अंग्रेजी नजानी अमेरिका आउन हुन्छ कि हुँदैन भनेर मैले माइसंसारका पाठकहरुबाट सुझाव मागेको थिएँ कान्तिपुरमा छापिएको एउटा विज्ञापनको सन्दर्भ जोड्दै। काठमाडौँ मुख्य कार्यालय रहेको एउटा एजुकेसनल कन्सलटेन्सीले अमेरिकाको Virgina International University मा २, ३, ४ र ८ हप्ताका विभिन्न विषयमा सेमिनार, तालिम, वर्कसपमा सहभागी हुन इच्छुकहरुबाट आवेदन मागेको रहेछ। योग्यता तोकिएको छैन। TOEFL, IELTS पनि गर्नु पर्दैन रे। इंग्लिस नआए युनिभर्सिटी आफैले ट्रान्सलेटर राखिदिनेछ रे। त्यो विवरण पढेर मलाई अलि शंका लाग्यो। यसको जवाफमा धेरैले त्यो ठगी हुनसक्ने बताए। तर त्यही युनिभर्सिटीमा अध्ययन गरिरहेका भन्ने दुई जनाको प्रतिक्रियाले भने मलाई अन्यौलमा पारिदियो। आखिर साँचो के रहेछ त ?

    if your are thinking of coming USA by hook or crook than there is nothing left for us to say anything and it is meaningless for you to come here and ask ppl for advice. As per Mr. dilli have said this is a worthless course. First of all it shouldn’t be consider as course at all CPES Career success seminars are mave available to every students in school from their advisor free of charge. Even if u wanted to come usa for your further study why not to apply for some good colleges. Prepare for toefl go to USCIS in ktm and find colleges for you. why you are getting involved in this consultancy? You can even find some colleges who will give you some scholarship but mostly those colleges are in Midwest. I live in maryland which is not that so far from Virginia. I first came to knowledge of this univ. when this nepali got girl killed (lord rest her in peace) in accident probably last year. A The above mention univ and there is another univ names Strayer univ. which is totally bogus. Even if you Graduate from there you will have hard time to find a job. I have met plenty of people (nepali, indian, chinese, amrikaaney0 who are graduate of these colleges who are still jobless.

  12. It is based on aim why you want to come America? If you are thinking for higher study then I suggest you to do toefl. If you think it is not possible for you to do toefl then do undergraduate in medical/engineering related subjects in Nepal/India, improve your skill set including english and then try toefl and try to come for master.

    But if your aim is just to enter to us, even everything is true it is very difficult to get the Visa. In this case do not spend lot of money for cosultancy and other purpose before getting the visa.

  14. Ravi ji, I just called on 703-591-7042 (which is given by Manoj) and one guy had told that there are seminars on student affairs. Currently there will be a seminar on 31 july, 2009 and they don’t need any english tests and provide translaters. But Majoj had told that he is working there and there are no seminars at all. So I am confused that Manoj says there is no seminar but information I got from that tel no. (provided by Manoj)operator says there are seminars and recently on 31 july. So there might be sonething worng. please be careful.

    मित्रहरु, तलिम लिने मात्रै बिचार भए नेपालमै तेत्तिका ईन्स्टिच्युटहरु छ्यासछ्यास्ती छन, तेतै लागे भैगो नि । कुरा उस्तै हो । नेपालको पैसा बिदेश लगेर (यो बिज्ञापन अनुसार)किन समय र धनको नस्ट गर्नु हुन्छ?

    All the people involve in that seminar are likely to be cheaters.
    1. Lets suppose that university is really going to run seminars. if that university is taking international students without assessing their english, than its clear that they are not giving quality seminar but just grabing money. SO THEY ARE CHEATER.
    2. If any education consultancy advicing the people, who doesnot have good english, to attend that seminar, than its clear that they are not giving quality consultation but just grabing money. SO THEY ARE CHEATER.
    3. If the students who know themselves that they donot have good english to atend that seminar and stil eager to attend seminar by paying larger sum of money, than they are not really wanting to take that seminar but just want to enter America and grab the money by working their illegally for several years. SO THEY ARE CHEATER AS WELL.

  17. if the seminar is in english, the peoples who are supposed to attend that seminar must know english, otherwise there is no point of attending that seminar.

  18. As far as I know, from my research, being in the USA for a couple of years, no University will admit any student without TOFEL/IELTS. But, the issue here is a seminar or short course, just to enter USA, which, I think Rabjee is crazy about. So, my advise will be work hard, earn a lot of money, and try for a tourist visa. You might be blessed with tourist visa someday if you have plenty of funds to cover up your expenses while you tour to USA and perhaps European communities too. So, that way, your dream of coming USA will be fulfilled. But, please do not run after all those fake advertisement, they are just trying to make easy money. Believe this and now go back to work!:)

    1. I saw on application form, that $100 is application fees, how about the postage fees?
    2. What is $1000 refundable fee? Is that part of tuition fees?
    3. Am I supposed to pay $ 1000 +$100 + postage fees( how much?)? Do we have any freeships?

    Do you have any programme related to hospitality managment?

    Well, yes its for me and my brother. I wonder if there can be further discounts if I try arranging a group for you?

The visa you will be applying for is a tourist visa, not an F-1 visa. We can send you a letter of invitation from the school for you to take your visa appointment. We require all fees for the course to be paid 21 days in advance before you arrive at the university. The tuition fee is refundable, but the postage fee and application fee is non-refundable.     1. You are applying for short training? not for study-if embesey will give u visa(99% chance of rejection), u can come.

  21. Why can’t people do a bit of research before jumping into anything? If you know the university name, why can’t you just visit the university website and research about what you are looking for? Send a couple of inquiries through e-mail, and see how that turns out. So the point is, DO NOT believe in advertisements rightaway. Please be aware of the fact that, if you can’t read, write and speak english (or say, do not know how to use internet for research), and want to come to US or Canada by blowing your savings, you will suffer big time here!

    Who Should Attend?

    VIU student employees and all other VIU students who wish to develop and sharpen their career skills are encouraged to attend CPES Career Success Seminars. Other members of the community are also invited to attend CPES Career Success seminars. Virginia International University will issue a certificate of completion to all participants who successfully complete CPES Career Success seminars and will also issue a CPES Career Success Diploma to individuals who successfully complete nine hours of CPES Career Success training. Anyone who wishes to secure credentials such as these to demonstrate career success skills training will therefore be a prime candidate for attending CPES Career Success seminars. High school students, career switchers, unemployed individuals, and business professionals will all benefit from CPES Career Success Seminars.

    Degree Requirements:
