भरतकेशर सिंहलाई आक्रोशित भीडले भकुरेको विषय विस्तारै ठूलै मुद्दा बन्दै गइरहेको छ। मानार्थ शाही पार्श्ववर्ती र विश्व हिन्दु महासंघका अध्यक्ष भरतकेशर सिंहलाई आज रानी को मलले पनि भलाकुसारी गरेछन्। उता, विद्यार्थीहरुले पनि यो मुद्दालाई हेपाइ खाएर त्यसै नछाड्ने भएका छन्। माथिको फोटो अमृत साइन्स क्याम्पसका विद्यार्थीहरुले बिहीबार बिहान गरेको विरोध प्रदर्शनको हो। उनीहरुले भरतकेशरलाई हत्कडी लगाएको आरोपमा दरबारमार्गका प्रहरी इन्सपेक्टर आभुषण तिमल्सिनालाई गरिएको कारबाही फिर्ता लिनुपर्ने माग गर्दै कम्मरमाथिका लुगा खोलेर प्रदर्शन गरेका थिए। फोटोः सागर श्रेष्ठ
आफैले ठक्कर दिएर पनि उल्टै कुटपिट गरेकोले जवाफी कारबाही गरेको भन्दे यो घटनाको जिम्मेवारी अनेरास्ववियुले लिइसकेको छ र लगातार निर्मल निवासबाट धम्कीहरु आइरहेको पनि उसले बताएको छ। अखिलकाहरु हिजो दिनभर र आज पनि बैठकमा रहे। उनीहरुले यो मुद्दालाई अन्य आठ विद्यार्थीसित मिलेर दबाबका रुपमा उठाउने भएका छन्। बिहीबार बिहान उनीहरुले प्रदर्शन गरेका थिए। शुक्रबार पनि उनीहरुले यसलाई जारी राख्ने भएका छन्।
उता, बिहीबार नै रानी कोमलले सैनिक अस्पताल छाउनीमै पुगी उपचार गराइरहेका भरतकेशर सिंहलाई भेटेकी छिन्। मंगलबार लैनचौरमा आक्रोशित भीडले कुटपिट गर्दा टाउको र आँखामा चोट परी सैनिक अस्पतालमा उपचार गराइरहेका सिंहको स्वास्थ्य स्थिति बुझ्न छाउनी गएकी रानी कोमल र सिंहबीच करीब सवा घण्टा कुराकानी भएको अस्पतालसूत्रलाई उद्धृत गर्दै स्वतन्त्र समाचार सेवाले जनाएको छ।
भेटका क्रममा सिंहले आफू असुरक्षित भएको भनी सूचना दिंदासमेत नेपाली सेनाले कुनै सुरक्षा दिएन भनी रानी कोमलसमक्ष गुनासो गरेछन्।
सैनिक सूत्रका अनुसार कार्यरथी विभाग सम्हालेका उपरथी प्रदीपप्रताप बम मल्ललाई उक्त घटनामा जिम्मेवार ठहर्याइएको छ। तर, असारभित्रै सेवाबाट अवकास पाउनलागेका मल्ललाई यो घटनासँग जोडी कारबाही गर्न लागेको बिषयलाई लिएर सेनाभित्र चासो बढेको सैनिक सूत्रले जनाएको छ।
भरतकेशरलाई हत्कडी लगाएवापत् कारबाहीमा परेका इन्सपेक्टर आभुषण तिमिल्सिना भने अहिले विदामा बसेका छन्। उनलाई स्पष्टिकरण सोधिएको थियो र दरबारमार्ग प्रहरी चौकीबाट जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा फिर्ता बोलाइएको थियो। कान्तिपुरले “शक्तिकेन्द्रबाट राति फोन आएपछि उनलाई कारबाही गर्न संगठन बाध्य भएको हो” भनी स्रोतलाई उदधृत गर्दै
छापेपछि विद्यार्थीहरु विरोधमा उत्रिएका हुन्।
कान्तिपुरमा कारबाहीमा परेका इन्सपेक्टरका भनाई पनि छापिएका छन्- ” दुई पटक प्रधानमन्त्री भइसकेका व्यक्तिलाई हत्कडी लगाउन हुने, भरतकेशरलाई लगाउन नहुने ? भीड तितरबितर पार्न लाठीचार्ज र गोली फायर गर्ने स्थिति थिएन, त्यसो गरेको भए १५-२० जनाको ज्यान जान्थ्यो, होटल मल्ल जलेर खरानी हुन्थ्यो।”
कुनै पनि पक्षले जाहेरी नदिएकाले अनुसन्धान बढाउन नसकिएको भनी त्यसमा छापिएको थियो। तर आज पीडित आङदाबा शेर्पाले जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा ज्यानको सुरक्षा गराइपाउन जाहेरी दिएका छन्। उनले घटनापछि आफूलाई रिङटा लाग्ने गरेको र ज्वरो आएको बताएका छन्।
अब हेर्नुछ, घाइते बाघका सहयोगीलाई घाइते पारिएको छ, के नतिजा हुने हो यसको- एक दुई दिनमा देखिने नै छ।

