सिड्नीमा थुप्रै नेपालीहरु पढ्दै गरेको स्टर्लिङ कलेज आज मंगलबारदेखि बन्द भएको छ। कलेजमा “कम्युनिटी वेलफेयर” पढाइ हुने गरेको थियो। छिट्टै “पर्मानेन्ट रेसिडेन्सी” पाइने आशामा अहिले कम्युनिटी वेलफेयर पढ्ने नेपालीहरुको सङ्ख्या थुप्रै छ।
उक्त कलेज बन्दको समाचारले सिड्नी बस्ने सबै नेपालीहरुलाई कुनै न कुनै तरिकाले पक्कै दु:ख पुर्याएको छ। किनकि प्राय: सबैको नजिकको मान्छे, दिदी-बहिनी, साथी वा कोही त्यहाँ पढ्दै थिए।
यसरी कलेज बन्द भएको सिड्नीमा पहिलोपटक भने होइन। यसअघि धेरै कलेजहरु बन्द भइसके। केही महिना अघिमात्र नेपालीहरुद्वारा नै सन्चालित ग्लोबल कलेज बन्द हुँदा पनि धेरै नेपालीले दु:ख पाएका थिए। तर यस बारेमा यहाँका सम्बन्धित अधिकारीहरुले खासै चासो देखाएको पाइएको छैन।
As being NRN Australia member i got an e-mail form them, where they show their concern and demand to secure their future. More than 100 neplease student get enroll dreaming bright future. I hope our NRN officer will acteively involved as per their full strength and nepealese student will get best option and won’t loose any money lessor time.

NRNA Australia (Non-Resident Nepali Association Australia), a member of the global network of national councils of Nepalese community of more than 50 countries, is a large organization of the Nepalese community in Australia. One of our main objectives is to safeguard the interest of all the Nepalese community for their educational, business and professional needs and activities. According to recent AEI report more than 14,000 students are pursuing different courses in certificate, diploma and university levels Australia wide to gain a quality Australian educational degree.
We were shocked and disappointed with the above news and now extremely concerned about the future of those Nepalese students who were studying in this college. The hopes of those students to complete educational degree and starting a future career have been shattered. We would like to draw your kind attention that the above incident has caused mental trauma and financial crisis to Nepalese students. Therefore we kindly request you to provide them a safety net of guarantee in protecting the academic and financial needs.

MIT is not runned by state government. it is totally private college of nepalese sesh ghale. exam bhanda 1 week pahila sample question paper dinchhan ani exam ma same to same question hunchhan. tapaiko bichar ma MIT ko standard is higher hai…… ramro sanga bhujera comment garnu na ho sathi………
This is primarily due to the influx of Nepalese who wanted to come over to Australia at any cost. To cater that, a lot of low standard commercial colleges cropped have cropped up. Taking aside the blame on regulatory bodies in Australia for a moment, a lot of onus falls on students as well.
I recall when I was studying in Australia 10 or so years ago, the only students who use to come here were top students in their faculty back in Nepal and were on very prestigious government scholarships. Many of them now hold prestigeous jobs in Australia as scientists, scholars and are in highly regarded profession.
The time has changed now. Now practically any students can buy their way to Australia irrespective of their aptitude in higher education. With this, throw in the mix of distractions of city life, the newly found freedom and greed and short term vision, and you have a apparent disaster brewing.

If you feel you can’t afford Uni goto tafe,CIT MIT its runned by state govt so there standards are higher..more valued n chances of getin exemption from the high quality university.

Sorry to hear that in recent days, Nepalese students in Sydney are facing hard time. Adding to this is the closure of Colleges. I, myself,came to Australia about few years ago to pursue a higher degree and of course residency.I always had in my mind what my future goals and what i need to do. I had consulted most of the people whom I knew and were living in Australia about the situation and course. As a result, I believe, my (and many people who came before and around that time)hard work and dedication paid off and we achieved what we came for i.e. a good and a secured future.
Recently, I have been noticing that people come to Australia just to get residency, in whatever course. It really does not matter to them whether they have future or not. PR and PR and PR. Nothing else matters to them. Only if they had not just relied on so called doggie agents back home and not chose some crappy colleges, it would have been a different story today. Yes, life is getting harder in Sydney and other parts of Australia but a better consultation with relatives or friends or seniors who are already here would give new comers a better chance for better future. Any new applicant, you are most welcome to this wonderful country but please please ensure that you are doing the right thing and not just relying on the agents. Contact your near ones who are already here because most of them would have already gone through the phase of being student here and I bet it would definitely saves you heaps of money too (you don’t have to pay for agents to get a place at college).

