हाम्रा यी डाक्साबहरुले एक साताभित्र आफूले भनेको जस्तो विधेयक बनाएर संसदमा प्रस्तुत नगरे आजदेखि तीन दिन शुक्र,शनि र आइतबार पनि देशभर उपचार ठप्प पार्ने आन्दोलन जारी राख्ने बताएका छन्। बिहीबार पनि देशभर उपचार सेवा ठप्प पारिएको थियो भने काठमाडौँमा त झन् बुधबारदेखि नै आकस्मिक बाहेक कसैको उपचार हुन सकेको छैन।

राजधानीको एउटा निजी अस्पताल एभरेस्ट नर्सिङ होममा एक बिरामीको उपचार गर्दागर्दै मृत्यु भएपछि आफन्तहरुले बबाल गरे भन्दै त्यसको विरोधमा डक्टर सा’बहरु हिजोदेखि आन्दोलनमा उत्रिएका छन्। उहाँहरुले हिजो राजधानीका कुनै पनि निजी, सरकारी अस्पताल र क्लिनिकहरुमा आकस्मिक बाहेकका अन्य सेवा ठप्प पारे। आज त त्यतिले नपुगेर देशैभरका चिकित्सा सेवा ठप्प पारिएको छ। बिचरा बिरामीहरु पूर्व जानकारीको अभावमा वाल्ल परेका छन्।
जेकुरामा पनि जोरजबर्जस्ती गरेपछि मात्रै माग पूरा हुन्छ भन्ने चिन्तन बढ्दै गएको सन्दर्भमा बिरामीका आफन्तहरुले बबाल गरेका हुन्। त्यो एउटा पक्ष हो। तर डक्टर सा’बहरुले पनि उपचारमा लापरवाही गर्ने गरेको र कानुनको अभावमा त्यसलाई नियन्त्रण गर्न नसकेको गुनासो पनि बेलाबेलामा सुनिएकै हो। तपाईँलाई डक्टर सा’बहरुले यसरी देशैभर चिकित्सा सेवा ठप्प पारी बिरामीको उपचार गर्ने आफ्नो पवित्र सेवा भावनालाई स्थगित गरेको कस्तो लाग्यो ? अब तपाईँको पालो- कृपया आफ्नो विचार, उपचारसम्बन्धी आफ्नो अनुभव बाँड्नुस्।
यसैबीच, स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसङ्ख्या मन्त्रालयले एउटा घटना विशेषको बहानामा सरकारलाई गृहकार्यका लागि कुनै समय नै नदिई नेपाल चिकित्सक सङ्घले उपत्यकाका अस्पतालका आकस्मिकबाहेकका सबै सेवा बन्द गर्न गरेको आह्वानप्रति आफू दुःखित भएको जनाएको छ।
मन्त्रालयले सङ्घलाई हड्तालका सम्पूर्ण कार्यक्रम अविलम्ब स्थगन गरी वार्तामा आउन आमन्त्रण गर्दै देशको वर्तमान जटिल अवस्थामा यस्तो हडतालले पार्न सक्ने दीर्घकालीन नकारात्मक परिणामप्रति सबै सम्बद्ध पक्षलाई गम्भीररुपमा जिम्मेवार हुनसमेत आग्रह गरेको छ।
उता, एभरेस्ट नर्सिङ होम व्यवस्थापनले नर्सिङ होम तोडफोड गर्ने, जलाउने र क्षतिपूर्तिका नाममा पैसा माग्ने, उपचारमा संलग्न चिकित्सक र नर्सिङ होममा कार्यरत कर्मचारीलाई दुव्यवहार गर्ने तथा मानसिक यातना दिनेलगायतका कार्य नगर्न आग्रह गरेको छ।
नारायण शाहको उपचारमा नर्सिङ होम व्यवस्थापनाको कुनै त्रुटि नभएको दावी गर्दै चित्त नबुझे कानुनी उपचार खोज्नसमेत व्यवस्थापनले आग्रह गरेको छ।
उपचारमा संलग्न चिकत्सक, सहयोगी र नर्सिङ होमको सुरक्षा व्यवस्था कडा पार्न र यस्ता कार्य आइन्दा दोहोरिन नदिई यथाशक्य चाँडो सुरक्षा व्यवस्था सुधार्न व्यवस्थापनले सरकारसँग माग गरेको छ।
नेपाल चिकित्सक सङ्घले उपचारमा संलग्न वरिष्ठ शल्यचिकित्सक डा.सुबोधकुमार अधिकारीलाई मार्नेसम्मको धम्की दिएकामा विरोधस्वरुप असार २६ गते देशभरि आकस्मिक सेवाबाहेक निजी, सरकारी, एवम् शिक्षण अस्पताल तथा निजी क्लिनिकलगायत सम्पूर्ण चिकित्सा सेवा बन्द गर्ने निर्णय गरेको हो।
यसअघि नर्सिङ होमले पीडित पक्षलाई पाँच लाख क्षतिपूर्ति दिन राजी भइसकेको अवस्थामा चिकित्सक संघले नै हस्तक्षेप गरी त्यसरी क्षतिपूर्ति दिए संघबाट दर्ता खारेज गरिदिने चेतावनी दिएको खबर पत्रपत्रिकामा आएका थिए।