राजावादी राजनीतिमा चर्को कुरा गर्दै बेलाबखत चर्चामा आइरहने अर्का जर्नेल हुन्, भरतकेशर सिंह । राजाको मानार्थ शाही पाश्र्ववर्ती भएकाले उनको बोलीलाई राजासँगै जोडेर हेर्ने गरिन्छ । विश्व हिन्दू महासङ्घको अध्यक्ष उनको अर्को परिचय हो । त्यसैले राजावादी राजनीति र हिन्दू कट्टरपन्थी स्वभाव उनको सदाबहार परिचय हो । “गणतन्त्र र धर्मनिरपेक्षता त ज्यान गए पनि मान्दिनँ !” सिंह भन्छन् ।
उनी बेलाबखत राजासँग भेटघाट हुँदा आफूलाई लागेको कुरा जाहेर गर्ने बताउँछन् । कस्तो सल्लाह दिनुहुन्छ ? “राजालाई दिएको सुझाव, राजाले भनेको कुरा पत्रकारलाई भन्ने कुरा हैन । भन्नु पनि हुँदैन । के सुझाव टक्र्याइयो, सरकारबाट के हुकुम भयो भन्ने कुरा बडो व्यक्तिगत हो,” उनी जवाफ दिन्छन् । धर्मसम्बन्धी सल्लाह त दिनुहुन्छ होला नि ? “म अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय हिन्दू महासङ्घको अध्यक्ष भएकाले सरकारले के भइरहेछ भन्नु स्वाभाविक कुरा हो !” राजालाई सेनासम्बन्धी सल्लाह दिने गरेको पनि उनले बताए तर कस्तो किसिमको भन्ने खुलासा गर्नचाहिँ मानेनन् ।
७३ वर्षअघि कालधारामा जन्मिएका सिंहलाई सानैदेखि सेनामा जागिर खाने रहर थियो । त्यही रहरलाई उनले अठोटमा बदले र सुरु गरे शाही नेपाली सेनाको जागिर । तत्कालीन युवराज वीरेन्द्र बेलायतको इटन कलेजमा पढ्दा उनी लण्डनस्थित नेपाली दूतावासमा सैनिक सहचारी थिए । ०४२ सालमा उपरथी पदबाट सेवानिवृत्त सिंह पछिल्लो वर्ष मानार्थ शाही पाश्र्ववर्ती नियुक्त भए । त्यसपछि लगत्तै अर्को वर्ष बेलायतका लागि राजदूत । उताबाट फर्किएपछि चाहिँ हिन्दू धर्मको गतिविधिमा उनको सक्रियता बढ्यो । सन् १९९३ मा विश्व हिन्दू महासङ्घको आजीवन सदस्य भएका सिंह कार्यकारिणी सदस्य, वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष हुँदै दुई वर्षअघि अध्यक्ष नै भए । उनको कार्यकालमा राजालाई हिन्दू सम्राटको उपाधिले अभिनन्दन गरियो ।
‘असोज १८’ मा राजाले शासनसत्ता आफ्नो हातमा लिएपछि उनी खुलेरै राजावादी राजनीतिमा लागे । राजनीतिक दल र माओवादीको उनी खुलेरै विरोध गर्छन् । अघिल्लो वर्ष प्रतिगमनविरुद्धको आन्दोलन चलिरहँदा सिंहले दलहरूका बारेमा नेपाल मार्फत टिप्पणी गरेका थिए, “लट्ठी नपुगेको हो, एउटा जङ्गबहादुर चाहिन्छ ।”
माओवादीको विषयमा उनी अझ कडा रूपमा प्रस्तुत हुन्छन् । त्यतिखेर उनले नेपालसँग भनेका थिए, “माओवादीसँग वार्ताको कुरा त गर्नैहुँदैन ।” अहिले नि ? सिंहको जवाफ छ, “माओवादीले हतियार नबुझाएसम्म त वार्ता गर्नैहुँदैन ।”
सच्याउनु पर्दैन, “रानी कोमल्” भन्दा त “रानी को मल्” नै ठीक छ नि !

Well, if a dog bites, we should also bite the dog. That’s what many people are arguing and beleive that this is a true democracy.
I think some people may not have understood the comments of Rai and Gyane Pokharel …becuase they had negative feelings on those comments. The question Mr Rai raised is to show Bharat Keshar and alike a difference between democracy and autocracy. If we start fighting in the street blaimg each other, then you tell us, what will be the future ??? continuing violence ??? Any leaders, so called MANDALE or Milan Chakre or Student Leaders from ASCOL are guided by politicians. For eg, Bam Dev was god father for Milan Chakre, Khum Bahadur for Raju Gorkhali etc etc. So lets keep fighting ! !!!