There are many more Colleges and Institutes in Sydney which are in Black list means any time may be closed. One of my Institute “WINDSOR” in sydney is in black list probably will be closed at any time. Almost we 60% Nepalie’s students are studying in this Institute.

Its better to go to university than these cheap colleges. Even if you prefere colleges than why not go to TAFE. The Education is good there.

I want to suggest all those graduates to think if they can come to middleeast instead of staying back there. Here loads of companies take fresh graduates or if you have experiences then another asset for you. Better living standards, better wages, and yes tax free, full facilities given by company for medical, life insurance,business trip allowences,, paid leaves, annaul tickets to home,annaul tickets to families. Or if you are lucky enough to enter into Government sector, then your children will study free of cost!
We have very bad mentality about middle east” Chhi, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait?” But have they ever consulted with some highly educated people working in Qatar, Kuwait? They are just concluding since majority of workers here are daily labours, who come here without proper educations, skills.
If middle east would be that bad, why would all those westners come and work here? People from switzerland, Norway, Canada who even didnt know what is Hot sun, come here and work, why?
I cant compare the salary given to westeners and Asian, but still they pay better. Lots of my frens are in Aussie, some of them are cleaning floors, washing dishes, is that why they did graduation? Have we ever thought why India is going up? Middle east is full of Indians, mainly south Indians, come and see how they tackle the people, how they work, they go US, UK, Aussie on their holidays and come back to their own company again, why, because they liked the dry weather? Here all offices, houses and vehicles are fully equipped with AC, so except for those labours who work out or offshore dont have to worry about the hot weather.
I want to comment on one more thing too, if someone who holds the passport of US, Canada, UK or Aussie, and have relavent experiences, try your luck in middle east. Search the job in middle eastern companies through their webportals.
Middle east has lots of Affiliated universities, you can do your graduation or post graduation while you work. Classes are just Fridays and saturdays or every lateevening on weekdays. Or if you can selfstudy, you dont need to take any classes for which even fees are also cheaper. The fees ranges from Qr. 2500 to 3500/ year, if you are working in renowned company then, that will be not be hard for you to pay. I am talking about the jobs for highly skilled or semi skilled graduates or fresh graduates.
Caution: We must discourage the people coming into this part of world who has no skills, doesnt speak English or atleast Arabic and those of having no educational background.
PS: Beause of current economic climate things are little bit difficult here as well, but you can wait for some time and can give your try. This is not an advertisement, readers can get their own ideas from the articles of newspapers, webportals or anything which gives infos about Middle east. No enforcements, reader’s own successfull discretion is advised!

Thanks for news but u also have send miss information to the people. Global collage was not run by neplease people. That was sure, lots of neplease student had to move to another collage because of its dismissal last year.

Guys do more research find out the details through your friends..online or family.before you choose your college or university.It is very hard to find a rental property..even harder to find a job and this doggy college/uni ripin off student.If you seriously thinking of bein educated n educaation is your priority think n research more before you jump.if you just want to have a PR or make some money this colleges n uni r good option.they not so cheap but they flexible dont’ need to attend college most case they dont’ even have teacher or classrooms.chef course no kitchen.dont’ trust consultant or agency..do your own homework.If you are applying for PR do it yourslf all the required info in online + you can ring n find out more info from immigration.Migration agents are not a lawayer they just a agent (malpot ko baira license ko baira basne lekhandas jastai) they can give you idea but they can’t do anything rather then enrolling you to shitty college n making big bucks out of your misery.
college gives them heavy bonus+ commision so they encourage you to goto this shit colleges..n university.they are plenty of uni charges you heaps n teach you nothing you have graduate foto n certificate to hang on to your wall.its just a waste of money..
guys if you in sydney ..melb or ne part of australia share your experience knowledge n let all those young people who are dreaming for overseas education some info so they can take extra precaution n not fail into same problems as you all did

Be careful if you are joining colleges in Australia, especially in Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne.
These colleges are cheap but could have bad consequences like this one.
If you are willing to do Diploma level course join TAFE (it is a government college) or any Universities.
The colleges like Sterling or Global.,…. are like consultancies in Bagbazaar/putalishadak.

i think this is not a big deal in australia to deregister the educational institute.It was happend to me 1 yr before as well. what i would like to suggest the students is ask the college’s chairman for credit transfer in another educational college without any increament in course fee and also can ask for full refund if the student doesnt want to study that subject or simply contact the legal aid or ESOS.They can help in this matter.