Doctors of nepal are like prostitutes because they give good service to those who have enough money to satisfy them.These doctors are not good at all for majority of nepali patients.They prefer living in the city area because of money.They must be scattered in every corner of the nation otherwise they again start sucking the blood of patients to make their own life better. may the govt.pay more attention for the overall development of the nation! live and let live

2. He must have sent the patient after the patient developed some complication which couldnot be dealt in small nursing home. Complications are always there in any operation.. so in view of your comments Doctors should not perform any surgeries in Nepal..
People die in hospitals in Siliguri and other parts of India,, but you peole never have COURAGE to ask why.. but ass holes, why you are after Nepalese docs? You want to be treted by Dhotis Don’t you?

लौ सुन्नुस् केही सत्य तथ्यहरु।
कुरो एक बर्ष जती अघीको हो। मेरो बाबा तल्लो बाँया छाती को बिमार भए पछी, काठमाडौं मोडेल हस्पिटल भर्ना हुनु भएको थियो। एक साता सम्म अनेक स्क्यान गरियो, अनेक औषधीले बाबा झन थाला पर्नु भो। त्याहा, सक्षम डाक्टर नै थिएनन उपचारको लागि। कहिले किड्नी खराब भनिन्थ्यो, कहिले फोक्सो त कहिले ब्याक बोन। ३०-३५ हजार खर्च हुँदा सम्म पनि केही पत्तो नलागेपछी हामी उपेन्द्र देवकोटा कहाँ गयौ र त्यहा बल्ल छातीको अप्रेशन भयो।
अर्को कुरा गरौ, गत महिना, फेरी त्यही काठमाडौं मोडल हस्पिटल ले मेरो अंकल लाई छाती सम्भन्धी बिमारमा सिटी स्क्यान को सिफारिस गरेछ, धरै महँगो भएपछी छाउनी आर्मी हस्पिटल बाट स्क्यान गरिएछ। आर्मी हस्पिटल का डक्टर साब’ ले यो बुढोलाई क्यान्सर भाछ, अब उपचार गर्न आबस्यक छैन, भनेर लाएछन। घरमा रुवाबासी। उता मोडल हस्पिटलमा रिपोर्ट लिएर गएको त, त्यो सिफारिस गर्ने डा’ साबले, म त यो सम्मन्धी बिशेषग्य होइन भनेछन। ल हेर्नुस् त कत्रो बदमाशी। पहिले स्क्यान गर्न भन्ने, अनी??? उस्लाई त त्यही हस्पिटल मा स्क्यान गराउन लगाएर पैसा लुटुनु रहेछ। फेरी अर्को डा’ साब सँग रिपोर्ट देखाउदा उन्ले पनि ठोकेर क्यान्सर नै भनेछन, अनी उमेर ढल्की सकेकोले छातीको सल्यकृया न गर्न सुझाब पनि दिएछन। मनले नमानेर अंकल फेरी अर्को डक्टर कहाँ जानु भएछ। भएको रहेछ निमोनिया। अहिले उहालाई निको पनि भई सकेको छ। होइन एउटा उपचारको लागि कती डक्टर कहाँ धाउनु पर्छ? खाली पैसाको खेल छ। कसरी हुन्छ बिरामीलाई बढी पैसा तिराउने। गलत औषधी दिने त कती कती कुरै नगरौ।
अनी मान्छे किन मर्दैन अकालमा?
यस्ता उदाहरणहरु धरै छन। नेपालमा यि डक्टर अनी नर्शिङ होम भनौदाहरुको एक से एक बदमाशीहरु छन। एउटा कडा नियमको खचो छ। सबै डक्टर उस्तै म भन्दिन। तर सुधारको खाचो छ। एसमा दुइमत छैन। ए ड’साब हो, अरुको आङ्को जुम्रा देखने, आफ्नो आंङ्को भैंसी नदेख्ने? बरु सुधारौ यो परम्परा, सबैलाई कल्यण हुन्छ। छोडौ यो बकुम्फुसे हड्ताल।
this is just ridiculous. such dignified professionals in such undignified act. how could they turn blind towards their own patients? ok.. the people who attacked the nursing home were not right in doing so. but taking that as a reason to close down all the medical institutions is disgusting. doctors should be more responsible towards what they do. they are the ones who are regarded as the life-savers and are most respected. can’t they even think that by demanding their rights to security, they are denying the rights of all the citizens to health? there are other ways to solve the matter. can’t they see how patients are suffering due to their ‘strike’? yes, politicians, transport services, and others can stay without doing their works calling bandas and all, but doctors? NO. ‘coz we need them every second. a delay of 5 seconds can kill or save a life. how could the doctors themselves not know what we simple humans do? we take them as our only hope when it comes to life-threatening health problems. but, what do we do now, when we can’t even see them when we most deserve to get a check-up? yo ‘strike’ ko safaltaa ko laagi doctor jiu harulaai dherai dherai badhaai.. but you disgraced your profession and yourselves.