Information can be given from different angles. Until proven guilty, we must assume innocence. Physical punishment is only suitable for Taleban and Saddam Hussain not in other .. If we consider ourselves civilized and sovereign Nepali, we should not bite the dog.

As long as the feudal system remains powerful, the event like this “The Rough Justice” will keep on happening in the country. It is the only method royalists will understand and dare to venture in future. If students have not taken the law in their hand where on earth the common Nepali Angdaba Shepa gets his justice. Instead, even when he was not at fault, he was scolded and beaten by Singh brothers.
The feudal system is still powerful in the country. We still have to see its demise. The royal family and royalists are placed above the law and they are still considered as untouchables and the common man can not get justice when confronted with them.
It is because we still have unfinished job of wiping out the monarchy system. The monarchy has to be wiped out before all troubles will cease. The monarchy has no place in 21 century Nepal.
What kind of students are they? Look at their animalistic behaviours. I just wonder how come these guys get into the colleges. Mobsters like these shouldnt be able to go to colleges It is certain that all these 11 students have fallen behind in their studies and can achieve nothing. They know they cant sell themselves. And their acts depict it. And thats why they are trying to lean on to other time wasting and violent activities. Why only wear clothes waist down, why not take all of your clothes off your wasted bodies, you sick losers. Nepal Ama is suffering because of sick people like these. There is not going to be a change unless these kind of people are wiped out from the face of the earth. As a citizen I dont want these guys(bunch of losers)to take up law and order.They are a nuisance to our society. There should be a law which shall harshly punish these people who take matters in their own hands. Nobody should be above the law.
It is a shame on the crowd to involve in such a minor debate. It is clear that Bharat Keshar Singh was assulated because he was a right hand of the King and people got invloved in attacking him with biased and mentality (to take revenge) without knowing the facts of the incidents. Student leaders should not have politisized such incident, rather should stay aloof from such. It is not a democracy to attack – so what is the difference between “Bharat Keshar” and the “crowd” ??? If he was culprit, he should be brought to justice. This is very crucial to understand. We should not put our nose inbetween without knowing the facts. For example, all leaders were promising to “disclose the identity of Pampha Devi” – where is she ? why didn’t they bring her out with her property ?
If you hit someone saying she is Pampha Devi – all the crowd will go and beat her up. You know why ? because they enjoy.
Other thing, why did the inspector use handcuffs ? they were in minority – there was no way they could harm anyonwe. Still, they used handcuffs – why ???
Put yourself in that position – any one can be the victim of the crwod behaviour.
Why can’t the students speak for those who are abducted and killed by Maoists recently ? I know, some student leaders get paid for the acts either from Govt or otherside.
The tendency of demolishing “weak” is a major problem. The King has been handicapped. he has no power. Still, we are after him rather than managing the arms from Maoists.
Umeshji, you have done a great job by informing us every events. However, as a journalist, please try to write the stroy from both sides. Do not be biased.
I am not supporting Bharat Keshar or his sons. If they have committed crimes, they are liable for the punishments.But the way the crowd is behaving is not acceptable is democratic society.

I actually loved the way Komal’s name came out, “Rani Ko Mal”. So, Bharat Keshar got a whiff of royal “perfume”, eh? *laughing”
And, oh, I just loved the word “Bhakuriyo”. I mean, the word packed quite a punch. If you had used other words instead (such as “Pitiyo”, “Chutiyo”, “Kutiyo”, etc.), it just wouldn’t have had the same impact.

1. If anyone has any problem with the word “bhakurio” then the closest alternative is “godiyo” or “godai khaye”. I find the word “bhakuriyo” most appropriate in this case.
Those who want to debate in the appropriateness of the word have not been able to suggest the alternative word.
2. Oh, so kind of her majesty queen ko mal to visit Bharate in hospital. Who will inquire about the health of this poor Sherpa fellow who was in the receiving end of the wrath of Bharat keshari and his sons? Will the Queen or anyone from the 33 ropani plot of Narayanhity care for this Sherpa fellow? I applaud the students who are taking it up as an issue.
3. How did the Bharat Keshari sons got out of the army? There should be an investigative report on these two sons. These feudal type people have used the army for employment as if it is their private company. Reduce the size of the army upto 20,000 and the number of officers will automatically reduce.
4. Please dig more into the past of Bharat Keshari and let us know.

२०४६ सालमा पनि बहुदल घोषणा भएकै दिन शाह लुसुक्क सिंगापुरतिर उडेर त्यहाँस्थित रेस्टुरेन्टमा काम गरेर बसेका थिए । तर यसपालि भने शाहले पैसाको भारी नै बोकेर गएको बताइन्छ ।
