strategic location of presidential residence will add revenue generation to Narayanhiti. It is not just about adding revenue– it is about having a whole concept of people thinking about where was the past and where is the present in a short distance of walking. This makes a huge difference in the appropriateness in the peoples’ mind.

    No! No to Shital Niwas across the home of Paras. The President residence should not be place near the place, which Nepalese people don’t talk about or remember.

You know prithivi narayan shah change his capital city from Gorkha to Ktm and why dont new government do that.   33. I think , Presidential House shoul make a new ( South Korea also made a new ). For Temporary, Nagarjun Palace has to convert as Presidential House for temporary. and it has to convert National Natural Museum later. All Rana’s properties also concern by people in Nepal.

  49. I see nothing wrong in using part of the Narayanhiti for the future president. Given the poor financial situation of the country, I can’t imagine why one would have to turn the whole thing into a museum. Has any one looked at the condition in which the museum near Swambhu is in? Rather pathetic. If this is any indication, Narayanhiti will turn into a much worse condition.

    Naraynahiti is a public property. I would say use the part of the building for what is has been used in the past: to welcome visitors and receive their credentials. Because there are so many huildings in and around, why not the president one of them? After all, even the ex-king had one bunglow to live in.

    There is a saying, cut your coat according to the cloth one has. Example is better than precept. Let the future president show others, and avoid acting as if now it is his turn to turn into being a new king in a new cloth.

Don’t belive our Redtapeism (Karmacharitantra). They are exelent educated but they don’t so civilized . They think always for their boss or master, but not for our country. Is it necessary like Narayanhiti place for tempreary period ?

  52. AT PRESENT CONTEXT NEPAL CAN’T AFFORD TO ACCOMODATE PRESIDENT IN THE BUILDING LIKE KESAR MAHAL, SITAL NIVAS ETC. BESIDES, THOSE BUILDING ARE TOO HUGE FOR A FAMILY RESIDENCE. WHY NOT JUST FIND A NICE BUNGALOW HAVINg APPROX 10 ROOMS.

  67. Well all of these proposed Palaces were built during Rana Regime. The first president of Nepal cannot morally stay in these palaces whose construction required sacrifice of blood and sweat of innocent Nepalese. Why not just hire a new residence. These palaces are too large for one person.

  71. In my opinion, Narayanhiti should be made Presidential Palace to avoid unnecessary burden to already deprived countrymen. We should optimize the resources we have. Narayanhiti palace should also be made available for public visits. I do not think changing the building to a museum is good idea.

  86. I am surprised by the Kongressi Minister’s Love of the Former King. The Kong.Min. unilaterally has decided to provide one of the Nationalised Palaces for Gyanendra to reside. He is the richest man in Nepal and now the Kong. Minister wants to lick Gyanendra’s foot-sole.