डाक्टरसाबहरुप्रति मेरो सहानुभुति छ, तर नेपालमा क्वाकहरुले पनि प्राक्टिश गरेको उदाहरण धेरै छन्। अब डाक्टरहरु पनि आफ्नो अधिकारको लागि उपचार ठप्प पार्नु चैं अलि सुहाएन कि? अब नेपालमा राष्ट्रिय मानव अधिकार आयोग सँगसँगै राष्ट्रिय मानव कर्तव्य आयोग पनि स्थापना गर्ने बेला आयो। कर्तव्य उल्लंघन गर्नेलाई ज्यान मुद्दासरहको कानुन लाग्ने व्यवस्था हुनुपर्ने। अधिकारसँगसँगै कर्तव्य पनि आउने गर्छ, कर्तव्यलाई चैं कहिल्यै नसम्झिने, खालि अधिकारको मात्र कुरा गर्ने?
First of all my deep condolence to family who lost their love one. As a physician I personally feel how much pain some one feel if any patient who is in his mid 40 age die right after the operation because of post operative complication. I dont know the specific details what happen at everest nursing home. Doctors are also a just another human being.Some time even very experience doctors can do mistake. And I have seen that in my life. some time during the course of treatment we have to face very unexpected complication because human body is very compex in that sense there are thousand thing can go wrong specially right after the operartion.
One thing I am seeing which is really bothering me is the trend of behavior we nepalese are showing specially in response to any crisis. Rather then using restrain and trying to make sense, we try to settle things thru anger, force and intimidation. There is no doubt in this case, the proper investgation should be done and if there is any violation of law and found negligence from the part of physician or any other health care personnel including hospital management, then they should be punish with a highest degree as per the law because there is no room for negligence when it comes to health of other human being.
I think the most important aspect of this case is because of lack of peoper law, implementation of existing law,
The decision by nepal medical association to close down all the health institution is illegal,unethical and inhumane.They should stop this kind of YCL like behavior right now.