yesterday in four courners they showed all abt how international students are cheated by the scam colleges and pr cosultantants. I was bit shocked all these happening in australia.
Government should close these insititutions but should also take responsibilities for the international students and their studies.
ज्यादै नराम्रो भएछ सिड्नीमा . तर राम्रो कुरा हो नेपालमा . किनकि बैदेशिक शिक्षाको लगानी कतिको productivity भैरहेको छ भन्ने वास्तविक सत्य थाहा पाऊन नेपालको सरकारी पक्छ र अभिभाबक पक्छको सोचाई नै गको छैन . community welfare बाट चलेको community college हरुमा बाहेक अन्य college हरुमा नेपालीहरुको studying चान्स छैन . किनकी नेपालीहरुको लागि यस्ता college बाहेक अन्य college मा अफ्फोर्ड standard match गर्न एकदम unexpected हुन्छ . तर यस्ता community college हरुमा study गर्नु जानु भनेको बिदेशमा student visa मा USA, Canada, UK, Australia जस्तो advance conuntry हरुमा Vasine बाटो मात्र हो नेपालीहरुको लागि . खासै विदेशको education हासिल गरेर absolute different हुन र बन्नको लागि यस्ता college हरुमा study गर्न आउनु भन्दा त नेपालमा नै राम्रो collge मा study गरेर सर्बोत्तम व्यक्ति हुनु उपयुक्त हुन्छ . तर Nepalka कतिपय त्येस्ता college हरु पनि छन् तिनीहरुको oochha शिछा को लागि college स्थापना गरेको देखाए पनि ऊनिहरुको आन्तरिक ऊद्हेश्य भने students लाई विदेश पठाउने दाउ हुदो रहेछ . तिनीहरुले चाँही college को नाम मा manpower खोलेको भने पनि हुन्छ फरक यति मात्र हो ऊनिहरुसंगा शैक्चिक सस्थाको प्रमाण पत्र हुन्छ . tesaile Yasta ghatna bat Lesson siknu parchha sabaile.

Really,its’ a painful news for the nepalese students,their family too.people are going to abroad study for the short highfy…but last no…any gain with out pain.they loss their age,labour and so on.

Sagunji, it is not good sign….but those who left Nepal to admit this college only for migration to Austrlia has hampered thier aim. Otherwise…they can choose another college.
Yes ur right Retino.And it doesnot make any difference to the western country like Australia, US, UK even if they dont have international student. But knowing the fact that they are been used as money making cows , which has been mentioned by indian authorities in Australia, why students keep on coming….I believe they are after the permanent residency.. no thingmore than that….So i highly advice our nepalese friends and family please think twice ,thrice before u decide going overseas.Its nota joke trus tme. U gotta think abt the money ur investing for ur education… and the life i n that particular country ur gonna go through…. Think once, twice, thrice and if u r still confused or in dilema just taketheadvice from ur rlatives and frens whose status is exactly like ur one i n near future.. THINK THINK THINK AND DECIDE….. It is sad to see so many young people in search of better education..coming to australia had to suffer so much pain n gain no education what so ever just a permanent residency.Its taking so long to process as well.I think Nepalese consulatancy shouldnt’ lie to young student who really want to study and be educated to goto this type of colleges or university.there are not just a college lots of university as well who have no quality education wat so eva its jst a certificate that gives you a PR and you work as a dishwasher or cleaner whole life.hiding from family.
guys if you already in australia name to low quality college university to protect other Nepalese coming to australia on that particular uni/college n ruin there life

University (don’t fool with university this teaches you nothing charges you a lot. No one knows or not regarded as good uni )

3.Ballarat Univeristy (sydney only) ballarat one is really good.
4.Holmes college (tiny floor with nothing jst a visa factory)
guys keep naming them..i think we can atleast make other fellow student aware of what’s happening. Consulatancy get upto 25% bonus for sending student to this type of college n university so they tend to encourage everyone to goto this type of uni/college.Good uni hardly gives them 7% commission so they discourage people going to those uni
Go to Tafe or proper university..its lil hard but pays off at the end with quality education. If education is your main priority dont be fool by Educational consulatancy..they making lots of money on your misery..research..ask frens n family..be serious about it n decide..australia aaunu paye bhandai ma gari halnu hudaina
finding room for rent/job is extremely hard.even if you do find one its not easy..odd hours less money..exploited market. think before you decide

एस्ता कलेजहरु बंद हुदा तेहा पढ्दै गरेकालाई गारो पर्ने स्वाभाबिकै हो तर येसको राम्रो पक्ष्य भनेको भाबिस्यमा अरू नेपाली फस्ने छैनन !!
I think this is not a good sign, however its a right move by the government to discourage unhealthy education market. Hopefully another college named LAmart college offering couumnity welfare might face the same consequence.
International students are holy money making cows who are slaughtered everyday.
Nepalese authorities should take criminal and fraud actions against the consultancies here in nepal.