Doctors MUST not go in strike, regardless of any factors they have to face.
Their work is to provide selfless service to humanity and to help get rid from illnesses and sufferings.
Before studying and being medical professionals one should think that will he or she be able to provide such humane works without any monetary benefits. But in contrast here in Nepal we have a race of becoming doctors for the sake of prestige, sake of earning more and more, or to make it commercialize.
Commercialization of medical profession is rampant in Nepal, and it’s a blooming business not only in Kathmandu, all over the nation. Even named and renowned doctors are doing their business so smoothly without difficulty.
This is the reason why this profession is taken as a lowest trusthworthy among others.
As there is no law to check those doctors, I must say that our governemnt has no policy, neither for protection of civilians for health care or for medical professionals who are truly working in right norms.
Despite of that we people should be aware and vigilant about our health care delivery system. Ministry of Health is a total failure in this part.
There should be
A) No privatization of health care deliveries like nursing homes, private clinics
B) Strict Law for doctors
– Registration to be done only to qualified doctors
– Pre registration examination for all graduates
– Annual registration only after appraisal
– Anuual income registration
– Fiver yearly examination for update of knowledge
– Qualified registration examination for all specialty
C) Consumer Protection Act and Compensation Policy
– CPA to make laws
– Negligence compensation
D)Prescription of drugs
– Prescription of drugs by only registered doctors (valid)
– No drugs delivery by un register /unauthorized persons like pharmacists or doctor (unregistered)
E) Special policy for Sub specialized surgeons like Cardiothoracic, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Orthopaedic surgery
– Sub specialized registration with examination
– Valid degrees or qualification
These are some of the suggestions so that health sector of Nepal can be improved.
We hope that Government will look into it.
यो त अत्याचारै भो । हरेक क्षेत्रमा असल र खराब चरित्रका व्यक्तिहरू हुन्छन्, त्यस्तालाई छानेर कारवाही गर्नुपर्छ । तर आफ्नो पेशको भन्दैमा त्यस्ता खराब व्यक्तिहरूका पक्ष लिएर बन्द, हड्ताल गर्नु पटक्कै जायज हैन । यस्ता कार्यले हाम्रा डाक्टरसाबहरू कति छुद्र स्वभावका रहेछन् भन्ने कुरा प्रमाणित भएको छ । बारम्बार यस्ता घटनाहरू हाम्रो समाजमा घटेका छन् । तर आजसम्म तिनीहरूको नियमन टुंगो लागेको पाइँदैन । प्राय:जसो यस्ता ‘काण्डहरू’ पैसाले छोपिन्छन् । यस अर्थमा हामी उपभोक्ताहरूकै कमजोरीको उपज हो यो ।
यो डाक्टर भन्ने जन्तु हरु यस्तै हुन निमुखा र गरीब जनता को रगत पसिना चुसेर मोटाउने यिनिहरुलाई बानी नै परेको हुन्छ । के यिनिहरु कुनै तेस्रो ब्रह्मन्ड बाट आयका हुन कि क्या हो ? आफु बाट त कुनै गल्ती नै हुँदैन भन्ने । दुई चार जनाको हात खुट्टा नभाची तह नलाग्ने भयो नि अब । अर्को कुरा मेडिकल काउन्सिल पनि हिजो आज किन बहुलाउन थालेको हो ? बिरामी माथि खेलवाड गर्ने लाई त नाङेझार् गर्नु पर्छ ।

What else Doctors can do? when the only thing the Government understand is Chakka jam and strike. The threat to anybody’s life has to be taken seriously by the government and act upon. Many things can go wrong in treatment and diagnosis, even with proper diagnosis and treatment, there can be many complications. Doctors are not God and they do not have magic rod.
After reading the comments I also decided to write something. Most of the people are talking of yesto doctor usto doctor, bad doctor…and all all all…
But why not you all try to find the reason for that? Why don’t you look at the pt party’s behaviour towards hospital and doctors?
Why do they start violence? why don’t they seek legal way to punish if doctor is really culprit?
Why ther are history of vandalism and fire in the hospital ?
Who starts all these?
And, in other way, Don’t you think doctor is also human?
He also needs protection from these incidents?
If government or otherbody doesn’t keep step ahead to protect them then, their last thing is to shut down the hospital.
See, Even now why not govt. take s step to fulfill the everybody’s demand?
So do not blame doctors alone, they all know their hippocratic oath and responsibilities…but we all partys need system to raise our voice.

so why care about this closure of hospitals friends, make it a habit to go to dhami’s, and ignore the docs… I see people saying Nepali Docs are no good, true guys, do not go to a doc again.

नैतीक ता भन्ने पनि केही हुन्छ नि। चिकित्सक भएर दिक्षित भएपछी खाइने Hippocratic oath को कुनै अर्थ रहेन। बाजी ठोकेर भन्छु, यि सबैले तलको सपथ नलीइ डाक्टर भएका होइनन, के यो सपथ बिर्सें सबै डाक्टरले?
HIPPOCRATIC OATH
I swear by Apollo Physician, by Aesclepius, by Health, by Heal-all and by all the gods and goddesses, making them witnesses that I will carry out, according to my ability and judgement, this oath and this indenture.
To regard my teacher in this art as equal to parents; to make him partner in my livelihood, and when he is in need of money to share mine with him; to consider his offspring equal to my brothers; to teach them this art, if they require to learn it, without fee or indenture; and to impart precept, oral instruction, and all the other learning, to my sons, to the sons of my teacher, and to pupils who have signed the indenture and sworn obedience to the physician’ law, but to none other.
I will use treatment to help the sick according to my ability and judgement, but I will never use it to injure or wrong them, I will not give poison to anyone though asked to do so, nor will I suggest such a plan. Similarly I will not give a pessary to a woman to cause illegal abortion. But in purity and in holiness, I will guard my life and my art. I will not use the knife on sufferers from stone, but I will give place to such, as are craftsmen therein.
Into whatsoever houses I enter, I will do so to help the sick, keeping myself free from all intentional wrong-doing and harm, especially from fornication with woman or man, bonded or free.
Whatsoever in the course of practice I see or hear (or even outside my practice in social intercourse) that ought never to be published abroad, I will not divulge, but will consider such things to be holy secrets.
Now if I keep this oath and break it not, may I enjoy honour, in my life and art, among all men for all time; but if I transgress and forswear myself, may the opposite befall me.

With due respect to some good doctors, thank god, there are still a few, doctors’ strike is not justified. People have treated doctors as gods and in time these doctors have started believing themselves to be god. But there are many shatans in the name of god. I don’t know why I am referring to god when I don’t believe in one, but I guess I am referring to good and evils. Even if there is a hell and a heaven, I know many of the doctors will go to hell.
Many doctors start their practice initially with good intentions but over the years they become overly money minded and completely forget the hippocratic oath they have taken.
How much heartless can one be? Our doctors in Nepal know that they are in the most priviledged position to help others, but they choose to help themselves only. Private clinics and nursing homes are examples of how selfish the doctors have become. I am not saying that they don’t provide services, but they mostly cater to rich. Poors are left to die.
I have absolutely no sympathy over the doctor’ strike. Many people have died or disabled due to malpractices of doctors. I don’t approve of the beating of the doctors for it, or using hooligns to threaten them, but it is a sign of public consciousness that these doctors cannot go on doing whateever they want. More public awareness and legal recourses should be made available so that people can avoid uncivilized protests.

I don’t understand why some people think killing is justice not vengence. Doctors are human being like us and if they failed due to negligence, they should be punished according to the law not by destroying the facilities and hurting and threatning the doctor.
On the other hand, doctors seems to be forgetting “Hippocratic Oath” by walking out from their duty, asking hospital patient to come to their private practice and prescribing specific durgs due to their economical interest.

Majority of doctors (medical) in Nepal can be compared with butchers who only need money from poor humans. It is very rare to find social oriented people in this profession and this case is not exception. In addition, majority of medical doctors do not pay just tax as per rules of the nation. The main ambition is earning money, spreading and expanding their business.

Researches show that medical doctors are adjacent to lawyers with one of the lowest ranking in society for their dedication and honesty.
In the present context(irrespective of whether Doctors are right or wrong), they will go for strike taking example from other groups. They are equally entitled to go for strike. I would say, they should go for tire burning. This is the result of anarchy and lawlessness, doctors should not be an exception. They should not be only responsibly behaving professionals.
At least, they are not asking for their share in CA and part of the country. Go doctors go. Go for tire burning. Please bring medical students in this strike and inflame it more!

समान्य शल्यकि्रया गरे ठीक हुने विरामीलाई लापरबाही तरिकाले शल्यकि्रया गरेको आधारमा उसको ज्यान जादा हामीलाई त दुःख लागेको छ भने परिवारलाई दुःख त लागिहाल्छ, बचाउन भनेर लगेको आफन्त डाक्टरको लापरवाहीले मर्छ भने आक्रोशित हुनु पनि स्वाभाविक हो । आफन्त गुमाउदाको पीडा अरु कुनै पीडा संग तुलना गर्न पनि सकिदैन । परिवारले अस्पतालमा तोडफोड गर्नु र आक्रोशको बेलामा डाक्टरलाई धम्की दिए पनि होलान् । हामी मध्य धेरैलाई थाहा छ अस्पतालमा डाक्टर, नस्रहरुको व्यवहार कति रुखो हुन्छ अनि सरकारी अस्पतालको काम गर्ने शैली कस्तो छ भनेर । एउटा सानो उदाहरण पनि प्रस्तुत गर्न मन लाग्यो । मैले केहि वर्ष अगाडी मेरो आफन्त टाउको दुख्ने मुर्छा पर्ने समस्या परेकोले राती १२ बजे त्रि।वि. शिक्षण अस्पतालको आपतकालीन सेवा मा लिएर गए, त्यहाँ डाक्टर नस्रहरु र अन्य सबै जाडँ खाएर सवारी चलाई घाइते भएको मान्छेको आफन्त संग झगडा गरिरहेका थिए, झगडाको विषय पनि छिटो छरितो सेवा नपाएको विषयमा केन्द्रित थियो । मैले मेरो विरामीलाई बेडमा सुताए र डाक्टरलाई गुहारे तर कसैले वास्ता गरेन, मेरो विरामीको अवस्था निकै गम्भीर हुदै गयो, उनी बरबराउन चिच्याउन थालिन् ,त्यस पछि मात्र डाक्टरको ध्यानआकृष्ट भयो । डाक्टरले हतार हतारमा औषधी लेखिदिए । मैले औषधी लिएर आए, इन्जेक्सन दिए पछि केहि बेरमा विरामी कराउन छोडिन् । उनले जिब्रो कोटेकोले जिब्रोमा नराम्रो असर परेको थियो । डाक्टरले जिब्रोमा लगाउने मलम पनि दिए । पछि अस्पतालमा भर्ना गरेर निकै दिन राखे पछि मेरो विरामीलाई सन्चो भयो । अनि पछि भर्ना भइ सके सिनियर डाक्टरले मेरो विरामीलाई जिब्रोमा लगाउने औषधी गलत भएको र त्यो मलम मुख भित्र प्रयोग गर्न नमिल्ने भनेर अर्को मलम दिए । डाक्टर भन्दै थिए यो मलम निलियो भने त विरामी मर्न पनि सक्छ । कसरी लापरबाहीले मलाइ आकस्मिक कक्षका डाक्टरले त्यो मलम लिन पठाए? विरामी आकस्मिक कक्षमा लगेर राखेको एक घण्टा सम्म पनि किन वास्ता गरिएन? यी यावत प्रश्न मेरो मनमा मडारिरहन्छन् । यस्तै छ यहको चलन । त्यसैले डाक्टरको लापरबाही हुदैन भन्न सक्ने अवस्था छैन । डाक्टरहरुले विरामी माथि परीक्षण गर्नु हुदैन । डाक्टरको लागी त एउटा विरामी मर्नु कुनै ठुलो कुरा पनि हुदैन किनकी उनीहरुले अस्पतालमा धेरै मान्छे मरेको देखिरहेका हुन्छन् त्यसैले उनीहरुको लागी मान्छे मर्नु सामान्य कुरा हुन्छ तर परिवारको लागी त्यो एउटा कहिल्यै नपुरिने घाउ हुन्छ । जुन अहिले नारायण शाहको परिवारलाई भएको छ । परिवारको मुली नै गए पछि त्यो परिवारले कसरी जीवन गुजारा गर्ने ? साना नानीहरुको पढाई लगायतका यावत कुराको कसले व्यवस्था गर्ने ? त्यसैले यस्तो घट्ना आउँदा दिनमा दोहोरिन नदिन स्वास्थ्यकर्मीले ध्यान दिनु पर्छ ।
यहि घटनाको निहुमा हिजो र आज सम्पूर्ण स्वास्थ्य संस्था बन्द गरि अन्य कैयौको ज्यान खोजिममा पार्ने सबै स्वास्थ्यकर्मी र विशेष गरि नेपाल मेडिकल काउ_िन्सल लाई सरकारले कडा कारवाही गर्न पर्छ । यो निकाय जनता प्रति उत्तरदायी छैन भन्ने प्रमाण उसले आयोजना गरेको यो बन्दले नै पुष्टि गर्छ । नारायण शाहको परिवारलाई कानूनी बाटो अवलम्वन गर्न सुझाव दिनेले आफूले किन कानूनी बाटो नअपनाएर यस्तो गैह्र जिम्मेवारीपन देखायो ? माथी एकजना साथीले लेखे जस्तो यी सबै डाक्टरहरु कारबाहीका भागीदार छन् । यिनीहरुलाई कसले कारबाही गर्ने ? सरकारले गर्न गर्न सक्नेवाला छैन । के जनकारबाही नै गर्नु पर्ने हो ? यस्तो गम्भीर विषयमा सरकारले कुनै कदम नचालि केवल दुःख व्यक्त गर्नु र कार्यक्रम फिर्ता लिन आग्रह गनूृ्र मात्र सरकारको दायित्व हो ? सरकारले कडा निर्देशन जारी गरि स्वास्थ्य संस्था खुलाउनु पर्ने हैन ? अत्यावश्यक सेवा सूचारु गर्न सरकारले जुनसुकै कदम चाल्न सक्ने छूट त कानूनले दिएकै छ । सरकारको फितलोपनले गर्दा जो सुकैले पनि सरकारलाई चुनौती दिदै कानून हातमा लिने प्रवृत्ति बढेको छ । देशमा स्थायी सरकार नभए सम्म यो क्रम जारी नै रहने छ ।

करिब ४ बर्ष अगाडि यस्तै डाक्टरको लापरवाहिको घटनाको वारेमा उजुरि गर्दा मेडिकल काउन्सिल को जिम्मेवार व्यक्तिले नेपालमा पुलिस र डाक्टरलाई मान्छे मार्ने लाइसेन्स छ , तपाईको उजुरिले केहि काम गर्दैन भनेर भनेका थिय । अनि कानुनि बाटो लिदा केहि नलाग्ने भएपछि बिचरा पिडितले तोडफोड नगरेर के गरुन् त ।
यहाँ यस्तै चलन चली सक्यो । बिरोध गरेर टाएर बाल्यो भने मात्र सबैले सुन्छन न भये सुन्ने वाला कोही छैन । डक्टर हरुले पनि ठिकै गरे भन्छु म त । जेन्टल्मेन भएर बस्यो भने यो कम्जोर रहेछ भन्छन । म एउटा प्रस्ताब् राख्छु – अब गाडी मालिक् ड्राइभर र खलान्सि हरु को बिरुद्द पनि आन्दोलन गर्नु पर्ने भएको छ। तिनिहरुको गाडीमा हामी केही दिन न चढि दिउं त – तिन्ले कसरी पैसा कमाउन्दा रहेछन। अती नै भएको छ इनिहरुको मन्परि।।। कस्तो लाग्यो यो प्रस्ताब्।।।
Doctors think about the consequences before taking such harsh action. You ppl are doctors not ordinary people
You people are so respected .Patients and their families treat you like god and in return you give them pain and death.
Please treat them well and behave well.
I have no doubt that in this case this doc is guilty. If he was innocent he and nursing home would have come out with their Clarification long back.
There is one famous saying “one bad fish make the whole pond dirty”.
Some greedy and irresponsible doctors have brought shame upon their whole community.
And instead of punishing this doctor, doctor’s association has proved that they are the herd of sheep not the group of dedicated professionals.
This was actually the great opportunity where doctors could have made their professions more respectful by punishing this man.
Actually we should not blame all doctors. This is due to some senior and greedy doctors who have all the controls.
Doctors I think it’s not necessary that you have to obey orders from those greedy and irresponsible people. Use your head, now time has come.
I also think that in county like Nepal no one should be allowed to open nursing home till all citizens can afford it.
डाक्टर ले सबैलाई मार्ने हैन बचाउने तरिकाले काम गरेको हुन्छ। १००% सर्जरी सफल हुन्छ भनेर कसैले भन्छ भने त्यो मान्छे को दिमाग खुस्केको राइछ भनेर सम्झे हुन्छ तेसैले एउटा मान्छे को ज्यान उपचार गर्द गर्दै मर्छ भने डाक्टरको मात्रै दोश हुँदैन। तेसैले डाक्टर को आन्दोलन ठीक छ १००% ठीक छ किन कि एउटा बिरामी मर्द डाक्टर कै ज्यान लिने कुरा गरिन्छ भने डाक्टर ले सुरक्षा को माग गर्नु एकदम जएज छ । एदी डाक्टरको विश्वाश लाग्दैन मर्छ मात्रै जस्तो लाग्छ भने hospital किन आउनु घर मै बसेर धामी झ्याक्री लगाउनु ठीक हैन र ?
Otherwise docs will simply refuse to treat patients who are gravely ill. Why should a doc cure someone, who is almost certain to die? to take the blame of his death?
All those who are against docs should think about this. If they wish that DOc should try to cure a patient even if chances of curing are small, they should support this agitation.
thats why i am supporting this doctors agitation. Docs must be protected against these sorts of allegations and vandalism.
माथि साथीहरुले लेखेको कमेन्टमा मेरो एक रत्ती सहमती छैन। कुनै पनि बिरामी डाक्टर कहाँ जाँदा निम्न कुराहरुमा आपसी समझदारी स्वत: भएको हुन्छ :
1) Doc is the one who has better knowledge about illness.
2) Patient is the ill person who approaches doc to seek his advice and get cured.
3) After diagonising his illness doc explains the varieties of therapie to help patient get well i.e. he explains the side-effects, duration of cure and the risks involved with it.
4) The Doc can prescribe a medicine only after the patient agrees with the therapie that doc is intending to apply. That means ITS THE PATIENT who DECIDES what kind of THERAPIE to accept. Even if DOC wants to TRANSFER him to OTHER hospital, its only with the CONSENT of HIS PATIENT.
5) DURING THE TIME OF THERAPIE IF THE PATIENT´S CONDITION WORSENS OR IF HE DIES, THE DOC CANNOT BE BLAMED FOR THIS UNFORTUNATE EVENT. DOC IS NOT GOD. thats the reason why patients´family are asked to fill the form when they admit someone to hospital. Its the contract that states noone is to blame in case of death or furthur degradation of health!
6) All the documents and details of his illness are confidential and therefore they cannot be made public. These documents will be treated as private property of the hospital, which can only be accessed for the sake of curing similar illness with other patient.
What i said above the basic guidelines for all hospitals all over the world. Its to protect doctors from vandalism. Just imagine, millions die in hospital every year, and if docs are to blame for it, then just imagine the sort of vandalism and chaos it will invite. Accidents do happen, i feel sorry for the family, but its the best of all interests to accept this loss. I´m sure that DOc had not wished his death. its irrepairable, but there is no other choice than to accept it.

मूख्य कुरा सरकारले कानून बनाउनु पर्यो, अनुगमन गर्नुपर्यो, कार्यन्वयन गर्नुपर्यो, गलत गर्नेलाई कारबाही गर्नुपर्यो । सेवाग्रहिले उचित सेवा पाउनुपर्यो, सेवा दिनेको मनोबल बढाउनु पर्यो, सुरक्षा दिनुपर्यो । अनी सबैतर्फ सुधार हुने हो । केही छैन ! सोच नेत्रित्वमा फूले न फल्छ, टिप्न पाउंछन जनताले । खै कहिले साकार होला जनचाहना?

Doctors are also the most corrupted people in Nepal. This is evidenced by:
(1) Refering serious patients to the public hospitals thereby minimizing risks to the private nursing homes.
(2) In Butawal, it was found that a doctor resorted to an ineligible handwriting of the prescription so that the medicine can be procured only from a particular medical store – possibly having financial interest of the medical doctor.
(3) In order to screw poor patients, doctors resort to elaborate and often unnecessary check ups.
(4) Once in Hargun’s Nurshing Home at Jawalakhel, (forutnate that it is closed now), I went to visit the medical doctor because he had asked me to visit him after the completion of the medicine he as prescribed for my sick child. I went to see him after a month because the prescribed dose of medicine was over only after a month. While visiting him, he insisted on paying the fee; I insisted that it is just a referal case, so why should I pay the fee. He reasoned that such free refer is applicable only for two weeks at most. I insisted then why he prescribed a medicine for a month. Finally, no way, I have to pay the fee. These medical doctors are suckers here.
First of all, I want to request with all the Doctors to remember their Hippocratic Oath. As a consumer most of the people have a bitter experience especially at public hospitals. I think, a great number of Doctors need an orientation about the dealing with the service holders.
In my opinion, when ever we don’t do some thing about these root causes present problem will be repeatedly arises in future also.
यो साह्रै दुख्ख लाग्दो कुरा हो । तर के गर्नु गर्नै पर्ने भए पछी । आफन्त कसैको मृत्यु भयो भने दुख्ख त लागि हाल्छ नि तर दुख्खको ताल मा डक्टर पिट्ने अस्पताल फोड्ने गर्छन आफन्तहरु । पैसाको लागि मर्ने डक्टर छन तर सबै त्यस्तै त छैनन नि काल आए पछी भगवानले पनि बच्चाउनु सक्तैन तर अस्पातलमा मान्छे मर्यो भने डक्टर भागआभाग हुने स्थिती आयो अनी के गरुन बिचरा । तर यसरी सबै सेबा नै बन्द चाँही गर्नु नहुने हो ।
In the newspaper, it is published that the patient was taken to the nursing home from Bir hosspital, and when the case began serious, then again taken to the Bir hospital. Consequently due to the negligence of the doctors, the patient died.
Nepali consumers are innocent. They hope that doctors will save the patients but the neither professionally work with ethics nor they do communicate to the patients doctors, their relatives. The doctors act as if they, intellectual, and should be speak with the poor patient.
Doctors in nursing home experiment a living body, cuts patients like a frog for thier learning. Do the doctors do the same treatmetn with their parents, relatives. It is not surprising that one should always seek for nepotism just for treatment. The state is shameless.
The doctor killed the patient and now their organisation is announcing protest. Consumers should be unied, take strong action against such butcher homes (not nursing home). If the butcher Adhikari had worked with professional ethics, cured the patient with his level best, why did he disappear till three days, why did not he speak anything? why was nursing home management quiet for many days?
What a surprise? Injuries party should approach to take legal action? Why does not Dr Adhikari take legal action against this and why is his association is coming to umbrella? What is message of this protest of medical association? Is it, so called doctors should be forgiven even if they kill people in the name of treatment?
Remember, strike is not the solution. Learn to work professionally. Think your father, or yourself in the place of that deceased. What happens to their children. Who will take care of parental responsibility to those 4 children? Due to the greedyness of Dr Adhikari, and the Everest Butcher home, 5 lives are deserted in the street. A complete family is destoyed and and future of those 4 children?
Can any doctor imagine such tragic case in your own family? does any doctor have approprite and reasonalbe answer? Every consumer has right to ask question to the protestors whether they can justify the strike.
